I really thought they were overpriced. They pull you in with a lower deal and then told me there minimum was a $100.

Service was prompt and courteous. Electrician listened to my questions and answered in plain language. I felt confident that he was being responsible and thoughtful about finishing the job properly without padding the time.

I asked them to install an outlet near the kitchen range. I talked to a representative over the phone and they assured me they could do the outlet. I also ask about wall sconces but they would have had to tear out the drywall, so I did not have them do that part of the project. I was not told that initially over the phone. The outlet was not installed into the wall and it was just a box near the floor. I was not happy about that, but the outlet did work. The technician did not use the full time I purchased. He kept going out to his vehicle and talking on the phone with another coworker. I was felt uneasy about that.

Certified has done work for us on several occasions. This time they added a new power outlet in our basement ceiling. Rob arrived right on time, was courteous, clean working, and quick. As always, we will continue using Certified for future work.

Dave was prompt and extremely courteous--work was exceptional! We are very pleased with the job. Would highly recommend and most definitely use again.

We were very satisfied with the work completed by Rob. He was pleasant , efficient , and worked quickly. He was knowledgable and helpful in answering questions.

I called CET on Tuesday and they were able to fit me in on Thursday. The electrician, Dale, was polite, punctual and competent. He explained what the problem was and how some of the switches had been wrongly wired. He worked quickly and efficiently and got all the switches to work. The price was reasonable and I did get an Angie's list discount. I later found out that while all the switches worked, one of my hallway lights was not working. I called the company and am scheduling another visit to assess the problem and replace the light fixture and fix whatever wiring needs fixing. I was impressed by the overall work and by the responsiveness of the company.

They were on time and did a very good job with the work.

I did not think the inspection was worth the effort. It was pretty simplistic

Overall experience was good. All I had to do was shut the light off in the socket he was working, and he took care of the rest. He disassembled the light fixture that was already there, and put the new fan in its place. He even assebled the brand new ceiling fan that we had purchased separately, as I thought I would have to assemble it ourselves before he placed it. He didn't really need anything else from us, was quiet, and was in and out of the house within 40 minutes! The only negative with the entire experience was that the technician came about 15-20 minutes to the right of the arrival window, but once I called to follow up (approx 20 minutes from end of arrival window), the office was quick to respond to the inquiry.

My experience was okay. They just used a machine on a plug and showed the electrical. I felt the appointment was a little too simple. There was one electrician here doing the work and he arrived on time for the appointment.

Initiated a home warranty claim on a bath exhaust fan that was not removing moisture from the bath appropriately, however, the motor was working. This was causing water to literally drip down the walls after showering. Technician came out with a new motor in hand and replaced the motor on the fan. Technician was very knowledgeable and timely, and this review is not a reflection on him. However, after the motor was replaced, we noticed the fan was still not exhausting the moisture from the bathrooms after showering. I called CET and spoke to someone who answered the phone to address this problem. He stated that exhaust fans are made for odor only, not moisture removal. Furthermore, he stated that my home warranty would not cover the exhaust fan not removing moisture. This statement is so ridiculous, I thought I must have misunderstood, so I questioned that he actually meant to say exhaust fans aren't supposed to remove moisture. He then got very rude with me and nasty. So in the end, we paid $75 for CET to take an exhaust fan with a motor that was spinning, and replace the motor and NEVER address the problem. Had to take the matter up with the home warranty company and get another company out to fix the problem. Very dissatisfied with CET and their customer service. Update on 9/11/14: After reading the provider's response, I stand by my initial review. This is NOT a review of my home warranty (as stated above we had another electrical company resolve the issue). I requested the fan be fixed since it did not properly remove moisture. Neither my home warranty, nor did CET ever express to me that this would not be repaired, until after my money was taken (several weeks after in fact once I called to complain the problem was not resolved). I did contact my home warranty regarding if this was covered and they stated in fact that it WAS and they resolved the issue. So, CET offering to replace my fan at my expense, was not needed and further proves what a poor company they are. Also the fact that they responded to state that this is a review of my warranty company shows me the quality of their company. I was not reviewing my warranty company, I was reviewing the fact that they charged me $75 to replace a motor that was working, with a motor that works without addressing my main concern of moisture build up. If they had in fact come to me at the initial repair and stated that the fan could not be fixed but instead needed to be upgraded, I would have hired them. However, they charged me $75 to not fix my problem and then proceeded to argue with me and ask for more money for an upgrade. Very poor customer service and really a bait and switch operation, this is why I have given them the bad review. I don't appreciate companies taking my money to not resolve my initial complaint. As stated above, had they come out, reviewed my issue and then suggested an upgrade I would have considered it. However, instead, they took my money to fix nothing and then when I had to call them back to question their work, told me I needed to spend more money. During the initial visit, they NEVER stated I needed a more powerful fan or a replacement and in fact indicated that replacing the motor would address my problem. So in the end, I do not feel this is 'misplaced' anger as CET response suggest, since my problem was resolved by a different company.

