I feel that I got good value especially since the work was performed by an electrician. If you buy one of these deals make sure the time is managed wisely by you and the technician. It helps to already have your replacement fixtures. In my case it was an afterthought. I did not know the flood lights could not be fixed but instead had to be replaced, until the technician told me. Eric, the technician was informative and professsional.

Eric was my electrician for the 2 hour slot. He was punctual (even a few minutes early!), extremely friendly, professional, informative, patient, etc. He installed a somewhat complicated antique 12-arm chandelier from Mexico into my dining room, in a 1929 rowhouse with questionable electrical everything. He was able to install the fixture and make it work perfectly, tighten up the existing rickety box, explain to me all the complexities of how to manage an old chandelier in an old house (don't ever change bulbs with the switch on, make sure the bulbs are perfectly straight/upright, etc). I had bought a 2 hour slot, and he finished the chandelier with about 20 minutes to spare so I showed him another light fixture we'd had trouble installing and he put that in for me with about 3 minutes left. He was super, my experience was great and I would DEFINITELY recommend them to anyone looking for an electrician.

My experience with this company was fantastic. I got a coupon from Angies List for 2 hours of service and I called to make my appointment. I was connected to Eric, the person actually doing the service and he asked me in detail what it is I wanted and what my price points were. He arrived right on time, with a courtesey call when he was 15 mins out. I was actaully a bit late coming back, but I kept him apprised of the situation and he was very understanding. Before the work was even started he gave me an idea of exactly what could be accomplished in what time fram, and did not pressure me to spend more to get more done. That alone was a nice change. I also have a dog and he was great with him too. The work was completed in a timely and professional fashion and I am thrilled with the results. I am definitely calling them again for any other electrical work that needs to be done in the house. Awesome Job:-)

I was traveling for the last two weeks of October, so I made an appointment for several weeks ahead. Eric called well in advance and got permission from my husband to postpone one day because his assistant would not be available that day. This morning Eric called ahead of time and let us know he was on schedule. He was cheerful, very competent, and willing to make suggestions (for example about bedroom lighting which we are beginning to consider. He and his assistant worked quietly and neatly. They accomplished a great deal in not very much time. We are very pleased with the work. Already this evening, I have referred him to a friend that I knew needed some work done.

The entire experience from start to finish was very professional. J&G Electric was prompt with a quick response to set-up a day and time for the job to be done. I had a list of priorities that I emailed which assisted them (2 professionals) to be fully prepared to begin working immediately. On the day of the job, they called 1/2 hour prior to their arrival. They informed me of the exact time they would arrive. They arrived on time and immediately began to work on the under cabinet lighting of which a former electrician had botched-up. There was a "hot" wire exposed in our kitchen ceiling (remnants of our former electrician) that J&G took care of for us. Before working with J&G Electric I was leery of any electrician working in my house but J&G has changed all of this. J&G explained everything before proceeding with work performed. Work performed: wired dining room for a chandelier; replaced light switch to include a switch with a dimmer; put a medallion on the ceiling, hung the "heavy" chandelier (a heirloom); finished switching-out 6 under cabinet lights in the kitchen; and took care of a "hot" wire that was exposed in our kitchen ceiling left by the former electrician. I was able to ascertain J&G Electric through Angie's List BIG DEAL. I've already arranged to hire J&G Electric to perform all electrical work when remodeling our bathroom in a few weeks. J&G Electric listens and offers suggestions. Overall experience was the best! Two hours of work ended-up becoming almost 3 hours of work but I was only charged for the 2 hours. J&G charges by the job so you know exactly what you are paying for. Great work!!! Thank you both!!!!

I called and was able to schedule the appointment within 1 week of calling. Eric was very prompt, he called 30 min before the scheduled appt time, and he showed up on time. He provided outstanding service. He was very personable and professional. I had him install a cable outlet in a guest bedroom, he had to run cable through the attic and outside the house to the source. Very good work, including hiding the cable on the outside of the house. He cleaned up after himself. I was very pleased with the results and we are enjoying cable tv in that room now. This job actually took a little over 2 hours to complete. I also had Eric provide me with an estimate to install recessed lights in my finished basement and will probably have him perform the work. I do plan to get additional estimates from other Angie's list electrical contractors before making a final decision. But I will most likely choose J&G Electric because of the great service on this job.

