Overall meeting went well, he was nice and ensured us of his ability to do the job and his back and forth communication with clients. He asked for 2500 up front, then 1700 halfway and 800 on completion of work. -Dave did a decent job knocking out wall top open up kitchen but managed to cut a major electric line that we had to pay to have fixed by an electrician. His mudding and sanding/patching of holes was "ok" at best leaving large indents in the walls and not filling in nail holes. After his first day he was pretty much impossible to get a hold of on a phone and would not return calls for days claiming he had gotten busy at his other jobs and didn't have time to call us back. I told him I wanted better communication while we were working with him and he agreed but the non-communication continued. He then needed to install our cabinets which we had special ordered but demanded to work on the weekend even when we told him it was a bad time for us with our family. He said he had to do it then because he had a bigger job to do in another town. His attitude then changed and he began being short and rude with us. He installed half of our cabinets and the crown molding. The cabinets where set at the wrong heights and his lack of skills shined brightly when he completly messed up our molding and then when asked about it said "well thats just the way it's going to be" and would not fix it. Then he asked to be paid for the remainder of the job before it was finished and when I would not pay him he got angry and was even more short with us. He rushed through the lower cabinets and the height on them was wrong and they appeared to be floating in the air. He blamed our house being uneven and said there is nothing he could do about it. I would not recommend him to anyone in the area for work. You would have better luck hiring a high school vocational kid to do the work for you. His attitude and work were both poor. His main goal it seemed was to rush through our project and collect all the money he could from us. This of course, all done to best fit his schedual, not the customers.
