Stephen who came to estimate the work was very patient, wrote down all the wiring we possibly wanted to do. We got estimate in the mail soon afterword. We decided to do only part of the work, which was not a problem at all. On the scheduled day two electricians came on time, were very courteous and neat. They did all the work, took them a bit longer than they thought. The wall patching they did was pretty rough, but they warned about it in advance.

WOW! These folks are awesome. I selected these guys based on reading about them on Angie's List where they have gotten wonderful reviews. I will say, all those favorable reviews are well deserved based on my experience today. When I set up the appointment with Steve he told me I'd get a call before the crew started over, and OMG, I did get a call. They showed up when they said they would, and as they came in the front door Dave and Ernest slipped on protective booties over their shoes before they went any where inside. We then went to the room where the problem fan is located, and, they brought their own drop cloth to cover the area where they were about to work. Dave and Ernest were professional, efficient, and friendly. They quickly solved half of the problem, but the light on the fan was not cooperating. Dave explained the situation, the options, and the what they had tried. When they said they could find no reason that the light would not work they offered to call the fan manufacturer's Tech Support team. Within a few minutes the Tech Support team decided it was a faulty board and promised to send a replacement (under warranty). I am sure that the conversation would have gone very differently had I made the initial contact with Tech Support. Dave was able to quickly and professionally explain everything to Tech support, what readings he was getting, etc. and what the problem was. So, they left with as much fixed as they could, and the remaining problem diagnosed, with a solution on its way. And did I mention that they cleaned up everything as they prepared to leave? They did. I thank Dave, Ernest, and the whole team at Gibbons Electric. They are professional, from the initial call to the time they got back in their truck and left. I highly recommend them and will use them again.

From the first call to the end of the visit, they were great - just like the last like time we used them. Gibbons is extremely professional and courteous - not just one or two people there, but the whole staff. I've dealt with a few of them on the phone, and four in person, and they're all the same. They know their stuff, they tell you what's going on, and they do very good, clean work. They are punctual, give you a heads up before arriving, and communicate throughout the work to keep you up to speed with what's happening. In this visit, they came to see why the overhead lights in our garage wouldn't turn on anymore. The technician figured it out within 1 minute - a bad switch. He explained to me why this might happen, and asked if I wanted it replaced (I obviously said yes). He had a switch in his truck, and within 5 minutes, the job was done. He also talked to me about a switch that was taped by the previous owner of our home, and we couldn't tell what it did. It's stumped us and another electrician for a year. He narrowed down the possibilities, talked through them with me, and we figured out it controlled a timer that turned on our outside lights. The timer is in a completely different part of the house, so we never would have put the two things together. Gibbons is not cheap for little things like this, but I found them to be a good value for a bigger project we had them do. I would say $140 is a lot to pay for this service, especially since I could have done it for $10 myself (but I didn't have the time). That said, you get what you pay for - no doubts, courtesy, promptness and fast work, plus they leave things cleaner than they find them. I'd definitely use them again without hesitation.

I cannot overstate the quality and professionalism of the work and the workers. I called for an estimate, a time was arranged for the company representative to come to our house and he arrived exactly on the time and day we had established. I was immediately impressed because as soon as he got in the door he removed his shoes and put on a pair of booties. We went all over the job together, he made some suggestions for additional functionality in a couple of cases and a way to save some cost in another. He sent an estimate a few days later and we set a date a couple of weeks hence for the work to begin. Two workers arrived precisely at the time we had set and after walking through the job, began work immediately. About an hour or so after they started, the president of the company arrived just to make sure there were no issues, that I had not questions and that his workers fully understood what had to be done. Since this is an old (1887) house, it has odd framing, lots of blocking in the walls, unusual double wood and brick headers over most of the doors, lots of existing knob and tube buried wiring, etc., so that fishing wires and sources of electricity to tie into was a challenge and full of surprises at nearly every juncture. Nevertheless, the two workers were able to work around the unusual conditions they found, were meticulous in cleaning up all of the inevitable plaster debris, patched every hole so that they can barely be seen (a little touch up paint will render them invisible) and were pleasant and agreeable throughout. They finished the work in both the time and cost that had been originally estimated. I will undoubtedly use them again in the near future, since, based on the ease and speed with which they did this work, I will look for other electrical improvements that I should have done years ago. I recommend them without hesitation.

Office was very responsive, set up an appointment for one week from time I called. Ha and Floyd were prompt and really careful and considerate. They worked quickly but carefully and consulted me as they went along about options. They gave good advice. Our wiring is complex and they figured it out quickly so that they could fix the problems. It was really nice having them.

Great! Gibbons scheduled the visit at a convenient time for me. They arrived promptly and quickly diagnosed and resolved the problem. I've used them before in other homes and continue to be very satisfied with their level of service.

My tenants would occasionally blow a circuit breaker when both roommates would use their bedroom A/Cs simultaneously. Also, the old light fixture in the kitchen needed replacement. The two man crew showed up five minutes before the arranged time of 7:00AM. Both were very courteous and professional and wore "booties" over their boots to keep my floors clean. It can be very difficult to run wires in an old house, specially to the second floor, but these guys did a phenomenal job with no damage to walls or ceilings. They suggested two separate 20 amp circuits for the bedroom A/Cs and that's what we went with. Overall we were very impressed.

The experience began with a very professional man who came by to do a complete estimate of the job. He was great. Then when I was ready to have the work done, Gibbons was able to start right away. The two technicians were extremely professional and thoughtful and got their work done very efficiently. The job was completed fast and well. Both my husband and I were extremely impressed.

I chose this company due to it's good rating on Angies list and my hopes to get an appointment on a certain day. They called back soon after I left a message and I did get an appointment on the day requested. They called ahead to let me know they would arrive within 30 min (they did) and the job took 1.5 hrs (just as estminated). My only problem was that my fan was not working properly and the electrician felt is was incorrectly pre-programmed at the factory.So they left with the fan only able to circulate hot air. When I called the manufacturer and decribed the problem - they asked if my switch for the fan had a dimmer (which it did). They felt that the electrician should have known that this was the problem. The person who replaced my dimmer switch agreed with the manurfacturer. Once the switch was replaced - the fan worked correctly.