Replaced 2 switches in the kitchen. I was highly impressed with the professionalism of the technician. He ws very gracious about answering questions from my nephew who started to do the repair but decided an electrician needed to do it. We asked the technician to look into a problem with the ceiling fluoresent lights in the kitchen. He recommended first replacing the light bulbs and gave us the part number. Then if that didn't work gave me an estimate for replacing ballasts. I was very appreciative that he did not recommend going ahead with the repair but suggested we try replacing the lights first and also that he gave us the fluorescent light part numbers.

It went really well. The man who came out was pleasant and went right to work. He did his job. He was on time. We are really happy. He even fixed one of our outlets that wasn’t working right.

. I had an electrical problem late this afternoon. i called an spoke with Gary. He was very professional and explained very clearly my alternatives and costs. He was able to get someone to come by within an hour of my call. However, in the meantime I was able to make contact with a very good electrician friend. He agreed to come by and look at my problem. I called Gary back and told him i no longer needed anyone to come by. I offered to pay him for his time but he graciously declined. I thought he deserved a good word on Angie's list for his trouble.

Prompt, courteous and competent. The detectors were previously installed, but we had an issue, which CET covers for life. I had done some electrical work in the garage, but needed help to make them safer. CET took care of everything and we're very happy.

Dale came on time and performed the work so efficiently and well, I cannot say enough good things about the experience. He did his best to minimize any cutting of the walls that needed to be done and fully explained any issues or questions. The work was done above my standards in such a professional manner and the final cost was less than our quote. The price was actually half of what another competitor quoted us at. I would use them again in a heartbeat and am so happy to have found a trusted electrician for future projects.

Things went really, Really well. I was thinking OMG this going to cost me an arm a leg. It didn't I paid 95.00. The electrician arrived on time he was friendly and quite competent. I showed him the things that weren't working one thing needed to be fixed the others just tweaked. I am very happy, he could have said I needed a lot of work and I wouldn't have known the difference.

I called Certified Electrical Technologies to schedule an appointment at 11:00am on a Tuesday morning. I had outlets and lights inside and outside the house that were inoperable. Over the phone, the gentlemen on the line talked me through quick troubleshooting; within minutes the problem was solved!! All three of my problems were fixed over the phone at no cost. CET just guaranteed me as a customer for life when I need to call them for a bigger job.

During the install, I asked Chuck several questions about pricing for electrical switches and covers that I also wanted installed. Chuck quoted me a price of $95 per hour and I hired him to install two 4-way switches, a 2-way dimmer and several outlet covers. Chuck noted that one of the 3-way switches that had been installed by another company was improperly installed which prevented the light switch on another wall from turning on. He quickly fixed the problem and also installed several outlet covers.

It was a simple replacement. It took the electrician about 10 minutes. The minimum charge is for one hour plus the material.

They have been very helpful both times. I am pretty sure that I got them from Angie's List. I had a small problem in the basement; lights were just shutting off. I have had an electrician before. I contracted with him to actually replace all the lighting in the house. Shortly thereafter, I started having problems in the basement. They said that they will probably have to start tearing in the walls to see where the problem was. Certified Electrical came in and said that it was a short and an extension cord. I thought that was pretty good. As soon as we unplugged the extension cord, everything worked. The second time, it was losing a couple of outlets in the kitchen. All of a sudden, I lost all the outlets around the sink and stove. They came out. The outlet that I was losing first of all was on an island. Those outlets had been replaced because I've had that issue before. Within a half an hour, he was in and out; he had diagnosed the problem and that was it. I want to get some under cabinet LED lighting before the kitchen gets remodeled, and I am probably going to use them. They are good, quick and extremely reasonable for this area. They were right on time.

It worked well. We hired them for more work. They got the job done but they didn't clean up well after.

It went well. Dale, the technician, has coincidentally been assigned to service my electrical issues since 2013. He is always pleasant and professional, even through frustrating times. For example, while trying to install the light, he had to go to his truck to retrieve parts that would ensure that the light would attach to the electrical source on the house. Afterwards, he patiently adjusted the motion sensor and the range switches until I was comfortable. I will be calling CET in the near future to have them install another exterior light near my front door.

The service went very well. It was easy to schedule through their online chat. They gave an estimate of $800 - $1000 and the actual price was $900 The service tech called before arriving and arrived early. He worked closely with us to make sure we understood what he was doing and that what he was planning on doing was what we wanted. He installed all of the boxes, fans, switches, and switch covers while minimizing the mess created to the house. He cleaned up and compiled all of the trash. The fans were installed exceptionally well. They are controlled by the switches, the are mounted solidly, and run well. There is no movement or wiggle when the fans are running. He was able to do all of the work without any damage to walls, ceilings, or furntiture
