The technician placed the sensors in the basement or our home, came back two days letter and took the reading. He went over the results with me and discussed next steps.

Scott Parry with United Radon Sciences followed up with Big Deal coupon and was pucntual for the scheduled time. He wa professional and explained the process. He retrieved the sampling device as scheduled and provided a detailed report including levels detected and suggestions for options to consider relative to risks. A very pleasant experience.

Everything went fine, except that the rescheduling posed a bit of a problem. It meant that, on one of the days when the device was in place, we were actually moving into the house. This meant that the front door was open a lot more that day than it probably ought to have been, in order to get the most accurate radon reading. If he had come to drop off the device on the originally scheduled day, we would not have had moving day fall right in the middle of the testing period.

It was very professionally done. The report said I needed mitigation. The mitigation project (done by others) was very successful.

The guy who came out, worked within my schedule, was pleasant, arrived in the time frame agreed upon, explained everything, and came to pick up the machine that tests the Radon within my schedule too. I was very happy with the process, and the big deal. No Radon in my house.

Company provided radon detection device along with extensive background on dangers of radon, manner in which device needs to be placed to receive an accurate reading, and timing for it to be picked-up and reported back. Prompt receipt of results accompanied by information on potential harm, ameliorative steps to take to reduce effects, etc. Overall, experience was top notch and highly recommended!

I called the company and had no trouble setting up an appointment very quickly. The person came and left a radon detector in our basement -- took all of five minutes. He came back 2 days later and checked it -- found it had two contrary readings on it -- one high and one low so he reset it and left it again for another 2 days. He came back and then checked it and found that our radon reading was excellent. The whole process was painless and quick and pleasant and I would recommend this company very highly.

Very please with the outcome, the caveat comes from wanting to do a second test to make sure the remediation worked. Spoke with Mr Perry and he recommended using his website. This website is hard to navigate and not customer friendly. I emailed him through the website and have tried to contact him via phone without success. Not sure what is happening. I have no problem with Mr Perry and in fact think he is great, but the communication has not been acceptable. Hopefully the kinks have been worked out.

We got a report from seller which was done by Scott at 5/9/2012 and noticed that his license expired in 2010. Our agent and I both called him and left him a message asking for updating his certification or give us a reason so that we can be sure the report can be considered valid, no response till now( over a week). The radon test we did was 14.8 which is pretty high, after repair, The score came from Scott's report is 1.1. we closed the house at 5/10/2012. Still think maybe we should do another radon test to make sure the house is fine.

Mr. Parry of United Radon Sciences was professional, thorough and punctual. When I forgot to set out the box for him to pick up he even came back the next day, without any hassles! He explained the process to me so that I understood exactly what was happening during the test and answered all of my questions. My husband and I decided to do our radon test after purchasing our house and we are so glad that we did it with United Radon Sciences!

I made an appointment for Friday. Said he forgot, but would show up. Then apparently he forgot. He never showed up and never called. I ended up canceling the Big Deal.

I called them to do an inspection in my house and they showed up on time. They installed the radon stuff and then 3 days later, I got the results back. If needed, I would use them again in the future too.

They are more expensive than others, but were quicker to come out. There were some mix-ups and lack of communication, but overall they handled things well.

. It went well. There was a miscommunication about timing. Other than that it was fine. We had our appointment set up at 12 o?clock, he was an hour late. He called me at 10 minutes to 11o'clock to confirm the appointment. I thought he would have to leave by 11 o?clock to get here on time. I did not get the message; my cell phone did not pick it up. I figured that we had this appointment at 12 o?clock and I just came. When I called him at around 12. 40 to find out where he was he said that he did not come because I did not call back to confirm. Calling me at ten to eleven and expecting me to call back by 11o'clock to confirm was not reasonable. He then said that since he had my cell phone number he just wanted to make sure that I was going to be here. That was a little ridiculous to me. Then we had to reschedule. Once we set up the appointment I told him that I really don?t have access to cell phone as I have a two year old. Once we set up the appointment for sure, he came as scheduled. After we had our test results, Mr. Parry was very helpful in explaining them to us.

Overall, Scott did an excellent job. He was friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend him to other people looking to have their homes tested for radon. Scott called me back the same day I left a message, but I missed the call. He then called again the following morning (Thursday) and said he could come by around 10:30 that day, which was great because I had the day off. He came at around 11:00 and showed me diagrams of different house styles and said that because we were in a split level house, he would place the two detection devices in the basement den area and the sub-basement. It was a very quick set up--it took probably less than 10 minutes from his arrival to his departure. He left me with some information about radon and said he'd come back around the same time on Saturday. Saturday morning, Scott called to let us know that he'd like to head over a little earlier, but I missed his call. He came around 9:30, which actually worked out fine for us, collected the devices, did the readings, and wrote up the report. This took about 15-20 minutes max. We were happy to find out that we do not have a radon problem!

We were very pleased with the prompt response and quick results.

Scott was great. He returned my call after-hours (after I left him a message that night asking for a returned call ASAP). He then exceeded my expectations by getting to my house right after a big snow storm (when no one else was leaving their home) and doing what he said he'd do.... Very professional. Heck, I literally only joined Angie's list to give this rating!!! And he didn't even ask me to do it.
