"Robert is reliable and delightful to work with! He makes a huge difference with natural lighting in our home. I really trust him! I like that he uses environmentally friendly methods such as chemical free window cleaning solutions. I also like the variety of services he offers like blind cleaning and power washing. He has a small local company that has been around since 1999, and is such a wonderful guy!"

"The crew was very nice, careful and professional. They were very careful with their ladders. The windows are so clean, you can hardly tell there's glass there. They cleaned the screens and the window sills. The office staff and owner were very nice and concerned that the job be done well. I also had them clean the gutters. They did a great job and even pounded in some nails that had come out a little. I highly recommend Fish Window Cleaning."

"The first clean was fantastic, really great. I came home and was so relieved to see people spend the time it takes to clean a home. The next time was rushed, not the two hours that I was told I would get, and I came home to find the team leaving the house with the door unlocked even though I left my phone number and said I'd be back. The sinks and floors were still dirty, and the bed left disheveled. The owner kindly offered me a discount on the next cleaning, which I took and tried again. We had some missed emails but nothing serious to make me back out. The next cleaning was fine, but the following cleaning was problematic. There was one person for two hours (the second was on vacation). Clearly, one person cannot do the work of two people in two hours. The person, who is a very nice person, was also an hour after the window we decided on because she was busy cleaning another house right before mine, and I suspect she was heading off to one right after. There were a few major cleaning issues (shavings poured into the sink and left to dry there) and I just decided I could not work with the group again. I did not find out that there was only one person for the day until I called because the team was late. I wouldn't mind had I known, but it's a different service than a two person team for two hours. I am sure the team does a great job on some houses, I just got unlucky."

Window Cleaning questions, answered by experts

In most cases, you should get your windows cleaned one to two times annually, although you might want to complete this task more often if you live in an area with heavy pollen or heavy rain or snowfall that soils your windows. It’s also a good idea to hire a professional window cleaning service if you’re listing your property, as sparkling windows will make a big difference in terms of curb appeal and, potentially, your home’s value.

The best time to clean the outside of your house is during your outdoor spring cleaning. Wait until late spring, after the wave of pollen is done coating your home. You can also wash your house in late fall–before the first freeze–to remove leaves and branches from the gutters.

Suggesting regular dusting and spot cleaning to maintain freshness.

Regular cleaning, non-abrasive cleaners, and scheduling professional services every few months help maintain clarity and shine.

Window cleaning costs around $220, on average, but you could pay anywhere from $150 to $300 or more, depending on the number of windows, how accessible they are, and the type of windows. Some professional window cleaners charge on a per-window basis at around $10 per window, while others provide a single price for your entire home. Either way, more windows will mean higher cleaning costs. Picture windows tend to be the most affordable because they don’t require cleaning of internal components, while double-hung windows and skylights increase your price because they’re more complicated to clean and less accessible.
