Freddy and his workers were wonderful, came on time and finished the work meticulously. They cleaned up well and you would not even know there was a crew working all day in the front yard. Golden Group Construction impressed us from the start of the process when we obtained estimates for a new roof all the way through their follow-up after our roof was installed. We?d definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new roof. We contacted multiple companies to obtain estimates for our new roof and Golden Group made the best presentation by far. We appreciated Freddie?s low-key attitude: he didn?t take a hard-sell approach, but it was obvious that he was very knowledgeable. His presentation was well organized and professional, and he brought a lot of supporting materials with him (including samples of the material to be used for a ridge vent, samples of the material to be used for waterproofing, and sample shingles). The presentation even included a long list of people we could contact as references ? we love that Golden Group volunteered this information without us having to ask for it. During the initial visit, Freddie examined our existing roof with us and provided us with a detailed estimate. (And there were no hidden costs: once the work was completed, we paid exactly what had been estimated.) Freddie and Greta were both very patient with all the questions we had before we signed the contract. We really appreciated how willing they were to explain the reasoning behind their recommendations. On the day of the installation, a fleet of vehicles arrived exactly on time. Everything was well coordinated: the dumpster arrived and was placed where we requested, pallets of roofing materials were quickly offloaded from a large flatbed truck, and the work crew was able to begin working right away. They were very careful to protect our property and did a great job with the cleanup. Freddie supervised the install onsite and took pictures to show us what was going on. Freddie also brought us outside a few times so we could see first-hand how the work was proceeding. Freddie worked to accommodate us with certain requests we had, making the process as painless as possible. During our initial discussions with Freddie, we had expressed our strong desire for the job to be done in one day if at all possible. Freddie arranged to have extra members of the work crew on hand to ensure that this would be a one-day job. The crew worked quickly and efficiently, and they finished by early afternoon, well within the timeframe we requested. Also, our property wasn?t very conducive to having a dumpster sit on it for multiple days. Freddie arranged for the dumpster to be delivered on the day of the work (rather than the day before), and also helped coordinate with the dumpster company to arrange for an earlier pickup than was originally scheduled. We?ve heard stories about other contractors who vanish once they receive payment, even to the point of not finishing cleanup. Not only was that not an issue with Golden Group, but Freddie did a great job walking us through the work after it was completed and asking us if we had any questions before the crew left. Finally, Golden Group followed up with us to let us know that they submitted our roof to the shingle company for the warranty that we purchased. Again, this shows that they follow through and care about completing the work for their customers; their involvement doesn?t end the minute they receive payment. We?re proud of our new roof and the great job that Golden Group did ? it gives us a great sense of confidence that our home is well protected. We can?t wait to recommend Golden Group to our friends and neighbors.

Golden Group recently installed a new roof on our house. We had investigated several other roofing contractors but Golden Group was our choice based on their responsiveness and the quality of work that we saw on other roofs they had done in our area. Their work proposal was comprehensive and detailed, and the price was in-line with others we had received. Freddy is a nice guy; he is friendly, easy to talk to, and very knowledgeable. He patiently worked with us from start to finish, answering our many questions and offering helpful suggestions. We especially like the fact that once the job started Freddy was on site with the team and kept us updated on progress and made sure we agreed with design choices they were making. The job took just over three days (in addition to the roof they also replaced the trim on the house). They did a good job of cleanup afterwards. In the end, they did what they said they were going to do, the work quality was excellent, and there were no extra or hidden costs. The entire experience of working with Freddy and the rest of the team was completely positive and I would highly recommend their services to anyone looking for quality workmanship and materials.

Freddy, the owner, came out and described what he would do. He used all GAF materials to ensure warranty would apply. He kept me informed of start date and was there on the work day to ensure there were no issues. Crew was extremely hard working and experienced. It was a very positive experience. Would highly recommend them. Greta is also available in the office if there are any questions. Professional and hard working company.

