It was an absolute nightmare. It took 5 attempts to finally get it right. They would show up hours outside there scheduled delivery time. I was told by the delivery department they would send it out the next day. I would wait and nothing came. They never called to say they were on their way or to say they were here attempting to make a delivery. I finally called and spoke to Brian an MOD who thought the situation was outrageous and he reassured me he would take care of it and I should be compensated somehow. So I decided to go into the store and spoke with Shane the MOD. He could offer no explanation as to why the problems occurred but assured me it would be on tomorrows truck. and it finally arrived. Shane told me to call him (after the actual delivery) to let him know it arrived and he would then waive the delivery fee as payment for ALL the hours wasted waiting for trucks that never came. I tried calling to store to reach him multiple times. We can all guess how that went. Never heard from him and no adjustments were ever made. The delivery process is a sham and absolutely no customer service despite their guarantee for 100% customer satisfaction. What a joke!

It turned out pretty good. The cost of service was included in the price of the appliance. The service when it happened was good, but it was difficult to arrange. My advice to others is to do it.

I was told XPO who is a contractor for Lowe's would be picking up the damaged stove today July 2, 2015 from 12-2. They never showed up and didn't get a phone call until after 2. I called up the number they left and was told the number was no longer working or the number was having technical difficulties. I finally received a message saying they were delayed and the pick up would be between 4-6!! I'm going to spend SIX HOURS waiting. Nice way to spend a day off. Conclusion: It's 4:35 and XPO just picked up the stove. I cancelled the stove I ordered from Lowe's and found a stove with all the functions I thought I had to give up in order to stay within my budget. I am getting a smudge proof stainless steel oven with a convection stove (had on my old stove) and this stove has automatic slide out racks all for $300 LESS than Lowe's. I went to Doyon's in Reading and had a pleasant experience. I later decided to get the five year parts & labor contract for $235. It took one phone call and the person who answered the phone took care of it. Can't wait to get my new stove tomorrow. I will never purchase an appliance from one of the big box stores.
Description of Work: Bought a stove which upon arrival was damaged. Was told to keep it until I got another one as my old stove no longer worked. Upon using the damaged stove decided didn't want the stove. Went back to store to pick out another model and was told would take 3 weeks. Ordered the stove but had second thoughts on the price. Waiting for Lowe's contractor XPO to pick up damaged stove.

This review really needs 2 parts: the purchase of wall to wall carpeting at the store and dealing with the store, and the actual installation done by a contracted installation service. The purchase seemed to go smoothly (it involved a visit by the installer to assess yardage, details, etc.). But when the order was written up there were approx. $500 of extras that we didn't contract for or agree to. One by one the extras were dropped, but only because we kept asking questions. After that was settled, at one point I needed to add a small service. My credit card was billed immediately but the receipt I requested 3 times didn't arrive for another 3 weeks. Lowes was quite responsive before the actual sale, but once they had my money it was difficult to get any follow-up attention from them. Finally the installers came (1 month later) to install one room and one set of stairs in one carpet, and another room and set using a different carpet. They were to need one full day and half of the next. At the end of the first day they asked if they come come back 5 days later to finish the installation. We agreed that that was okay. When they installed on the second day, there was insufficient padding to use on one of the sets of stairs (the one with the most foot traffic). Who's mistake that was we don't know, but Lowes only reimbursed us for what we paid for the missing carpet. We deemed this less disruptive than tearing down the already laid carpet and old padding and doing it completely over. We did have a problem with carpet installed under a heated baseboard in one room (it dipped off noticeably after the tack strip and looked like a long valley across the whole long side of the room. After much back and forth, photos, etc. one of the installers came back and fixed the problem to our satisfaction. The installers were pleasant and agreeable during all the back and forth, as were the employees at Lowes. However, the problems we experienced should not have happened in the first place. This whole job took too much work on our part, so we would probably not use this a box store again unless it was for a simple one-room carpet.
Description of Work: Installed carpet purchased at Woburn store.

