We could not have been more satisfied with the work that Golden Group performed when installing our roof. From start to finish, Freddy and his team exhibited the utmost level of responsiveness, professionalism, and workmanship throughout our project. Following the harsh winter, we decided to replace our roof and hopefully improve overall ventilation and protection for future weather. Freddy presented the roofing project to us thoroughly, being sure to educate us on current problems with our roofing system, functional improvements needed, materials that would be used, and the installation process itself. We had a few other contractors provide us with estimates, and while Golden Group's wasn't the absolute cheapest, it was very competitive nonetheless. We ultimately decided to hire them because they made us feel the most confident that the project would be done well, done right, and done on-time and within budget. On the day of the job, Freddy and his team arrived promptly and begun stripping shingles immediately. Shortly after starting, they discovered severely rotted woodwork at the eaves/overhang on one side of our roof. Freddy brought me up there to see the damage in person, and also pointed out that there was no ventilation into the attic (which is likely what accelerated the rotting). Together we worked out the best solution, and he ended up rebuilding the entire overhang, with proper ventilation into the attic, for a very reasonable cost. Overall, we were very happy with the finished roof, and despite encountering the delay to rebuild the overhang, the team still finished in just over one day, and the quality of workmanship is still evident. We have already highly recommended Golden Group to a few people, and will continue to do so for anyone needing a new roof.

Freddy and his inspector arrived on time, inspected the roof and rectified the home inspectors finding. They inspected the roof and later Greta informed me that we will give you a credit because Fabian and Freddy found that only one area around chimney needed work, and the package includes were not needed because the roof was OK. Greta responds immediately to email communication and schedules all the details. I would recommend them and use their services in future.

They are very professional, family company. You can trust them from start to end. They are very good at communicating, dealing with special requests, very knowledgable, friendly and helpful. I suggest everyone who is looking for roof work, especially if they want hassle free job, no headaches... Arrived on time with a good-sized crew. The day was windier than expected but they kept flying trash/debris to a minimum. While stripping the roof they discovered that the plywood was sheeting off in thin strips with the shingles and also that it was not the correct thickness per code. They removed all the plywood over the house, repaired sections over the garage and breezeway, installed a ridge vent which I hadn't had before. The main roof steps down over the porch and they removed all the siding from that wall and ran ice/water shield up the side and installed step flashing there too. Installed ice/water shield higher than the required code. Brought in more crew members to complete the job in one day despite the additional work that was required. Cleaned up nicely. It was early spring and the yard was a bit muddy in places, but they did a good job not tearing it up too much. All the neighbors commented how nice the job looked and how professional the crew was. The crew worked well together and were respectful. Freddy was on-site to supervise the job and expressed concern frequently to make sure that I was happy with how the job was going. I received the paperwork for the warranty in the mail a few days after the job was completed. Greta responds immediately to email communication and schedules all the details. They have been flexible with payment as well. I have already recommended them and had an acquaintance book with them and would recommend them again.

This whole transaction was a pleasure. I invited Golden Group over to give me an estimate on a new roof. Freddy looked at it and explained to me why I really did not need to do that, that I could achieve what I wanted with some touching up. He also let me know there was a promotion for the tune up on Angie's List. The work was done great, folks were on time, and I would definitely recommend.

Freddy Compoverde from Golden Group Construction Corp provided us with exceptional product knowledge and service on installing our roof. He listened to all our concerns / roofing problems and addressed every one of them. He met with us twice before the actual installation. The first time was to listen to our needs, recommend a product, review the materials and installation process with us. He then provided us with a written quote within 2 days. We go multiple bids and Freddy by far provided the most information, responded to all our questions in a timely manner, and was easy to work with and reasonably priced. Once we accepted his bid, he met with us again to have us select our shingle color and finalize the contract. He did what he said he would do, on time and in budget. His crew was also polite, efficient and did great clean-up. While the crew was working on the roof, we were chatting with Freddie we mentioned that we needed some siding fixed - a couple pieces of siding were damaged by ice that fell this past winter. He drove 45 minutes to get materials and replaced the damaged sided all before the crew finished with the roof that day. We had not expected that and are very impressed with Freddie and his company. Once again, we highly recommend to anyone that you trust Freddie to do a great job at a fair price.

