The electrician Dave was very professional. He is very knowledgeable in doing his job.

The Technician came in, looked around to assess the situation, then got to work replacing them safely. He cleaned up any mess he made....which was minimal. He replaced the covers over the outlets. It took about an hour.

I lost power to a quarter of my house and checking the fuse box it was clear something had tripped a breaker Resetting it didn't work so something was clearly still a problem. Called CET around 7:30am and they had an electrician (Dale) out to my house by 11am the same day. Since this affected a large portion of the house Dale had to effectively check all the lights and power outlets in order to determine the offending circuit. This took some time but he was thorough and thoughtful about his approach. Turns out that a wire which had been run outside of the house to a garden light was installed incorrectly and above ground it was causing a short and anyone stepping on this could have been electrocuted. A good thing to know about. Dale disconnected the power to this circuit and cut the wire so there is no way this can cause any additional problems. I have all my lights back and power outlets working fine now. Thanks for quick response time and an excellent technician who knew his stuff.

When I called the company, I had trouble describing what the issues were because I wasn't sure why some of our outlets kept tripping certain breakers, and I wasn't sure why some of our outside outlets did not work. Gary asked me to send him some pictures of what I was talking about and followed up with some questions so that when Jesse arrived, he would know all of the issues. Jesse, our technician, was extremely polite and professional. He asked me a lot of questions to figure out what all of our issues were and then did a full inspection of all of the wiring in the basement and outside. He organized all that he felt needed to be done and went over it all with me to make sure I understood and agreed . Jesse made his first priority some dangerous wiring in the basement that he discovered was arcing. He also brought our house up to current standards by installing some GFI outlets (including one for an outside freezer which will alert us if it goes off), installing new smoke alarms, putting in a carbon monoxide detector and replacing an outside outlet box to make it weather proof. There were several poorly installed outside outlets that we simply did not need, but instead of just updating them all (more $), Jesse advised us to have them disabled and removed, which he did. Jesse answered all of my questions, was conscious of his time in order to keep the price low and went above and beyond to make sure we understood everything he was doing and how much it would cost in the end. This was our first experience with an electrician and I would highly recommend Certified and especially Jesse. Thank you!

I had purchased a Big Deal for the installation of a new ceiling fan for $265.00 from Angie's List. The electrician, Rob, arrived on time. He installed a new ceiling fan (that I provided) in the dining room of my townhouse. He explained what he was doing every step of the way. There were no problems with the installation. Rob couldn't have been nicer. I have used this company in the past for other electrical jobs. They provide great service; and, all of the electricians have been knowledgeable and very nice. I will definitely use them again for my next electrical job. I recommend them highly.

Went OK, it was not an in depth audit. According to the technician everything was in order, which I now believe as he showed a lot of interest on selling to us other services the company provides.

Irresponsible and angry agent on the phone

Alan called 15 minutes prior to his arrival. Once he arrived I explained the work that had to be done. He was very efficient in taking care of everything and cleaned up when the work was finished. He was at my house for approximately 1.5 hours and charged $225 for labor and $50 for materials, which I believe is very fair pricing. I will not hesitate to use CET in the future for my electrical needs.

Dale arrived on time and got right to work taking apart and repairing our wall fixture. The scheduler at Certified had smartly recommended we have new fixtures on hand in case the old ones could not be repaired. Luckily the old one could be repaired but I thought the recommendation a good and and it eliminated the possibility of a 2nd service call. We will return the purchased fixtures. This was the 2nd time we have used Certified and have been very satisfied with their work

Jesse from CET came out to look at an electrical issue, was able to diagnose quickly and re-wire a bunch of outlets that were improperly put in by a previous contractor. Worked fast, kept me informed and whole time and did a really great job,

Went great. Dave showed up before 9 and took less than 30 minutes to install new breakers and the surge protector. He explained what he was doing in a clear manner.

They were very good I was very pleased with them. The total cost was the price paid for the Big Deal. They were very good. The only thing I would say is it probably could have been less expensive. They were on time for the service.

Jesse Rosenthal was the electrician sent by CET to fulfill our request for installing multiple ceiling fans. We were given a quote online and it compared favorably compared to other quotes for the time it would take ( approx 4 hours). Jesse was on time, friendly & offered suggestions on the mounting ( flush mounting vs downrod) in the various rooms. He also found flaws in one of the fans we had purchased (we purchased fans & remotes before hand from Amazon & Home Depot) and he recommended we return the item. After installing, he cleaned up. He took a couple of smoke breaks & calls but he did not charge us for that time. We were happy with the service and would definitely go with Jesse or anyone sent by CET.

I did not know what to expect, but I couldn't have been more impressed. Alan checked every outlet and fixture (including the attic), plus the electrical panels and smoke detectors. He explained what he was doing without having to ask and willingly answered my numerous other questions. He suggested some fixes for track lighting problems. I intend to have him come back to replace the outdoor outlets and upgrade some outlets in the kitchen.

Highly recommend CET. Allen did a great job fixing the issues that I was having in my condo. He was very professional, courteous, and efficient. I will absolutely use CET again in the future.

Jesse was excellent. Very knowledgeable. He completed a very thorough inspection on a very complicated electrical situation in my home. He took extra care to check everything carefully. He was especially expert at explaining the results of the inspection so I could understand our deficiencies. You can rely on Jesse!

This went better than planned. The CET electrician was punctual and efficient, and quickly figured out the confusion of 5 switches (both wired and remote) controlling a foyer ceiling fan/light and also an upstairs light, so as to replace the ceiling fan/light with an antique light fixture. When going to install the fixture he realized it was missing several parts and explained what was needed to complete the installation. After he left I found that I had most of what was needed (packed up in the basement) and only needed one additional part, which we purchased. Then we installed the fixture ourselves and all the wiring and switches worked as planned. We will definitely use them again for other electrical issues.

The technician arrived on time. He could not remove the set screw and had to saw through it so that the head could be removed. Once that was done he replaced the light fixture. A transformer needed to be replace and I asked the technician if he would go to the hardware store and find one which he did. After the installation was complete, the light worked perfectly. I could not be happier.

The electrician, Alan, called before arriving in the allotted time frame. He inspected all exterior and interior electrical outlets, fuse box circuit breakers, fire alarms, electrical grounds, water heater and furnace and emergency shut off circuits near sinks. He noted the cover for the front exterior outlet needed replacement. When inspecting the back exterior electrical boxes he pulled out the old caulking which was letting in cold air to the townhouse and re-caulked everything which was really outside the scope of the house inspection. The area now is no longer leaking cold air into the townhouse. After the inspection we discussed his findings and some needed changes to make the townhouse safer. Alan was an exceptional electrician (professional and informative) and in my view a valued representative of Certified Electrical Technologies. The house inspection exceeded my expectations and I would certainly recommend the company to others. I will use them again to fix the areas Alan found in his inspection.
