Possibly the most honest contractor I have ever worked with. They convinced Pepco to address a problem that clearly was a Pepco problem. This is something that they could have easily charged me several hundred dollars for. They also addressed an out of code problem in my home. Even while addressing the issue they did it in the most cost effective manner. By looking for the ways to do things in the most cost effective manner they reduced their bill but, they gained a customer forever. I can't say enough good things about Certified Electric

Installed showed up on time and called prior to arrival. He was courteous and professional and all work was completed in 2 hours. He did a complete and thorough jog and left the site neat.

We got water proofing done in our basement and they moved our sub pump. There was no electricity on that room. They came out once and we were trying to install day's board heating in our sun room. They came out and they looked at it. They were very concerned that the day's board heat would actually melt the side of the walls because its kind of panel construction and its plastic. They were worried it was going to melt the plastic. They advised us not to do it. They came, looked at it and then they didn't do it. They didn't bill us or anything. They always have been very professional. They look at the joib, decide what needs done and they propose it to you. My husband will only call them.

A prior electrician had reconfigured the switches that controlled four light fixtures on two levels, when he installed a ceiling fan in the hallway upstairs. Unfortunately, the new configuration required walking through the hallway, in the dark, to get to the single switch that turned on the ceiling light fixtures while the fan could be turned on and off using the wall switches at both ends of the hallway right outside of the bedroom doorways. Todd and Allen were able to sort through the mess, which necessitated looking at the original switches and wiring located in the attic, and get everything working the way it should have. They were a great team of professionals, and I wouldn't hesitate to have either of them perform additional work in the future. In fact, my next appointment with Certified Electric is scheduled at the end of the month, to install new porch lights.

The technician was on time and courteous. He replaced the alarms and explained the instructions for the alarms.

Contractor arrived as scheduled and went straight to work. He examined the electrical panel and then got to work testing all of the outlets for power. He answered a few questions I had about some other issues and then wrapped up and left.

I called them Monday afternoon and they set me up for Tuesday afternoon. The electrician called to tell me how was 30 minutes from my house (much appreciated). Started working as soon as he arrived - worked with me to be sure the switches were set to my preference. I have used the company before and will use them again.

I had a question about the code requirement for one of the two fixtures. I referred to Angie's list to find a highly rated electrician and found Certified. I emailed through Angie's List and received a prompt reply and the information I needed to be sure I purchased a lighting fixture with the correct specifications. Certified provided a ballpark estimate for the work over the phone. The price seemed fair and the final bill was $5 less than quoted. The morning of the service call, Certified's technician, Rob, called first and arrived within the time window. He was polite, knowledgeable and did the work with a minimum of disruption and left the two rooms clean. In one of the rooms Rob had to make three small holes 3" square holes in order to run the electrical. We patched it and touched up the paint ourselves (later my daughter told me about the Wall Doctor drywall repair kit, a product she had seen on Shark Tank. I wish we'd known about that before my husband did the repair -- so check that out). Overall a great job and I would highly recommend Certified.

Chuck the technician showed up on time and worked with me to determine exact number of lights required. He performed the work very professionally and made sure I was aware of everything he would do before performing the work. He cleaned up the area after work was done. Chuck was great to work with. Couldn't be more pleased with the final results and would certainly use provider again.

Initially, I had them out to repair one outlet, but I had him repair a couple more. One electrical completed the job in about an hour. They were very helpful. It went very well. I definitely would use them again as I think they were outstanding.