It went great. My husband purchased the deal. We spent additional money for the ice dam removal. he said the staff was really great and they left the area great as well. They were very professional and very quick.

Arrived as promised. Did find a couple of pieces of roof in my front garden as snow melted. Otherwise all was well.

Contractors performing this service were fully booked this winter. We were lucky to get someone to come out. Once the schedule opened up a little for them communication about date, time, services and cost were all very clear. They were very careful and professional. Part of our roof is a rubber roof, which I was concerned about as well, but they were treated that area very carefully as well and we did not have any problems. As far as price, I think it was a little steep, but given the winter we had and the demand that generated, I believe the price we paid was competitive with other providers - who were unavailable anyway. Not really a large price to pay relative to potential damage to the house had we not been able to clear the snow. Ice dams were not cleared due to proximity to windows and potential for chopping to cause damage, but getting rid of the snow kept the ice dams from getting worse. I would definitely use this company again.

The crew was great. They checked in, asked where the issues were and climbed up and immediately started clearing the roof of the 3+ feet of snow we'd gotten. They showed up when they said they would, offered multiple payment options and were responsive to e-mail and phone. Notably, they were one of the only companies in the area to respond to a voicemail and be available in a reasonable period of time.

Got few quotes from various contractors like any Homeowner would. I went with Golden in the end as they were priced right and they were not cheap either but I was convinced that they could the job well and I wanted to give them a opportunity. The crew came couple of days after we signed the contract to clean the snow off my roof as it had started to leak from the soffits due to ice dams. Freddy and Greta were very responsive, took care of everything they promised. We scheduled installation date based on a day when it was above 32 degrees and dry. They came in around 8 AM, finished the job as promised around 2-3pm. Both Freddy and Gretta were at the job to coordinate the crew/tasks. They did good job. I will definitely recommend these folks, be clear upfront, they will deliver as promised.

The Project Manager answered my email within the hour and it was past business hours. I had a list of questions and she answered every one of the questions to my satisfaction. She provided proof of insurance and gave me a scheduled time which they arrived for. There was a crew of several men who not only cleared the roof, but cleaned up snow that fell on my deck, driveway and walkways. Very professional and prompt. Communication was excellent.

We were lucky to get on the schedule. Overpriced given the demand this winter but a worthwhile expense given the potential for damage to the house.

In spite of the fact that it seemed 80% of the houses in the area were plagued by ice dams, and they had their hands full with all the demands being put on them, Freddy and Greta were very quick to respond to my requests and questions, both via the Angie's List site and by phone. We had water coming into the house almost too fast to keep up with it, so we were thrilled that they were able to make it to our house within just a few days. Freddy came out on Monday evening to spec out what needed to be done, and Greta and the crew came out on Tuesday morning. I was amazed at how fast the guys worked to shovel off the tons of snow, and then to cut out the channels in the ice wherever necessary. Greta stayed onsite the entire time, making sure everything was being done to her high standards, and she spent a lot of time with me, talking about what might be happening with the roof, and what we might need to do with it, once this ridiculous winter was over. She was very understanding of our circumstances and was happy to work with the insurance company in any way she could to make the repairs as manageable as possible for us. And the fact that both she and Freddy are really nice, friendly and funny people made the whole situation a lot easier to take! I will definitely call them for whatever future work needs to be completed on our roof. They were a pleasure to deal with at every level.

They responded pretty quickly and came to my house the next day. They finished the job in two hours. I spoke with them on the phone late one afternoon and they came the next morning to do the service. It was pretty quick. They gave me an estimated price on the phone. I think they give pretty good service and the job they did was pretty good. I would recommend them. Their price was acceptable for me.

We were very pleased with Golden Group and with their owner. They responded to our call quickly and came the next day. There were nine people in all and they were extremely professional wasting no time getting to work and getting the weight off of our roof. We were impressed with the knowledge of Freddie, the owner, who obviously knew the roofing business backwards and forwards and would feel comfortable using them again or referring them to others.