Fantastic experience with this company, especially Eric, the electrician. He was friendly, helpful in educating me, and did a fantastic job. Eric called before he arrived, as promised, was on time, and very clean. He even worked around my housekeeper who was here cleaning. Eric helped me figure out which fan and which light fixture should go in each room, and then he installed them perfectly. He cleaned up every little bit of packaging, AND took the grimy old fans away! This saved me from using one of my 5 "large item pick-ups" that public trash service in Montgomery Country requires or going to the dump!. Also while he was here, I asked him to estimate installing some wall sconces I bought, which required moving some electrical boxes. Eric was extremely knowledgeable and gave me a written estimate, and he had his schedule so I could schedule it right on the spot. I was so impressed I'm not even bothering to get any other estimates, just looking forward for Eric to return and do the work.

I love them. We used the big deal for this service and we paid just the big deal amount. The guy Eric was fabulous. He was very friendly and very knowledgeable. He’s very approachable and very quick. We had an entire list and he got through it in two hours even though we bought four. So we still have two hours to bill. We will use their services again in the future.

It was an absolutely great overall experience. I scheduled the appointment a few days in advance for a J&G electrician who called in advance to confirm, showed up right on time, and completed the work in a very professional manner. This was the best $119 I ever spent. J&G is the go-to company for all my future electrical installation/problem-solving needs.

They were excellent. We had Angie's list coupon for $75 off. They had an odd way pricing. They were going to do a big job later and they didn't charge for the first call. The price was lower. The experience went very well. They are very patient and genius. They solved my problem. They came out the next day. They were an hour late, but they apologized.

We hired J&G through a Big Deal ... Without hyperbole, this was by far our best repair experience to date. Eric is punctual, professional, incredibly responsive, honest, and as reasonably priced as an electrician can get. I can't say enough nice things about him and the quality of his work. I recommend his services without any reservations.

He called just before arriving, arrived on time, was very professional and explained exactly what he was he intended to do. We had other out to inspect and give estimates - but his price and solution for what needed to be done was the most reasonable to get the job done correctly. He has a great personality and I trust his work and opinion.

Overall I was quite pleased. I had to leave before he finished; when I returned I realized I had not been clear about the switch for the motion lights. I called him up and he offered to come back the same day to remedy it. Great service. Price was just a bit higher than I had hoped.

WOO -- HOO !!! I am so happy! I've owned property in the area for several years - and have dealt with many electricians and plumbers. This young man - Eric - was amazing! He was so fast! I kept having to run around and find things for him to do to use up the time - and he still finished with time left over! He replaced all the OLD outlets in my 120 year old house. They were loose and wiggly in the wall + the plugs would fall out because the prong openings were old. He fixed a chandelier in about five minutes. PLUS - he had a great friendly attitude! He was so knowledgeable and talked me through what he was doing. I want to call/email all my friends and tell them I've found a GREAT electrician. This truly made my day - oh - and he actually arrived early ! I don't think I've ever had that happen before!

J&G reduced their rate a bit given the minor nature of the problem. J&G also gave me a very reasonable quote for replacing/updating the circuit breaker in my home. They quoted me prices for the job over the phone. Prior to beginning service, they reviewed the pricing structure with me again and the information matched. I remain very impressed with their professionalism and will certainly contact them again in the future!

I am very satisfied with my experience with J&G. Eric and Alicia showed up on time and with good attitudes. Eric priced out everything on my list and did not appear frustrated that I opted to save some projects for a later time. Then he and Alicia got to work. They kept me informed of what they were doing and asked questions as needed. They even cleaned my ceiling fan before installing it and wore booties over their shoes to keep from tracking dirt in my house! When I realized that I needed remote control sensors (after two ceiling fans were already installed), Eric suggested I run to the store (which is very close by) while he was working on something else. He and Alicia went back and installed the sensors in the fans that had already been mounted without any fuss. The rest of the work went off without a hitch. The job took most of the day but there was no sitting around; these guys kept moving. I appreciated Eric offering his thoughts about various projects and overall had a very good experience with this company. Because Eric and Alicia did a great job, were upfront with their pricing and were considerate, I will definitely call J&G in the future for my electrical needs.

I used an Angie's Big Deal coupon for this contractor for a couple of jobs I needed to get done. The day before the electrician, Eric, came over he called to verify everything he'd be doing. I informed him about a third item and he said he'd take a look. Not only did he take a look but he fixed it right away. This was an item that my home warranty company wouldn't take care of so I was very relieved to find an electrician who was willing to work with me.I'll always use J&G for my electrical needs moving forward. This experience exceeded my expectations from the very start. From the first phone call that I made until the service was finished, he was professional, polite, and the price was just right. An electrician from another company came and gave an estimate that was many times higher than what we ended up paying. I will definitely use J&G Electric the next time we need this type of service.
