Dave was great to work with. He communicated really well (via email and phone) throughout the process, and explained everything thoroughly so we felt like we knew what was going on and what needed to be prioritized.

Overall experience was excellent. We talked to him by phone as he was highly recommended on Angie's list. He explained everything and brought the parts he needed when he arrived. He arrived on time and worked hard all the time he was here. He cleaned up well and we would use him again.

We called two names through neighbor referrals, but never received a call back. Then we looked to Angie's List, saw Dave's excellent ratings, and put a call into him. He called us back the same day, and explained that he would be willing to come to our home to look at our attic for K & T wiring, but he would have to charge his basic rate for a 2 hour job, which was $125. That seems fair to us since he would still have to drive to our place and take time out of his schedule for a visual review. Dave was able to schedule us within 2 weeks time. He arrived when he said he would, he was extremely personable and knowledgeable, and really showed an interest in doing a thorough job. (I'm sure there are a number of electricians who would poke their head up in the attic and then sign off on the papers to be done with a small job. But not David.) He thoroughly examined our attic, looked at the fuses in the basement, checked out all the ceiling fixtures on the second floor, etc. He spent the full two hours, if not more, thoroughly combing through our house for any K&T.

It was wonderful. It worked out very well. It was an excellent experience.

The job went very well. Dave Hanley, the owner, was very professional, responsive, prompt, and provided great customer service. He also emailed me after the job was completed to check-in to see if everything was okay and if the installations were working properly. I will use this company again for other electrical work.

David Hanley is very good. He is top rate and terrific. We have a new house and he has been doing a lot of things for us recently. We've spent about $5,000 with him. We've never had a bad experience with him. He was prompt and had all the equipment. He knew exactly what to do. We discussed it briefly and he made good suggestions. He did it timely and neatly. His prices were really competitive. We?ve always had good experiences with him. We would use him again like a shot.

Dave Hanley was a pleasure to work with. He came and saw what we planned to do, gave us an accurate quote of how long he thought it would be, and stuck with that quote even though he may have spent longer on the project all together. We paid for the materials separately (lighting fixtures/new outlets). He often works with Bauman Remodeling (who were building the bookcase), so he even helped them out while he waited for them to demolish our old closet so he could set up the wiring for the lights. He then came back a few days after the bookcase was done (it took longer than planned), and finished installing the lights. They really look great. Throughout, Dave was great at communicating with us, and being as flexible as possible to make our scheduling work out. I was really impressed when Dave called to check up and see how things were working a few days after the project was done.

Great! Dave was terrific, and we are having him back for more work soon. He was very willing to help us understand the work, and I'd recommend him to anyone looking for quality work at a very fair price.

Dave Hanley did a fantastic job for us. He fixed several outlets that had gone dead due to shoddy work by other contractors. However, the main job I had was to get a 1.5 old LG Dryer to work again. The repair techs diagnosed it as an electrical problem and that when Dave's job began, after a couple of visits and replacing several parts he was able to resolve the issue. He was always punctual and kept us well informed of his other commitments so we could coordinate schedules. I would DEFINITELY use him again for any electrical work I have and recommend him highly.

Dave went above and beyond the call of duty to be at the site at short-notice and provided a very thorough inspection which was not only informative but reassuring given his clear expertise. It's important to note that despite being ill earlier in the week, a Nor'easter in the middle of the week, and therefore a completely packed schedule, that Dave made the time and effort to come to do the estimate and inspection. Needless to say we will use his service in the future as he clearly has his customer's best interests in mind.

Dave did all the work outlined above, and a good deal more due to the older condition of our home which we have newly moved in to. All of the work he performed was good quality, he was punctual and responsive, and he clearly takes pride in doing a job well and ensuring that his customers are satisfied with the job he performs. The biggest snafu on our job that he helped to resolve was outside of the electrical realm; the cabinet under which the vented hood was being replaced was in lousy condition based on how it had been installed sometime in the past, so Dave cheerfully took on many additional duties to help us be able to install and use the hood.