I was very anxious about a number of ice dams and areas of heavy snow on our roof. We were starting to experience some leaks and we wanted to attend to them right away. I knew it would be difficult to get someone out to do the work, and I assumed we would be in a long queue. I put out about six or seven requests on Angie's List and heard from three or four companies right away. Golden was the only one able to see us immediately, and they offered an appointment on the same day they called. I rearranged my schedule to meet them at the time they specified. They were delayed, but Greta in the office kept in contact with me by text and they arrived exactly when she said they would. Freddy brought a crew of six or seven men, examined the roof with me, and discussed the pricing. He proposed what I thought were very fair prices for removing a lot of snow and dealing with numerous ice dams (we had snow removed earlier in the season) and once we agreed, he and his men got to work immediately. The roof looked great when they finished, and I will call them again if we need roofing work in the future.

Based on reviews we decided to hire them. We sent a message late in the evening via Angie's list and they responded very early the next morning. They confirmed a day to come later in the week and they showed up when they said they would (even during a busy snow season when our friends were reporting contractors not showing up to do their roofs). The woman who came to the door was very friendly and told me what the process was the whole way through. She was outside supervising the job the entire time the team worked on the roof. Wow, it was cold out! But that just shows how they value quality work and safety. The workers were very diligent and were efficient. They did not mess around. They were a life saver! What a relief to see all that water pouring off our roof! We wouldn't have been able to do that on our own for sure. Would definitely recommend them and would use them again without hesitation!

I came home from work to water damage and immediately began reaching out to service providers. Within 5 minutes I had a response from Golden saying they could be there at 7am the next morning - about 12 hours later! I was stunned because I had heard about others waiting days to get help from other companies. After communicating they would be a little later than planned due to a wind chill warning, they arrived, explained what they would do, then took care of the job. I was even surprised when Great showed up at my door shortly after the crew had left - she was just checking in that everything went OK. Good experience, would hire again.

This has been crazy winter of 2015. We have a two story colonial & couldn't reach the roof ourselves. Reached out over weekend & was told first available window was following Thursday. I was originally given a different time window, but, was alerted first thing in morning that it would be later in day. The crew arrived later in day, but, completed the removal within 1 hour of arrival. The roof was larger than the original price point for up to 2,000 square feet, but additional amount was reasonable. Freddy was very courteous.

I could not have been more satisfied. I sent them a schedule request via Angie's List about 2 PM on 17 February and received a phone call from Greta about 9 AM on 19 February to schedule the work. The work was schedule for the afternoon of 19 February. They crew arrived in the afternoon and went right to work clearing the house [a Colonial 2-stories high in front and 3-stories high in back] of an enormous amount of snow and ice dams. The crew was extremely professional and asked all the right questions [i.e., were there any skylights, where could they put the snow and ice, etc.] Safety was a concern and the crew on the roof were tethered as they went about their work. After the snow and ice were removed from the roofs, they cleared the snow and ice from the walkways, stairs, and driveway, including the path to the propane tank and oil tank fill area. The team was extremely courteous and professional.

I called Angie's List to get a refund because of the additional costs of $400.00 - $500.00, that would be involved. They were polite and professional.

With the ridiculous amount of snow we have been having our roof was piled high, and we had enormous icicles hanging from the rafters. These guys did a great job clearing it all. It was amazing to watch them work. Also amazing was that they took the time to explain how ice dams develop, and what steps we can take to avoid it getting this bad going forward. I was particularly impressed with the clean up after the snow was removed. In fact - they left it better than it was when they arrived :)

We found a water leak on the evening of the Feb 5th in the kitchen. I contacted Golden Group right away through Angie's list and they were able to come on the afternoon of the 6th. Our problem not being related to the snow on the roof the provider was reluctant in charging us for the roof cleaning, which was very nice of him. He was very responsive and professional so I would highly recommend this company. I will definitely work with this company again, probably to remove some of the gutters to prevent ice dams next year.
