He was absolutely wonderful. Made the repairs and patiently explained what I did wrong. Provided options for the front door bell problem. The young man was friendly and very professional. This is my Go-To place from now on for everything electrical!

Everything was done quickly and professionally. The only small disappointment is that tech did not clean the mess after the work was done. Although it was not a big deal. I think I'd use them again in the future.

Everything turned out well, and it was a good experience. The two electricians were on time, did the inspection as promised, and did a good job with all of the additional projects. We're just waiting for the Fairfax County inspector to approve the work at this point.

The technician was very professional -- on time and good at teaching me about my home's electrical system. He was honest about what must be repaired vs. what COULD be repaired.

I had them come out on 6/11 to install a ceiling fan and light in my son's room. The existing light was connected to the dimmer switch on the wall. Upon arrival he asked my wife if we still wanted the light on the dimmer, which we did. After completing the work, on his way out the door, he explained that he had wired both the fan and the light to the dimmer switch. This meant that dimming the light also slowed the fan and vice versa. Obviously this is unacceptable, and I have no idea why he would have even attempted to wire it this way. My wife was dealing with a screaming baby at the time and wasn't able to go confirm how it was done. He also left a personal business card and asked us to contact him if we had any other work to be done. At this point we called your CET back to have someone out to correct the wiring so that we could dim the light independently from the fan control. They scheduled an appointment for 6/24. The same technician came out again. Blamed the problem on instructions from my wife (all she told him at the start of the job was that we still wanted to dim the light), claimed he told her it wouldn't work at the first appointment (he didn't say anything until he was literally on his way out the door). He went to Home Depot, bought a $40 remote add-on for the fan, and mounted it in the wall plate. While this will work, it's still not ideal. He then asked for a personal check made out to him for the remote, and tried to charge an additional $95 to your company when I was told there would be no charge to correct the original installation. Additionally, the wall around the switch, the ceiling around the fan, and the fan itself are filthy, and the entire room smells of cigarette smoke. He again asked us to contact him directly for any additional work as he left. After sending the above description to the company, they offered to either come back out a third time to finish the work, or to give me a refund on all the labor charges. I accepted the latter.

We purchased a whole house safety inspection on Angie's Big Deal when we were experiencing several electrical issues. Certified Electrical Technologies performed the inspection, did trouble shooting, and resolved what turned out to be minor issues. They also installed a GFI outlet in the kitchen and replaced a ceiling fan with a light fixture. The technician was professional and answered all my questions. I will definitely call them again when I need electrical services!

The electrician was fantastic. Made some solid recommendations that we implemented. We have relocated out of northern Virginia, but we definitely would recommend this company.

They did a great job, they were very professional and dedicated since it is time consuming work. From the day I met Gary Epstein for the estimate, I felt that they were very interested in providing us with the best possible service and price available. I am going to use their services again since I will be doing some upgrades and additions to our home.

Overall, I was very happy with the work. The electrician was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. The outlet fix was fast. His quote for future work accounted for a couple different decisions of where would place the freezer. He was also very helpful in re-doing the lights considering we did not know the exact height of the bed. The only complaint is that not all of the wiring for the ceiling lamps was pushed into the base (he left the wiring long in case we needed to relengthen the lights later), so the lamps are not quite flush with the ceiling.

Excellent! They did an fabulous job and we couldn't be happier. The work in one bedroom was difficult because of the roof configuration but they worked hard, long and patiently to do the job right! The fans are working as well as they did the day they wree installed, no wobbling or noise. We're very happy.

This is the second time I've used CET for a small electrical project. The first time, I used an Angie's List deal to have them change out a ceiling fan and replace a loose circuit breaker. The second time, they split a single toggle switch for my powder room light and fan into two toggle switches so that I could turn on the light and fan separately. On both occasions, the CET technician was thoroughly professional, friendly, and arrived fully prepared for the work that was being done. All projects have been completed with a minimum of muss or fuss, and the technician was thorough in cleaning up when the work was completed. On the second visit, the technician did accidentally dislodge the toilet paper holder from the wall (due to the close working quarters in my powder room), but he promptly reinstalled it with no problem.

Certified Electrical Technologies (CET) was great. Communications with them regarding our appointment time was all performed online, which made tracking the time easy. They did a great job, quite quickly, and cleaned up when finished. I would definitely recommend them to others.

Right from the start I was impressed by this company. The gentleman who handled my call asked a number of detailed questions to be sure what the problem was so he could send out the right materials. Availability for appointments was much better than I expected, and I got scheduled for the next week. Dave was punctual, called when on the way, and quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. He took the time to examine the light fixture we thought was broken and repair it, which saved us the money of having to install a new light fixture we had here just in case. He was friendly and courteous, and got the job done quickly. I would highly recommend this company and Dave to anyone needing electrical work done. I have already passed along the company's name and number to my parents who need electrical work done soon.

The $89 cost was a relatively small price to pay for the peace of mind this safety inspection provided. I was very pleased with the service I received. David L., the technician who performed the inspection, was thorough and very helpful with answering questions and addressing each of my concerns. I was relieved that the inspection revealed only one issue with no power to a GFI in the bathroom. I've scheduled a return appointment for CET to perform the necessary repairs. I look forward to doing additional work with them when I replace the lighting fixtures in my kitchen.

Alan called when he was on his way, arrived on time, listened to my description of what I needed done and why, explained what he was going to do before he did it, took time to answer my questions and checked to make sure everything worked correctly before he left. This was, in a sense, a two part job. We will take Alan's advice on a type of lighting fixture to purchase and then have him return to wire and install it. Overall very satisfied and would recommend.

Fine; used them in past; first time I had this specific employee at my house; took much longer than expected/quoted and had to call complain about the slowness in job performance. Was able to obtain refund for part of the labor. Ask for Rob to do the job; he's excellent.

The tech called ahead to let us know his location and estimated time of arrival (~30min). He had detailed knowledge about the houses in the area and already knew the layout of mine. He spent less than an hour identifying and correcting the issue. I have had other companies come out for the same problem and they spent 2+ hours and never found what the real cause was. Other companies suggested extreme and costly "fixes". CET found the problem almost immediately and corrected it quickly. CET will be getting all of my electrical business for all of my properties going forward. I highly recommend this company.

The technician was courteous and professional and assessed all issues quickly with great communication. It took him just minutes to figure out the problem with my outlets and fixed it right away. Previously, I had a another contractor look at the same problem and he said that he would not be able to fully assess and/or fix the problem without several hours of work at $70/hour. Therefore, I decided to go onto Angie's List and find a reputable electrician who would know what he was doing. I called CET to talk to them about the issues first. The technician took the time on the phone to explain things to me and to talk me through how to fix the problem myself! I decided to just purchase the Whole Home Inspection package which saved me lots of money and time and headache! I also appreciated the fact that the company followed up with me via email/phone to remind me to change/replace the batteries in my smoke detectors. I felt like the technicians took pride in their work. The transaction was not about making money, it was about making sure the homeowner was satisfied with the service. I would use them again, if needed.

The technician, Dave, was personable and on time. I showed him the defective outlets and he got right to work. He replaced the 5 defective outlets with new outlets. He was done in about 30 minutes. Very easy to deal with and we would use this company again.

We bought a Big Deal for electrical safety inspection of our house. It was easy to set up an appointment. The technician was punctual, very professional and very pleasant to work with. He pointed out some issues with our electrical system and provided an estimate for fixing the problems. We are very happy with the service that we received.
