The work was very difficult to perform as they had to fish a line for the bedroom. It was also difficult to do a cable connection for the office as there was no foundation under the office addition. After completion Floyd made sure the TVs were picking up all the digital channels.

They were very thorough with their estimation process. They were up front about the possibility of finding more work that needed to be done (our goal was to completely eliminate knob and tube from the house). They came in on target on their estimation - 2 guys, 3 days of work, very nice guys, very clean and thorough work. I'd definitely hire them again.

Each time they have come out when they said they were going to come. They arrange at our convenience. They always wear protective shoe covers. They explain issues well. They clean up after themselves extremely thoroughly. Their work is neat and professional. All of the work crew that we have met have been polite and professional. We couldn't be happier with them. Most of the works we do now is time and materials rather than estimates but when they did the estimate on the first job, it came in right on. They are a little bit more expensive than some other places but the quality, workmanship, reliability and professionalism is worth a little extra money.

They were very interested in my problem. The two guys that they sent over were very business-like and pleasant. They went right to work and didn't have any major problems. They are efficient and the price was good for what they had to do. When I called them, the person I spoke to was very helpful. I would definitely use them again.

It was a very good experience. Jack came when he said he would to give me an estimate. He saved me some money by suggesting replacing the breaker box as opposed to a total upgrade. The crew showed up on time both days, were polite and professional, and did very good work. When I had trouble with the motion sensor light ( it went on every time a car drove down the street) they came out the day after I called and fixed it.

They were able to fix my doorbell. I was concerned because the neighbor s doorbell upstairs did not ring either. I told the electricians this and they did not seem to care. They could have been more professional.

Excellently. I called in the morning and they had a crew available to do the work the same afternoon. The crew called to ask if they could come fifteen minutes earlier than scheduled and I said yes. They performed the work professionally and with minimal mess. They cleaned up after themselves.

They did a great job with the estimating(on site and thorough)one day and then the electrician was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. All work was done with care and was completed in the time alloted.

Great service and very helpful staff. Everyone from the estimator to the guys that did the work were very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. When they came out to perform the work, the electrician took the time to explain everything and show us the existing wiring in our attic to explain what and why he needed to replace some of the wiring to bring it up to code. They was also open to us purchasing the fixtures directly to save cost.

Round 1 was getting the estimate. I was under some time pressure, as I needed these repairs done before I could get a new roof put on, and the roof had developed a nasty habit of losing shingles during windstorms. Before any trucks rolled, a knowledgeable person (their estimator) talked to me on the phone about the basic outline of what I needed done. They sent a 2-person team to me for the initial reconnaissance 2 days after my first call. This team arrived about an hour before the appointment time, and spent the necessary time (about three hours I think) in the attic and basement and elsewhere to map out the existing wiring. They took this info back to the office, which emailed a detailed free estimate to me that day. I talked with the estimator the same day and gave the go-ahead. They gave me an appointment for two days out, predicting it would be 1.5 to 2 days' work, which would get it done by Wednesday before Thanksgiving. For Round 2, a team of two arrived as scheduled on each of the two days and worked effectively, finishing the estimated work and also some additional outlets that I requested during the course of the work. The additional requests were taken care of as a formal "Change Order" that was billed later and the costs there were in line with the costing on the original estimated work. For example, "install and wire 1 duplex outlet" cost the same on the original estimate and on the Change Order. The team worked about two hours past normal quitting time on Wednesday to get the job wrapped up before the Thanksgiving holiday. The team was led by the same guy each time, with two different assistants on the three visits. Communicating with the office worked well, especially because they were email-enabled. They were busy, but organized. They promptly provided the necessary letter of knob and tube removal to my insulation installer, avoiding any delay in the installation of my insulation.

Very good service. They came out in a snowstorm, were very professional and courteous. They worked the entire time and did not waste any time. I was a little put off by the final bill of $300, when they charge $140 per hour, and they were only here 1.3 hours (the materials were just a few basic wires). But they walked me through the bill and my wife told me its fairly standard for electricians to charge for the full hours, even if they do just part. Anyway, they guys were very nice and I never felt cheated or anything. They did a nice job and were extremely nice and professional, so I would not hesitate to call them again (and will).