Golden Group's service alone blew me away! The owners work ethic is a great example of how all companies should operate! They've done the work in the past, observed the good/bad of the industry and have worked to develop a company and brand that ensures the customer receives the best quality service possible at an affordable price. We had a leaking roof with many shingles that were beginning to lift up, etc. Several areas on the roof shingles were damaged due to a horrible winter with major ice d*** issues, etc. Freddy from Golden Group came to the house and he and I spent about 90 minutes discussing the scope of the project. This was primarily due to the number of questions I had. He was patient with me and answered every question I had. He was the only vendor out of 5-6 we had look at the job that actually popped his head up in to our attic as well as physically got up on the roof and took time explaining a variety of things he noticed from the roof. Work was done with extremely punctuality. We were told the job would start around 8am and the crew pulled up at 7:50am. I was amazed how quickly the team worked. All members of the crew that I spoke with were very polite. I did not notice any foul language, smoking, etc. on my property throughout the day either. There were a few things that came up during the install that required a few items that were not originally "in scope" for the project price, but Golden Group covered those for us. We had a small issue with our DirecTV dish. The crew obviously had to take it off to replace the roof, however they also reinstalled it. Apparently the signal for DirecTV is very sensitive and we weren't getting any reception on the TV. We called a DirecTV technician out who showed up the next day. Essentially we had to have a new dish installed and properly aligned. This resulted in holes in our roof where the old dish was re-installed. I notified Golden Group of this issue and even though they were at a different job over 2 hours away, Greta and a small crew of roofers came to our house and in the pouring rain removed and replaced the section of shingles with no complaints and did it quickly. Greta actually noticed some missed scraps from the project the day before and literally went around picking things up by hand. Their attention to detail is meticulous, their sense of customer service is fantastic. I can't even begin to explain how many questions I sent them prior to agreeing to the job. They patiently answered all of my questions, came to the house to talk about the project, etc. The staff, including the installers were all extremely professional and highly skilled. They did a fantastic job replacing our old roof with a new Certainteed roof. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND entrusting your next project to Golden Group! Thank you to Greta and Freddy!

Starting with very professional presentation by Freddy (owner) and excellent quote, the Golden Group took advantage of early warm days in March. They arrived promptly at 7am (including dumpster) in full force of about 10 people. Perectly organized and working as a team they quickly removed old shingles, protecting the house and surroundings with large tarps (no damage anywhere whatsoever). Then they installed Ice$Water barrier on most of the roof. Finally they installed new beautiful shingles, perfectly and very precisely. At the end they jumped on our siding repairs, finishing pretty much everything by 5pm in a single day! They cleaned everything around the house. Amazing job. Money well spent!

I don?t often make recommendations. Admittedly I am picky and as an engineer I think I know more than I really do, but it seems that you are lucky these days to get a decent/just OK contractor and that good contractors are nearly impossible to find. I am writing this review because Greta, Freddy, and their crew are great. I am not saying that they are perfect, but they certainly strive to be and that is what matters. I noticed some gaps in the trim that needed caulking after I had thought everything was complete and had made full payment. I offered to pay for the gaps to be filled in, but Greta was quick to say that it is their job to make everything right and sent out a crew to do just that. I recommend them without hesitation. They are very thorough, patient, and genuinely good people.

Golden Group was a pleasure to deal with and did a fantastic job on our new roof. From the initial meeting with Freddy, where he spent a lot of time answering all of our questions and educating us on all aspects of the job, to all of our subsequent interactions with the company, we felt very comfortable that we were dealing with a very honorable company. We got a very fair price for the job, and the finished roof looks fantastic! We had such a great experience with Golden Group that we have recommended them to several of our friends, and have also hired them to do the roof for our vacation home. We would highly recommend Golden Group to anyone who needs a roof replacement. You will not be disappointed.

