They were so good. When they came out to do the job it was during the winter, so it was muddy outside. When they came in the house, they put socks over their boots so they would not mess up our floors. I really appreciated them doing that. I also thought the price was very good for the amount of work they did, but I do not remember the exact price we paid.

They were right on time and very courteous. The first thing they did was put booties on to protect our hardwood floors. The two gentlemen got right to work and finished with the GFCI outlets in minutes. While I had them there I asked them to tighten up some outlets and install a dimmer. They did it all without any problems, were very fast and efficient. After tightening one outlet one of them asked for a broom and dustpan to pick up the little bit of plaster dust they had created on the floor. They cleaned up after their work and were gone in an hour. I would definitely recommend them and/or hire them again.

They did a nice job overall. After the electrician removed the old wall sconces, he moved to the other tasks on the job so I could patch the plaster before the new sconces were installed. I appreciated that flexibility.

They were polite and timely and the lights look great.

Originally job was to be done by drilling through the rock foundation of the house. Workers forgot the drill, so ended up drilling though window sill and frame instead. Overall, we were happy with the job. Worker actually bent the conduit on the outside of the house to curve along the rock foundation. Nice idea. Liked getting the estimate during the initial visit from Mr. McGurk. Also liked getting the work done so soon after we accepted the estimate. Will call this company again.

Found them through Angie's List. Used them for small chore, liked that experience. Their technician suggested I update my overloaded service panel (30 years Old). Jack McGurk estimated the project and dispatched a crew to my house in 72 hours. Crew worked expeditiously; were friendly; professional. And the panel seems to work!

Jack, the estimator, never showed up for our appointment at 12:30 pm on 3/12. No show, no call, no nothing.

The estimator and workman were very professional. They day they scheduled the work they came and cleaned up after themselves. The only thing they underestimated they was a specific splitter for cable and the cable man said it needed to be upgraded. Gibbons came back right away to upgrade it.

Jack McGurk came out promptly and on time to look over the job and provide an estimate at no charge. He was professional and friendly and understood our needs. Our primary goal was to eliminate all knob and tube wiring and make sure all wiring was modern and grounded and all outlets could accept a 3-prong plug. Martin and the guys who came out to do the work were terrific! They cleaned up after themselves well, didn't leave a mess, were mindful of our 2 cats. We were very happy with the work and will be scheduling them later this spring to update the wiring in the downstairs unit! I should note that several of the existing outlets were just fine and did not need to be worked on, so the $4,000 cost was for all the work they did but not EVERY single outlet needed upgrading since some had been installed in recent years.

Amazing. Phone service was very courteous and professional, as was the electrician who did the work. Prompt too. He was meticulous about keeping our house clean while he worked. Also gave me suggestions as to where the lights would work best in the room. I couldn't tell at all that the lights were added after the room had been painted-he was very neat in his work, measured and aligned their placement very carefully.

The two workers arrived promptly, covered the workspace, and wore protective shoe coverings. They were both professional and courteous and the work was completed in the estimated time. They left the two rooms that they were working in as clean as they found them even after having to drill holes in the ceiling and wall (they patched the holes). I am extremely pleased with the quality of the work.

Effortlessly. Extremely coordinated and professional company. I liked the hierarchical approach: first a good, responsive (and always available) front desk person, second came the "lead estimator", who took his time in listening to what I wanted and emailed the estimate same day, third was a call from the contracting scheduler, and then a two-man crew performed the work over 1.5 days. No delays, everyone was on time and pleasant. The company owner dropped in the first morning to make sure all was going smoothly. Courteous and professional, all of them. I was impressed by the fact that I could actually work throughout the whole job (I work at home). Two small complaints: there was a $225 tack-on to the estimate for dimmers I thought I had specified in the first place and (perhaps this was my fault for not following closely enough), a hall light was installed a few inches from where I wanted it to be.

I was most impressed when the electrician opened the door of our new condo, saw the new hardwood bamboo floors and put on cloth boots over his shoes. This told me that I hired the right person for the job.