THE TWO MAN CREW, SHOWED UP ON TIME AND DID AN EXCELLENT JOB ! UPSTAIRS ONE DAY; GROUND FLOOR ON DAY TWO. YOU WOULD NEVER KNOW THAT THEY REMOVED ALL OF THE CASINGS AND REINSTALLED THEM. WE EVEN HAVE ROOMS WITH WALL PAPER AND YOU CAN'T TELL THAT ANYTHING WAS DISTURBED. OUR LOWE'S REP WAS MATT. HE CAME TO THE HOUSE, MEASURED ALL THE WINDOWS, HELPED US EXTEND OUR CREDIT LINE WITH LOWES, ARRANGED 12 MONTH NO FINANCE CHARGE PAYMENT PLAN. HE SPENT AS MUCH TIME AS WE NEEDED TO HAVE ALL OF OUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED. OUR DAUGHTER AND HER HUSBAND HAD PELLA VINYL WINDOWS INSTALLED IN THEIR OLDER HOME DIRECTLY FROM PELLA. I DON'T KNOW IF YOU GET A BETTER DEAL THAT WAY. YOU MAY WANT TO GET 2 QUOTES. I CANNOT COMPARE JOBS AS THEY GOT MORE WINDOWS AND DOORS, AND THEY GOT THE VINYL WINDOWS. WE LOVE THE WINDOWS. THEY LOOK GREAT WITH THE REMOVABLE MOULIONS.WE LIKE THE FEEL OF THE WOOD AND HOW IT GOES WITH OUR DECOR. MAYBE ONE BENFIT OF USING LOWES IS THAT IF ANYTHING GOES WRONG, YOU HAVE SOMEONE LOCAL TO DEAL WITH.
Description of Work: MEASURED ALL WINDOWS, ORDERED AND ARRANGED FOR THE INSTALLER. THEY INSTALLLED 18 PELLA ALUMINUM ON WOOD WINDOWS, REMOVED ALL DEBRIS (OLD WINDOWS AND STORM WINDOWS).

They had a contracted person who came out to our place. They were friendly, professional, and their contract covered all the basis. It was a thorough contracted process that we got through. They are busy and so the process takes longer than if you are dealing with an individual, but once they start working, it is okay.

I used the $20 gift card for a big deal purchase. It was pretty easy I didn’t really review it online because somebody came to my house and did a service but yeah I got the gift card to the mail and I use it at the store and everything was pretty smooth. I think I bought stilt to take care of my lawn. They are just like the Home Depot so it’s a big store to buy whatever home improvement. I used the gift card pretty much soon as I got it because I did a big purchase on that day but I go there very often. I mean if you guys had the deal again I would purchase it again. As you might expected it came in the mail and it came with little letter as far as I remember and I went to the store I used the gift card. The people they are always very nice. They took the gift card it was easy I paid for the balance with cash or credit I don’t remember and uneventful. They are open very long hours everyday.

Matthew the rep from Lowes was great! Really knew his stuff, not pushy at all like some of these in home quoting services can be. Price was more than competitive with other estimates from Home Depot, Rite Windows, and a few smaller local contractors. Ordering process seamless and the actual windows came in sooner than estimated. That's where the good ends and the horror begins. The installer was on time and that was the only good thing I can say about him. The guy seemed like he had never installed awning style windows before. He was going to install them like casement windows before I stopped him. I inspected each window before he installed them ( I paid extra for finished surfaces inside and out) and both seemed to be in good shape. After install I notice two rub marks on the grid of one of the windows. Rub marks that would be made by the chuck of a cordless drill spinning while scraping the grid. When I questioned him about it he acted like he didn't know how they could have gotten there. At that point he acted like he couldn't leave fast enough. So fast in fact he left sharp scraps of wood in my drive way along with some nails. Thanks goodness I inspected the driveway and found them before it cost me a couple of tires. What I didn't notice (being distracted by the marks on my new $1000 plus windows) were the pry marks he left in the molding on the inside of my house surrounding each window. looks like he took a small pry bar and placed it right up against the wood to remove the old windows. Out steps Lowes and in steps Pella. Because I ordered Pella windows and it is now a warranty claim, everything now goes through Pella (first I thought great!) not Lowes. Woman calls me up out of the blue to schedule an inspection (first available time one month after initial install). No weekend times available, couldn't even give me a time on the date she was offering. Said a tech would call the day before to schedule a two hour window. Fine, tech comes out inspects, takes some measurements and leaves. Few weeks later I get a call from the same woman to schedule an install (same song, just a date one month in the future, no time). Take another day off work to meet the installer. Tech (different than the inspector) arrives, realizes they ordered the wrong sash. The new sash is, wait for it, a casement window not a awning style window. Again, a few weeks go by before i receive a phone call for a new install date one month in the future. I am proud to report 5 months after the initial install I have an undamaged fully functioning window. Now all that's left, is to fix the pry marks left by the first idiot installer and paint.
Description of Work: Install two decorative awning style windows.