My wife and I deliberately vetted many roofers over several months to make sure we were going to get the best quality job for a fair price. Like most people, we asked for referrals from friends, family and colleagues to help us with our search. It was quite an experience. Some would quote a range over the phone, some from their truck in our driveway and most would do the cursory look up at the roof while walking around the yard. Most roofers came to the house in their trucks, although some were loaded up for things like hockey practice rather than work. Freddy was the only roofer that showed up in his work truck/van that was loaded with samples of shingles, vents and other material we may need. He was very methodical in his assessment of what needed to be done including taking out his ladder, climbing our roof to inspect and make recommendations. He even took pictures to show some damage to some of the wood from ice dams behind the gutters. In addition, Freddy went into our attic and inspected the supporting wood from inside. Where other roofers did a cursory review of the work-to-be-done, Freddy was extremely thorough and informative during the process. He was also very clear that some things may not be issues when they really get to it, but he wanted to avoid surprises. I took that as very reassuring, since we were warned by many friends that their roofers had done the opposite; ie. The roofer estimated low to get the job but then ?found? additional stuff that ?had? to get done after the roof was exposed. Freddy provided a detailed estimate with potential ?decreases? if certain, potential issues were not as bad as expected; e.g. 3rd layer of shingles to remove, rotted wood, ect. He and his partner Greta were very professional setting expectations of time, delivery of materials and trash bin for debris. Everything went as planned, the crew was very good. They were able to complete the project in one day even with the early sun set. They cleaned up as much as possible that day and then proactively returned the next day to make sure they hadn?t missed any cleanup. And, best of all, Freddy was completely honest and fair regarding the ?potential? extra work. He went above and beyond to not only honor the estimate but pointed out NO extra fees were required since the potential work was not necessary. We would gladly recommend Freddy, Greta and the crew from Golden Group. They were honest, fair and provided quality workmanship. We would happily recommend Golden Group Construction.

I first scheduled with Freddy to come out and see our roof. It had been damaged during the ice and snow storms from February. We listened to him and his recommendations. We agreed on a price and time of install. Later Greta came to our house to fill out the paperwork. Due to weather the install was delayed a few days. But Freddy and his crew were able to do the complete install in one day. They cleaned up everything afterwards. The roof looks great. I will recommend them to friends and family.

We chose Golden Group Construction to replace our roof and skylights because after meeting with the owner, we found him to be very professional and trustworthy. The owner, Freddy Campoverde, came to our house on a Sunday to give us a quote. After introducing himself, Freddy gave us a brief summary of the company's history in the roofing business and provided pictures of several local jobs as well as a list of references. After inspecting the roof, Freddy carefully explained the process for replacing the roof, how long it would take and our options regarding the roof tiles and styles before providing a (competitive and reasonable) quote. I also want to say Freddy paid equal attention to both my wife and me when answering questions, which goes a long way since some tradesman will only deal with men as far as the project is concerned. The roof was installed without any problems. Freddy?s crew were very polite, efficient and very meticulous with the cleanup afterwards and the roof installation was completed on time. Regarding the skylights, there were some scratches on the glass of two skylights that went unnoticed until after the installation, when they were being cleaned by his men. I believe that the scratches on the skylights occurred at the factory where they were made, not by Golden Group during the installation. Nevertheless (and without prompting), Freddy offered to remove and replace both skylights with new skylights and deduct the cost of two skylights from our total cost. My wife and I felt that it was not necessary to discount us two skylights as long as they were willing to replace or fix both skylights, but Freddy was insistent. In the end, the skylights were replaced (within a week) and we compromised on discounting the cost of one skylight. This skylight incident is a clear example of Freddy?s and Golden Group?s professionalism and sincerity and displays a ?getting the job done right? mentality. Overall, we have no reservations in recommending the Golden Group Construction company to our friends and family.

I knew I needed a new roof and contacted Golden Group to ask about their Angie's List promotion. Freddy came to my house to answer all my questions and give me insight into all my options. It was a quick visit, and he did not try to upsell me at all, but was very patient and knowledgeable, and fully answered all my questions. Greta was great about keeping us in the loop with anticipated timing of the roof install. On the day of install, the team arrived around 7am, got right to work, and finished the job in one day. One shingle did fall over the side of the house (where there was no netting to protect the house), and it knocked off a flood light that I have. Freddy pointed it out to me to make sure I saw it before I went to work on the day of install, and he had it replaced before I got home from work. I really appreciated him pointing it out to me so I was aware of it, even though you would never be able to tell that it had happened at the end of the day. These are the kind of honest people that I appreciate doing business with - if only everyone in the industry was as trustworthy!