Overall, it went well. I called them after a roof leak flooded a fixture (and it and boiling water fell down on me). Their responsiveness was amazing.. They had someone there within an hour who disconnected the electricity and told me that we had to wait a few days to see if it dried out so that they could hook up a new fixture. We talked about getting a standard 2 bulb fixture that could take regular light bulbs. When they came back.. a different guy this time, the fixture he had was a fluorescent one... which would have entailed getting special bulbs. I wasn't happy but thought I might be able to live with it. However, after a few days I decided I couldn't. They were again responsive and offered to replace the fixture with the 2 bulb kind I had wanted. Well the guy (a third one) came today...and the fixture is a one bulb fixture...... So my biggest complaint with the service has to do with this miscommunication or lack of communication.. but all three guys who came were friendly and professional. I would use these folks again with no problem.

Jack was highly professional and knowledgeable in providing an estimate. Adam and his crew were very professional and responsive and did good work. There were a few items that were slightly confusing in the estimate and the final bill, but those issues were explained or addressed appropriately. There was some repair patching that I ended up needing to do at the end(such as from one drill hole that accidentally went through the exterior siding)that was also deducted from the final price. I had some concerns about the layouts of a few of the circuits after the rewiring of the panel, but Adam came out promptly and addressed those issues. I will use them again for future electrical work.

It went very well. They explained the price ($140/hour) in advance. They arranged an appointment fairly soon. They came when they said they would (well, they were 10 minutes late because of a confusion about the address). They were fast and professional, and explained why the fan had probably come loose, and what to look for in the other ceiling fans. Then they gave us complimentary coffee mugs.

It all went without a hitch. The electrician (named Ha) was very tidy: he put on shoe coverings as soon as he entered our house; he used dropcloths around all his work areas. He didn't leave a trace behind. (In my experience, this is unusual -- too often, electricians seem to be unconcerned with cleaning up after themselves.)

Great work!!! This was the first contractor I found on Angie's and they were great! I chose them because they are close to my home, but I have seen their trucks all over the Greater Boston area. They did very good work delivered right on time. We had to call them back to fix one minor mistake (that caused the fuse to blow), but they came back quickly and without complaint to repair it.

They are extremely punctual and clean. They communicated any changes to budget (based on our requests) before they did the work. And they finished the job on time. We left them in the house while we were at work and I felt very comfortable. They need to move a bookcase to get to one wall switch and they scratched our wood floor in the process. It was probably our responsibility to remove the books and move the case but I would have rather they told us that then to scratch the floor. The only reason I give them a B for price is because their pricing is rather high.

They were very good for a small job but they were very overpriced for a big. They were very professional. I would recommend them if you have the money.

Stephen McAllister was a real life-saver. I had had 3 GE service calls on a brand-new electric dryer that had been cutting out mid-cycle ever since delivery. The GE technicians were saying the problem was in the house wiring (which had worked fine for 12 years with previous dryer). In desperation, I got Gibbons' name off Angie's List and called them. Stephen came out right away, checked the dryer, wall receptacle and service panel (circuit breakers), produced a written statement that the wiring was OK. With that, I was finally able to get GE to install a new control unit in the dryer, which now works fine.

From the scheduling, to the estimate, to the actual work and billing, the staff is exceptionally professional and punctual. Excellent work and nice people.

Everything I read about them was true - they are careful, professional and immaculate. Did I spend more than I would have with another vendor? Yes, probably. Do I care? Not at all - I would not want to spend less if I got lower service quality. They're worth the money. They arrived right on the dot (5 minutes early, but sat in their van until the scheduled time, actually). They finished the job in 1 day despite the estimate saying they'd need 1.5. They don't step in without putting on their booties (the estimator, the two service men and their foreman who came to check on them all did this). They asked about where they could safely put their tools and wouldn't put anything down or walk around without first checking with me. They also checked with me about decisions they needed to make on the fly and gave really complete and balanced info so I could make a decision I'd be happy about (all about where to cut the lights in). They are really friendly and courteous. They also vacuumed up after themselves in addition to using drop cloths extensively. Nice guys. Good work. Reliable and respectable.