Angies List saved the day. My house is 1920 bungelow which substained an electrical fire as a result of frayed lamp cord, Dave is on of the subcontractors who work with Bauman Remolding whose name I got from Angies List. My bedroom was completely gutted out from the fire. Dave was the first contractor on the job. I was very anxious to make sure that the electrical wiring was safe. Dave pays alot of attention to details and worked closely with the city electrical inspector to make sure the work was being done according to code. He is very observent and even pointed out two broken attic joyst to the contractor which were extremely unsafe.He also told me about some poor electrical work, (which I spent alot of money on) where some ceiling lights, and two ceiling fans were improperly installed by a licensed electrician, and could have fallen down. He is extremely professional and takes alot of pride in the quality of his work. His prices were very reasonable considering the amount of work which needed to be done. He even did the electrical work on my new gas central air conditioner and furnance.I highly recommend Dave and would use his services again in the future. I certainly feel that the electrical is now safe in my house as a result of Daves high quality work.

Excellent. Dave was extremely flexible (we asked him to come a half hour later at the last minute and he did) and arrived on time. He was courteous, did an excellent job, and cleaned the space nicely. The final price matched the estimate. We will defiantely work with him again for other electrical issues in our home.

Our house is very old, which means breaching a wall always involves a surprise -- Dave Hanley was not only efficient and always prompt on appointments and work dates -- he was able to come up with many excellent solutions for unforeseen problems. He doesn't just do the job very well -- he thinks about it creatively. Furthermore, on several occasions, he discussed plans of ours and came up with much simpler solutions -- saving us money. All-in-all, we were delighted; we recommend him highly -- and we will certainly use him again.

All went well. Dave is knowledgeable and professional. He is also punctual and courteous - adjusting his schedule to suit your needs. He does fine work and cleans up beautifully. In addition, I felt comfortable having him around whether or not I was home. After living in my home for 15 years, at last I have found a top-notch electrician!

We were looking for an electrician to do minor work on our condo prior to placing it on the market. I joined Angie's List in hopes of finding reputable contractors since we were burned in the past. I contacted several electricians in the area, and only a few got back to me. Dave, on the other hand was the first to respond and was willing to work with our tight schedules. He came in to take a look at the work and provide us with an estimate on the project on Friday and was able to come in the following week. He showed up on time, did the work efficiently and accurately, and even offered to dispose of my old light fixture for me. The job took slightly longer than we had anticipated but he honored his original quote. He is an extremely personable fellow and acted with professionalism and courtesy at all times. I would absolutely use Dave again and would recommend him to anyone!

On a Sunday night my refrigerator just stop working. I thought I blew a circuit breaker, but when I checked, no circuit breakers were tripped. The outlet to the refrigerator appeared to be dead. Another plug next to the refrigerator was also dead. I had just signed up for Angies List so I figured I would test it out. DPH Electric had great reviews that were current and he was close by. I called after work on Monday and Dave was out to our house the next day. Dave is friendly, personable, and a great electrician. I was figuring that he would just replace the plugs & be on his way. Not Dave. He made sure that the dead outlets were dead for a reason and that he knew what the reason was before he left. He made sure that there was no arcing or scorching anywhere in the system. He was thorough, careful, professional and never lost his smile. I felt very safe that the job was getting done correctly. I had to leave my home for a few moments while Dave was working and didn't mind leaving him alone in the house at all. Dave was at my house for over 4 hours and I feel went above and beyond what he had to do. His price was not only fair, but lower than I expected for the amount of time and work that he put into the job. I highly recommend this electrician. I know I will call him again in a heartbeat if the need arises.

I don't know if many people look forward to catching sight of their electrician coming up the walk, but we do. We were very fortunate to find Dave to help us with some renovations to a room in our 1870s house in JP. I can't say enough good things about the service we got from Dave (but I'll try). He explained our options clearly and offered opinions about what would work best without being pushy. Dave had some great ideas about how to deal with unanticipated problems and, when he had to come back a couple of time because of issues we hadn't forseen, he did so cheerfully. He came when he said he would come, he did what he said he would do, he charged what he said he would charge (and threw a few things in for free). His handiwork looks great. And, he noticed that a ceiling fixture seemed really hot--which made sense later when I investigated and discovered that it contained 2 100 watt bulbs in a fixture designed for 60 watt bulbs (thank you Dave). All that, and he's a really nice guy. I would hire Dave again in a heartbeat--I'm already compiling my list for next time.

This job went extremely well. Dave is a very friendly and talent guy. Not only did he do the job well -- and at a VERY reasonable price - he also noted some potential dangers in our electrical set-up and fixed those. Highest recommendation.
