We have used this company since it was Davey tree. They do annual trimming of 2 large old maples as well as fertilizing, moth treatments and any other necessary work. When we decided we needed more privacy we called H-G and Josh Fritz came right over with suggestions. Our schedule was tight due to a previously-planned trip and the late spring. They fit us in at the optimum time and dug the holes and planted them with minimal damage to the surrounding perennials, despite the small space. When we had a gully-washer storm the following night and found them listing, they came right back and righted them and staked them. Along with being very responsive, their workers are a pleasure to deal with.

Gentleman came to the house as scheduled. It has been over two weeks and no quote was ever submitted. It looks like asking them to quote the work was a waste of my time. Maybe the job was too small for their liking, but if that were the case, they should have told me as we reviewed the job. I would suggest you gauge their interest before going through all the motions of meeting them for a quote. I used another company who got high marks on Angie's List with full satisfaction (cost, responsiveness, etc).

It went great - they called up one day and had some availability and asked if they could come by - I said I need to check with the neighbor as they would need to utilze their driveway to do the work. They said sure thing - just give us a call back if you can't reach them or if its a bad day - but it was ok by them and they arrived at the time expected. They also asked me if I wanted the other growth cleared that has also started - I said sure as long as the price stays the same ;) and they said of course, no problem. They also did a great job cleaning up too - they were working in my neighbors driveway and not a single stick was left behind. Better service than I expected - a rare find indeed.

So he came out for the estimate and never followed up. I did e-mail him and he said he would come back out, and he never did.

They had sent two very inexperienced young men who did a very poor job of trimming the shrubs and we felt we were over charged for the tree replacement

They are due to come in the next two weeks for doing a major trimming because I got a lot of big bushes and trees. The last time they came everything went well and the elm tree is still alive.

He was professional and knowledgeable.

They did 1 take down, 5 pruining and he wired my trees so that one of them wont fall down. It was the same tree and they wired it to itself so that it woudln't break. They deep wood fertilized the surgar maple.

The service was done on time, the day they said it would be. Everything was done professionally. It is a very professional organization.

They were knowledgeable, prompt and answered all my questions. They have great customer relations.

All workers were professional and courteous. They knew what to do and did their jobs well! The lawn looks better than it has in years.

The arborist was very knowledgeable and practical about what I needed. I got a quick response with an estimate and plan. They came when they said they were going to come. I always thought they were going to be more expensive, and they weren't' any more expensive than anyone else's estimates. I am planning on using them again in the future.

The work took a couple of days - therefore the higher price.

I have a contract with them. They are excellent and they really know what they are doing. They have saved a lot of trees and bushes around our house that would have probably died out. Their prices are a little higher than other places but they do a better job, you get what you pay for. When they get done it is like they haven't been here. That is saying something when they spend an entire day cleaning. We had a 50 foot elm tree in back yard and when they were done you didn't see anything left of it. They are always here on time. You can definitely find it for cheaper but you get what you pay for.

I have used this company for multiple years and have found them frustrating, overall, to deal with. They do not respond to phone calls, either, within a reasonable period of time (1-2 days) or sometimes not at all, requiring multiple exasperating callbacks. The staff is not very friendly. They do not always understand the nature of the problem with a tree when , as a botanist by hobby, I may know more than their representative. This is SCARY. They charge a hefty fee although it would be worth it if service was reliable and of a high quality. Some of their field workers are good and friendly as well, others are quite rude. The "arborist" I have dealt with has an insufficient knowledge base and does not return phone calls! Once they sprayed a tree with my car underneath it, and another time they sprayed a tree with a kiddy pool within 15 feet of it. In neither case did they ever ask me to either move the car nor cover the pool! UNACCEPTABLE......and then THEY got upset with ME when I aired my displeasure with them for having done so. Can you believe it? Overall, very dissatisfied since they really could have the means to have done much better. Sorry, won't use them again.

Received same-day call-back and next day appointment. Older gentleman, an hour late, but very courteous, professional, and seemed very knowledgeable. Written proposal provided at end of appointment. The quality, thoroughness, and additional work (such as adding loam and seed, after grinding stump) to be provided sounded better than other quotes, but price was almost double the lowest of the bids I received so did not choose since budget very tight.

They were prompt and courteous, but their price was too high. We didn't hire them for the job.

They stuck to their estimate. They came fairly soon. They gave me a date when they could do the work. Some of other people that I called gave me a date when they could do the work but were very honest about saying that they couldn’t do it for several months because there was so much. This company came on the day they said. They did a good job and they cleaned up. It was neat. I would definitely call them again. Their price was very consistent. They did respond back.

Their quote was $650 and it was to leave all the wood instead of removing. I had asked them to quote me on that price. I never went back to him to ask what it would be if he took all the wood. He possibly could have been a little bit less expensive. I would consider them for another quote in the future.

They are prompt and seem knowledgeable. They explain what they are going to do and answer questions well. I will use them again in the future.

They were on time. They were very prompt. They called on the day that they couldn't make it out to let me know. I would recommend them.

They look fantastic and are ready for the snowy season to come. Impressed with ability to schedule quickly, attention to detail and follow through. We will use again!

They did a very good job and made some good suggestions, and the results are looking good. I would use them again in the future if necessary.