The most important thing for future customers who need deliveries to know is: 1) ask for an operator to connect you, and 2) insist on only dealing with the delivery manager or the and quot;manager-in-chargeand quot; of the store. Never, ever call the store and ask for the Appliance Deptartment regarding any aspects of your delivery. For the most recent fridge I bought, a special-ordered black refrigerator going into an apartment I rent out in the North End, I was told that the delivery team did not have to deliver the frdige if it meant risking a parking ticket. So, to ensure the smoothest delivery, I told Lowe's that the refrigerator needed to be delivered in the morning. (The North End has many and quot;Commercial Parking Onlyand quot; spaces open between 8am-12 noon - - spaces specificially left open so that delivery trucks can make deliveries.) Unidentified people from the Lowe's applicance dept. kept calling me at home telling me I had to re-confirm delivery. They never left their name, merely messages, and quot; This is Lowe's calling. You must call us to confirm delivery.and quot; The one-time the delivery manager, Kate, called me she left me a voicemail similar to, and quot; This is Kate from Lowe's calling. You need to call us to reconfirm delivery.and quot; She never identified herself as the delivery manager, only first name. Later the manager-in-charge told me Kate was the delivery manager. One Tuesday evening between 4:30pm-7:30pm I called the Lowe's Appliance dept four separate times to try to re-confirm delivery. No-one in the Appliance dept answered any of the four phone calls, their phone just rang and rang, until I finally hung up. O.K. I finally confirm the delivery. When do they schedule me? Between 2pm and 4pm on a Thursday. Worn down by the incessant back-and-forth phone calls to Lowe's, their leaving me voicemails from unidentied Lowe's employees, my attempted communications with the store - - I sit on the outside stoop of the North End building waiting for the delivery truck. The truck shows up and live parks at a hydrant. Suprise! There are no legal parking spaces available to park in. We agree that the truck driver will talk to his manager to schedule me for next Monday moring. (I had a church meeting on Friday morning. So Monday was my next available time to accept a delivery.) Later that evening, I get a call that my fridge is scheduled for Friday delivery. I speak to delivery scheduler and push it off to Monday morning . On Monday, the fridge is delivered. To get this fridge delivered took betwwen 10-20 phone calls or attempted phone calls - I literally felt like I was banging my head against a brick wall over-and-over. The first fridge I bought from Lowe's in May of 2013, to my home in Somerville, took four devliery attempts. The first delivery attempt, the driver showed up, took out a measuring tape, pretended to measure my back stairs - - then he pronounced that the fridge wouldn't fit up the back stairs. I insisted the fridge would fit, a second delivery was scheduled, and the delivery team stood me up. No-one called. I stayed home on the allotted date and time they scheduled me for, and no-one showed up. So for the next delivery attemp, I insisted the fridge would fit up the back stairs and insisted on a different delivery team. On the third scheduled delivery, the delivery team took the fridge doors off, and brought the fridge into the house. Unfortunately when they put the fridge doors back on, they did it incorrectly. The fridge beeped incessantly. So, a fourth visit was scheduled, with a Lowe's service provider and they fixed the fridge. Multiple phone calls were required for each of these four visits into Somerville. Both refrigerator deliveries were awful, so awful, that I believe Lowe's and their delivery agent, are and quot;gamingand quot; the customer surveys by only surveying customers whose deliveries went well. Then they can feed these phony, trumped-up-statistics to their management. (I was never surveyed on the second refrigerator delivery into the North End and told to restrict my comments to only the last delivery team on my first refrigerator delivery into Somerville.)
Description of Work: Over the past 6 months, I have bought two refrigerators from Lowe's in Woburn. In both cases, the delivery experience was awful, akin to banging my head against a brick wall over and over.

