Description of Work: they connected the fire alarms for a 3 unit building . each apartment , and then interconnected the hallways and basement so that if 1 alarm went off they all went off . It worked out well - 3 days work !

Description of Work: Mike and his assistant were extremely professional,friendly, excellent timely contact. They did a top notch job replacing two ceiling lights in a hallway and foyer, putting in wall switches for both (originally pull string lights in a condo in a 1906 building). Did a great job cleaning up afterwards. Friendly and attentive interactions when I called the Gibbons office as well. Gibbons truly deserves those top ratings!

Description of Work: They put in additional, more robust boxes in the basement, wired large ceiling fans in several rooms, fixed and added ceiling lamps in several hallways, and put in baseboard heat in the kitchen.

Description of Work: Replaced firealarms in six apartments. Also fixed laundryroom lighting. Not big jobs, but well done.

Description of Work: Removed old range hood and installed new light fixture in it's place. Asked good questions to help clarify where I wanted the fixture to go exactly. Removed old thermostat, installed new one on other side of wall (punched through to other room). Took a little longer than expected because he was new to Nest thermostat (as was I). Checked an outlet and fixture that was working erratically. Unfortunately, the fixture is again acting erratically. Patched walls and cleaned up reasonably well. (One person did fantastic clean up; the other was just ok.)

Description of Work: We were going away for a short time and realized that the heat in one of our rooms would not turn off. Of course, it was a Saturday. Gibbons was the only electrician we called who responded. My husband spoke to Steve and he was the only company willing to send someone today. Fortunately, the heat shut off itself. We really appreciated that. When we return we will definitely call Gibbons to correct the problem. When we return, we will definitely call Gibbons to repair , what we think, is a faulty thermostat. Steve was very pleasant.

Description of Work: Changed a shorted thermostat wire. Snaked new wire from basement to 2nd floor. Had 2 workers to do the job. Don't know exactly the effectiveness of the 2nd worker

Description of Work: We used Gibbons to install two electric heaters in our upstairs bedrooms, as well as to add additional outlets to one of the rooms. We didn't think this was going to be that complicated, but two additional electricians confirmed the difficulty of running new lines up from our basement circuit breaker. Gibbons was by far the most professional and courteous of all the electricians we contacted, and they did a great job.

Description of Work: Gibbons removed all of the knob and tub wiring in our home. When they first came to the house to do the estimate, the guys were wearing booties, so they wouldn't dirty our home. They had us at booties. Their proposal was extremely detailed. We knew exactly what they were going to do. Once the work was started, they were timely, professional, clean and gave us a credit at the end as they had overestimated the work. We had a minor punch list item which they followed up on immediately. We would absolutely use them again and would highly recommend them. They were a little pricey compared to the other prices we received, but we do believe you get what you pay for and that was certainly the case here.
