They are pretty good. I think because they are close to my house. The work took a half a day. They can provide me some sort of transportation. The car was pretty good. I went there quite a few times. Good.

When I went to them about the battery, the guy embarrassed me in front of everyone and said they weren't going to honor the warranty and give me a new battery. Luckily, I had already taken it to the service area and it had been switched out. When I went to them about the tires , I talked to John Azigi, the manager. He questioned me about whether or not I had bought the tires from them. I said yes, and he confirmed that in the system. Then he told me it would be a 4 hour wait and was very rude. It was early in the morning and I was one of 2 people in there. I am tired of their bad service. I have repeatedly requested to be removed from their email list, but I keep getting emails from them. I will never go to them again.
Description of Work: I bought a battery from them and went to them when the battery wasn't working. It was under warranty. I all took my car to them for new tires. I went back because I needed a flat repair.

After numerous phone calls and two visits to the store they agreed to take back the adjustable base with a 15% restocking fee, then refused to take back the mattress as THEY STATED I ALREADY HAD RECEIVED A MATTRESS REPLACEMENT which was incorrect. After numerous visits they agreed to take the mattress back WITH NO RESTOCKING CHARGE, but when I check my credit card statement they deducted 15% from the correct refund amount. I called store management, they referred me to the returns department who referred me to store management........ Here I am with a "no questions asked 60-day evaluation period" sale with a total of $600.00 in restocking fees and I have no recourse. Sears will not stay in business for much longer with a hostile attitude and total refusal to listen to as I have accurately described a REASONABLE REQUEST. I have owned several businesses over my 40+ year career and have NEVER been treated with such disrespect and incompetence. Why??? FYI customer service, my original sales agreement number was 014240827574 - for what it's worth as I can't imagine you would ever follow up on this LEGITIMATE AND ACCURATELY-DESCRIBED issue. I DARE YOU to contact me and respectfully encourage me to alter my experience rating to an " A ". I dare you, please? I WANT to remember the Sears my family always took me to over the years as one of honest, respectful customer service, and I am saddened by this lack of an understanding of good business practices that lacks mutual respect during the retail transaction. I await the opportunity to enter into discussion with any Sears corporate executive who may be willing to fairly and honestly discuss (as I will also do) the failed training that this customer service experience exemplifies. Thank you.
Description of Work: I had a recent frustrating issue with Sears purchasing a mattress. I discovered AFTER THE FACT that the salesman's assurance that YOU HAVE A 60 DAY EVALUATION PERIOD ON ALL OUR MATTRESSES" was false. I complained of the discomfort of the mattress within the first week and the salesman was totally useless. I called the store management and even spoke with a rep from the main corporate office about this.

The price was not expensive. It was a special they were running. They have done everything really well and they were really timely.

I think that their service has gone way down. I still like their appliances but it's just not the same feel that it was. You buy the appliance and you pay for it and then you wait for the installation company to call you. It isn't Sears, they outsource it. It's out of Sear's hands at that point. The only thing I still like about them is their Kenmore Elites. I wasn't impressed with them in the store and now I have no more contact with them. I'll give you an example. I went and picked it out at the store. There were two models that I was considering. I wanted to go home and take a measurement to see which one and then the guy said, "You can call me back and tell me which one." We exchanged information and we'll do it that way. I did it and I called him back and hour later and I got the one that I wanted. I gave him my credit card. I gave him my email when I was at the store. I said I needed him to email me a receipt. Time goes by, like 2 hours and I called him back and I said I didn't get the receipt. He said well my manager isn't here. I asked what that had to do with it. He said if he told that to his manager I was going to have to go back into the store. The next thing I know I get a call from someone with my name in Arizona, they had mailed the receipt to them because my email is my name with numbers in it and this woman had the exact same name without the numbers. So, I never actually got the receipt from Sears. I went back in person to check out to make sure everything was fine and then the guy did mail it to me. It's a mess.
Description of Work: I got my washer/dryer, my dishwasher and I just bought a microwave that I'm sitting here waiting for the guy to come install it.

While the cost was extremely expensive, the installation went well. There was a mistake made by the salesperson regarding the pedestals working with our existing pedestals. I called the manager regarding this and they did deliver the correct pedestals at no charge. They handled the mistake well and did not push the mistake onto us.