Golden Contruction crew was very professional in their approach to the job. Before they stripped the roof, they made sure they had my scrubs and deck covered from falling debrie. They had a man constantly removing the removed shingles into the onsite dumpster. Once all the shingles were off the home, they went around the yard with magnets to pick up any nails that fell to the ground . This was not dont once but several times. The crew was very courteous and wiling to answr any question I had. They finished the roof in one day. The following day, they returned for further clean up and rechecked the roof and the areas i wanted rechecked (the sky lights) and a small side roof off the kitchen. I would say that Golden construction went overboard to make sure i was satisfied with the quality of their work. There wasn't antything i asked for that they didnt do. I would highly recommend them to anyone that may be thinking of having roof work done.

Quick phone response along with scheduling the free estimate. Freddy arrived on time, introduced himself and began the inspection for the estimate. He checked the attic and the exterior roof in about 10 minutes explaining what he was looking for and also giving his assessment. After the walk-through we discussed the products, warranty and possible time lines for completion. After this, Freddy provided a detailed written estimate of materials and procedures, along with an actual price estimate. Once we decided to go with Golden Group I notified them and we set up a time for Greta to come and discuss the service contract. She also arrived on time and we discussed the contract. Everything was plainly laid out and well explained and Greta began working on permits. Soon after we scheduled a date. The crew began arriving and once Freddy arrived he again gave me an overview of how the day would go and also informed me he would be around if I had any questions. The crew worked from 0700 until 1830 and then returned for another two hours the following day to finish up. They did an amazing job, cleaned the driveway and yard for scrap, nails and other debris.

After I bought the service from Angie's list, Freddy contacted me very quickly and came to my house to give me an accurate estimate.In the end I also took his advice to replaced the old gutter and chimney flashing. On the working day,the crew came in very early in the morning, but because of the weather, they didn't start until almost 8am. But they did finish everything and cleaned after by 3pm. All in all I am happy with the work and communication with Golden Group Construction Corp. Would recommend to others and would use them again.

They had to be asked to remove an area they left. I asked the supervisor/owner for this and he had one of the boys do it, while the others waited around somewhat impatiently. They also left a berm of snow around our entire house which froze, blocking our front door until May. Was it my fault for not asking them to shovel my front walk before they left? Maybe, but, being inexperienced, it didn't occur to me. As experienced pros they should have anticipated this sizable problem. Nevertheless, if their price is still competitive, I would use them again.

Roofing Review Prior to Friday September 18, 2015 Mary Ann selected two service contractors (Golden Group Construction Corp.; Freddy Campoverde - Operations Manager and On Top Roofing ; Josh Smith - Project Manager) to examine and place a bid to replace the roofing material on our domicile. Both bidders were knowledgeable, professional and personable. The quotes for comparable material and work were within 171.00 dollars of each other. How did we decide which contractor to engage for the project? We selected Golden Group Construction - Freddy Campoverde Operations Manager Not only was Mr. Campoverde's presentation flawless, he provided insurance, certifications obtained by the workers for the products to be installed as well as the standard physical samples. When we were not certain about which products to select he was thorough in his explanations on the differences, warranty options, life of product and return on the investment. Mr. Campoverde did not try to up sell the available products nor did he try to low-bid the work. There was nothing hidden, there were no surprise extra costs. The punch list in the contract was exhaustive. He had his supplier drop off a sample when we were trying to decide on the color. We were allowed to visit three different sites where Golden Group Construction had installed roofs using product styles and colors that were under consideration for our home. We decided to use the CertainTeed TL Max Def Weathered Wood. Throughout the entire project the most noticeable aspect of the process was that meeting our needs, expectations and assuring us that we would be completely satisfied with the results was foremost in the minds of the entire staff. I have walked this earth for over sixty years and can definitively state that experiencing this level of workmanship, care and concern in a contracting situation is exceptional and worthy of merit and mention. The crew member named Fabian was a standout in applying his skill to addressing issues with the siding where the shed-like roofs met the second floor siding walls. Our satisfaction without hesitation or caveat is 100%. We could not be happier with the result and the experience. I contacted Golden Group on Tuesday October 19, 2015 to obtain an estimate for possible hail storm damage to my roof. Freddy Campoverde came out on Wednesday October 20, 2015 in the early evening to give me an estimate. He told me that my roof was fine and that I still had another three to five years left on my roof. He gave me an approximate estimate for a complete roof when I need to have it replaced. Freddy was very professional and I really appreciated his honesty. I will definitely use Golden Group when I need my roof replaced.