I went to Lowe's specifically to purchase an item that their website indicated was available in the Woburn store. When I got there I found there was none in stock. None of the employees I spoke to seemed to have any idea why they weren't there, and didn't seem to be motivated to find out when they would be arriving. I asked to speak to a store manager; I waited ten minutes for him, he never came out of his office - and I finally left. If you are going to have and quot;product availabilityand quot; on your website, why isn't it accurate? I made a special trip to this store for this one item and came home not just empty handed, but very disappointed with quality of customer service.

That was perfect, very good, excellent. I went to the one at Woburn, MA. It was good because it was a good discount and I picked up my spring flowers and a lot of spring stuff. I hope they have it again! I would recommend it and I would buy it again. It was convenient and easy and there was nothing that I didn't like. I think I ended up spending about $50 approximately. I usually use this location. It is very good. It's close to my house. It's nice, clean and light. Help is available. If you have to return something it's easy to return.

We had a little problem. They lost my order and it took a lot longer. It was like the right hand never informed the left, but eventually I got my doors installed and the installation was fine. But because of the mix up, they did take off the price of one door - so I got one door free. I appreciated that. The quality of the job was excellent. They've put the doors square in and everything was perfect. They've put in the door handles that I purchased and everything was fine. I was very pleased that they did acknowledge the problem and they did compensate for it.

Waited 1 1/2 weeks for installation and incorrect model was installed. Waited additional two weeks and finally spoke with store manager and was told would receive call. Set up new installation and the same incorrect model was delivered. (Stopped before installed) Went back to store, spoke with department manager, told may not be able to obtain correct machine. No store in area had in stock. After a week contemplating alternative machine went back to store and decided that would take machine from floor, to be delivered in 5 days or cancel and refund money, okay'd by manager. Upon calling to determine time the day prior to delivery, was informed that installers had no knowledge of delivery and installation and would not be done on date as agreed. I finally called the corporate number to register complaint and was informed that someone would call. The next day I receive a call apologizing and asking me to set up alternate date. I wanted it delivered the following day (Saturday) and was asked if it was not possible to choose another. The correct dishwasher was finally installed well over a month after the original purchase. (I was offered a $200 off my next purchase but told the manager that I had yet to decide if I ever would shop at Lowe's and my expectation was that the money should come off the machine I had purchased, as I did not believe they would have sold the floor model at full price. This was agreed to.) Correct machine finally installed May 3rd. The quality of the dishwasher is excellent. The installers were professional and very good with ensuring it was placed properly. Their behavior throughout was irreproachable.

The first guy never showed up, so they had a second guy come out. There were no permits secured for the project, so no inspections were done. The materials used were of poor quality; the job was done without care or concern of cleanliness. The entire house was dusty and filthy. The contractor showed up only when he felt like it and the shoddy work took 3 months to complete to the low stands of Lowe's. They did compensate with a $1,200 refund. I would never hire them or patronize their store again.

TERRIBLE. THE PEOPLE I DEALT WITH AT LOWE'S INITIALLY HAD GREAT IDEAS, BUT THEY HIRE CONTRACTORS FOR THEIR WORK WHO CLEARLY ARE UNRELIABLE, THEY TRY TO BLAME THIS ON THEM INSTEAD OF GETTING IN TOUCH WITH THE CONTRACTORS THEMSELVES.