I left a message with a summary of what I wanted done. They called me back promptly and scheduled a time to come out and look it over so they could give me an estimate. They emailed an estimate which was much lower than some of the estimates that I got from other contractors. I waited a while before calling them to schedule the work because I was waiting for estimates to come back from a couple of other contractors (one of them I never heard back from). When I called to schedule, they were able to fit me in the next week or so. They estimated that the job would take 2 days. It ended up taking a little longer than that because of some unforeseen messes in the existing wiring. Overall, they did a very neat job and were very considerate. They cleaned up at the end of each day. The inspector came a few days after they completed and had no problems with their work. Overall, I was very pleased with the work.

The work was all completed to my satisfaction and completed in less than 5 hours. Their prices are slightly high but the estimate was detailed. Their service was professional. They returned phone calls in a reasonable time and left the place as clean as they found it. One unresolved issue. We realized two days later our door buzzer stopped working after they pulled out the panel to assess dropping a line. I am waiting for a return visit.

We couldn't be happier with the work that Dave and his crew performed. They were extremely courteous and professional. Dave called me every day to give me a status report of what work they performed on that particular day. Even though the work was messy, since they had to make notches in the plaster, they cleaned very thoroughly. The number of notches in the walls was very minimal. They stayed very close to the original estimate. We received a few credits against the estimate, when they discovered some outlets were already rewired recently in the bedrooms. As far as the estimate, Jack returned my call promptly and came out to do the estimate, within a couple of days of the initial phone call. I initially wanted to upgrade the service from 100A to 200A. However, he talked me out of it, since we have a gas water heater, gas stove/oven, no central air, oil heat, thus we wouldn't make use of the 200 amps. This saved us money, so I was happy with that.

The bulb burned out. I couldn't unscrew the failed bulb. I had to replace the fixture. I checked Angie's. I picked Gibbons. They have a good rating and are located in my town. I called, and they told me to buy a fixture. I had 2 identical units (1 upstairs; 1 down). I decided to replace both. I bought 2. I made an appt. with Gibbons for the next business day. 2 men arrived when promised. They were clean and pleasant. One worked upstairs, the other down. Work was done in 20 minutes. I have no problems so far. I never was able to extract the failed bulb from the old fixture. It seemed to have welded itself in.

We were very happy with the work and service. Gibbons was quick to come out for an estimate. Within a day delivered a detailed estimate to us. Followed up with us after a few weeks to see if they could help/provide more information. Quickly scheduled a time and arrived promptly on the date scheduled and cleaned up/patched up nicely. I was also VERY happy that as they worked they provided a status of what they were doing and let us know when less work was necessary based on further examination. They also were happy to do an add-on job and gave me an estimate of the work before doing it.

Everything went very well. The estimator came promptly after I called, and the estimate was correct and fair. The office staff is very professional with scheduling work, making clear what I needed to provide vs. what they would provide, and taking payment. The electricians arrived on time at the time scheduled, were courteous, explained all of the work they were doing, listened to me, did not break anything, and cleaned up after themselves. I later realized a dimmer switch that had worked was no longer functioning. I called, and they sent someone out the next day to fix it. It took 5 minutes. I would call this company again because I appreciate working with professionals, and I think the price was reasonable.

Company was responsive and prompt, returned calls/emails immediately, and was right on time both to provide the estimate and do the work. This is a rental property and they were very accommodating about completing the work without my needing to be present, dealing with keys and lock-up, and then dealing with my tenant about the additional repairs to outlets and light fixture. Although I had established a relatively high limit of cost authorized for the repair work, they did not take advantage- and billed only a lesser amount when there was no need to fish wire to do the grounding. Excellent experience overall.

My experience was exceptionally good. They responded to my inquiring phone call within 6 working hours. The survey visit of the work requested was made within 2 days of my call and they arrived on time. I received the finished quote by e-mail that same evening. The work was performed within two weeks of my accepting the quote. The craftmanship was extremely good. They were incredibly courteous and respectful of our home. I feel I received excellent value for the price. I wish all workmen performed like this. I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to hire them again.

Jack came out quickly to give an estimate on a pretty substantial amount of work, some of which involved cleaning up after a previous electrician, who had quit. He returned my call and came out promptly. The estimate was sent to me a little over a week later (though he had said he would have it in a couple of days). He was professional and courteous; however I went with a company with a lower estimate.

They are very polite. They clean things up. They are pretty good.

The workers arrived on time, but took considerably longer to perform the work than estimated. I spoke to Jack about this and he was extremely responsive and fair. I will definitely hire them again.