Freddy & crew were amazing. They arrived at around 7:45 AM and worked all day - were at the house until 7:00 PM. Did an great job and cleaned up afterwards!! Swept drive and used power blower to pick up everything. Would recommend to others and would use them again.

Golden group was extremely professional and a pleasure to work with from the initial consultation through to the end of the install. Freddy, who owns the business, came to my home to give a quote and focused on the product to be used, the quality of the work, the experience of his crew during the initial meeting. He walked me through every aspect of what they would do, their qualifications, warranty and repairs that would be made as part of the process. He got out on the roof and pointed out potential problem areas and described how they would be addressed. He went into my attic and did the same. He is extremely detailed orientated and happy to answer as many questions as you have (I had a lot.) With Freddy it never felt like a sales pitch, he didn't ask about the other quotes I was getting and what those prices were. He focused instead on the quality of his own work and his reputation as a top notch installer. I was comfortable working with him from the minute I met him and I appreciated his approach and attention to detail. His price was very fair and he was able to schedule the job withing a few weeks on the specific day I requested. Once we agreed to move forward with the job Freddy and Greta (Freddy's wife and co-owner) were in constant communication to schedule the job and to ensure that I had everything I needed from them. They responded nearly instantly to every email I sent and every communication was helpful and professional. The work was done in one day and Freddy's team of roofers was incredible. They worked so hard, fast and efficiently but yet with a keen attention to the finest details. You could tell they took pride in their work. Freddy stayed on the job site the entire time which was very important to me. His crew has all been with him for many years and are not just sub-contractors. They are all certified and work together as a team. Freddy is an experienced roofer himself and oversees everything and explains everything that is happening to the home owner during the process. I would recommend Golden Group without hesitation to anyone looking for a new roof and I thank Freddy and Greta and their entire crew for the outstanding work they did at my home.

Freddy responded to my call and scheduled a time to come to the house within 48 hours. Every other company I called on Angie's List (approx. 5) told me they were too busy to look at a repair and to try back in about 1 month. Freddy arrived on time. He was professional and courteous. He and his partner evaluated the problem and accurately identified the issue in about 5 minutes. It turned out to be related to the glass component of the skylight and had nothing to do with the roof or flashing. He gave me advice on the most cost effective way to proceed. Overall, he was a pleasure to speak with while at my home. If I need a roofing contractor in the future, Freddy will be the first person I contact.

Freddy and Greta were great to deal with. Freddy provided an estimate about 1 month ago that was very complete and detail. Never bugged me , just asked if I had any open questions. Prior to work I did ask for proof of insurance and workman's comp and the information was provided within an hour. Decided to have roof done at mother's house in July about a month later They were very courteous in scheduling an appointment. Workmen showed up and covered up all the landscaping and removed furniture from the deck. Roofing crew was as professional as could be. Got the entire job done in one day, roof looks fantastic. Pricing was very fair. Genuinely cared that all my concerns were addressed and that I was happy. Asked him to look at a gutter that had been overflowing and instead of trying to sell me new gutters, he went out and got some hangers to fix the way it was installed. I would definitely use Golden again if I had another roofing project

As soon as we met Freddy, we knew he was the one for our needs. He was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions without hesitation. Greta came to our house and went into detail of everything they were going to do and all the paperwork. Also answering our questions without hesitation. Our estimated start time for our new roof was between 7:00 and 7:30 am. At 6:45 am, I happen to look outside and there were already workers here. They set up to protect our lawn and bushes from debris. Freddy and the crew (I don't know their names, but would like give credit to them also) were all very professional and right on schedule all day long. They replaced rotted wood, lead lining around the chimney, new bathroom vent, chimney vent, and attic vent, cricket behind chimney, and ridge vent. The price quoted to us was the final price we needed to pay. Nothing more, nothing less. In the words of my Husband, "he is an honest cool dude".