The old one was weak and they replaced it for the cost of labor since it was under warrenty. The guys there are very cool. They fit me right in with no wait. If you ever have to wait , you can just go to the mall next door.

Needless to say it did go well. The delivery persons were here less then 17 minutes (would only speak to my wife in Spanish), refused to take off the fridge's doors so that the fridge could be placed in the kitchen - they didn't have time apparently. They nice took off the lower freezer drawer and informed my wife that I could do it when I got home. Since the fridge is not in the kitchen the installers who arrived the following day were unable to attach the water hookup. Friday (3/28) evening we contacted Sears and tried to no avail to have Sears dispatch another delivery team that evening or in the morning the next day who could w/o voiding the warranty take the doors off. When I requested to speak to a supervisor, the CSR informed me that she was the case managers. This CSR did offer my 10% off our next purchase with Sears. Later, she able passed me to a supervisor. I was finally able to be transferred to a supervisor who did open a case number. The supervisor did try to reach out to Quality Kitchens (the installer) and left a voice mail due to the lateness of the evening. On Saturday (3/29) after Quality Kitchens informed while on site there was nothing they could do. They also noted that Sears is supposed to remove and reattach the doors to these types of fridges - they see it done all the time. I again called Sears at Democracy Mall and was transferred to their Large Appliances number. Another CSR by the name of Emy (sp) was unable to to help, and tentatively scheduled someone to come over on Monday to take off/reinstall the doors so that Quality Kitchens then can come back at an unknown time to hook up the fridge. Also during the conversation Emy suggested that we purchase a smaller fridge for she believed the doors could not come off. If this was the case, over 80% of the homes in America could not have Sears Kenmore fridges. Average interior door in a home is a 2'8' (32 inches) and with the doors and handles the fridge is almost 36 inches wide. I informed Emy I did not concur with her suggestion and pointed that fact out. So right now we have to loose 3-4 days of work (that equals more then the cost of the fridge and install), unable to move about the house for where they left the fridge, and worse the wife and two god children living with us now have go out to eat or dispose any food not eaten for there is no fridge in the kitchen. I also have photos on where they just left the fridge in the middle of the hallway blocking access and other parts scattered throughout the entryway, etc. My luck, parts are missing due to the shoddy work by the Sears delivery team.

This is a minivan that is old and surplus so it was stored unused for two years and I thought that there might be a slow leak or mechanical failure. They were supposed to call me before doing any work, but they went ahead anyway and recharged the system. They use a leak dye in their refrigerant and so they can see if there is any leaks. This by the way is $40-50 if you do it yourself to get the supplies. The cooling was great but after a month, and I turned on the cooling maybe 3 times for 30 minutes total, it stopped being cool, and so I went back. The manager said they will look at it for free. The first mechanic didnt have time to determine than that there was an electrical issue since the system was fully charged. I had to go back 3 times (over a week) until someone trained finally had extra time to look at it (first come first serve but paying customers have preference) and he said both the relay and the AC compressor are burnt out so $900 to repair. What a coincidence, but they say it can happen. Im somewhat skeptical. They also didnt replace one of the AC valve cap (function is to stop leaks). I didnt see it until after a week so now the system is possibly empty.
Description of Work: No AC cooling. Sears recharged system, looked for but found no leaks.

The appliances do not seem to be working very well. I took the appliances to them in order to get them fixed, and ended up waiting for weeks for them to attend to the problems. My experience with them has been frustrating.

WE FIRST VISITED THE TIRE CENTER FOR A SECOND OPINION ON THE AMOUNT OF TREAD LEFT ON OUR TIRES. THE SERVICE CENTER AT THE TOYOTA DEALERSHIP ADVISED THAT THE TIRES HAD NO TREAD LEFT AND NEEDED TO BE CHANGED. SEARS TOLD US IT WAS TOO SOON TO CHANGE THE TIRES AND WE'D BE WASTING OUR MONEY BECAUSE WE HAD 5,000 MILES LEFT. AFTER DRIVING OUR CAR ANOTHER 5,000 MILES, WE TOOK OUR CAR IN AT 8:00 A.M., AND AS PROMISED, THEY FINISHED THE TIRE SERVICE BY NOON THE SAME DAY.
