It went smoothly. Arrived and finished on-time. Did an unexpectedly great job on an outside outlet. I was very happy with the workmanship. They carefully tested everything and gave me advice on some additional work I was considering. Friendly guy, a real pro.

It didn't turn out that well. In their fine print they never said they would charge a travel fee to come to your house, they did. We agreed to install something in that 2 hours, I told them I needed to install 1 additional lighting and he told me it would be another 2 hours. He went out to his truck to find a piece for me, which took him 30 minutes (which was taken out of my time), he didn't end up finding the piece. I paid more than what I would have paid for a regular electrician.

They were prompt, professional and knowledgeable. Very easy to work with, The outlets work great.

It was an easy job with the new outlet put in just a few feet from my basement electrical box and the simple bare bulb light installed between them. I was surprised by the extra $50.00 I was charged for travel and another approximately $50 for supplies. What started out as a coupon for $99.00 for two hours of work doubled. The electrician seemed like a nice guy and I was comfortable to leave him to do his job as I went off to work. However, I suspect he completed it in less than two hours.

All installations went smoothly. Crew was professional and patiently answered questions.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. I wasn't really pleased with the service. I e-mailed them a couple of times and I was waiting to hear back from them. One of the electrical outlets that he installed for me was the wrong one so it keeps getting very hot. The lights don't come on full power. Part of the problem that I had was that it took him 4 hours for the list that I had to do. So I paid an additional amount for that. I was not pleased with the speed that he performed the work at. he did clean up after himself. He did not have the correct outlet for one of the things I wanted him to do. He said that he would get back to me and he never got back to me about that either.

Mike and Nate arrived right on time and completed everything perfectly despite a minor misunderstanding with one item on our list which got resolved very quickly thanks to Victor. I would not hesitate to recommend VMA.

They came and didn't have correct supplies for the fixtures which was fine. but then they never called back. I had to call them after 2 weeks and the next time they came they did not have the correct supplies. I have called numerous times. One item was back ordered. It still hasn't come in and another light has never been replaced. I keep calling and they stilllhaven't responded and the job is unfinished. I'm very disappointed that I got this recommendation from Angies List and it was not a good situation.

All but the installation of the fan went well. On a second visit to correct a problem with the fan controls, the electrician determined that the switch was faulty and would need to be replaced. The overall service, however, was quite good.

Very straightforward and courteous electrician came into our home. He reviewed the 3 issues, he provided a review and cost estimate. we agreed on work and he completed quickly and professionally. We reviewed work and settled up. Overall a very positive experience.

I purchased a Big Deal coupon for VMA Electrical. They were very good. They were very nice and they checked everything. They were very informative, they answered any questions I had. I would definitely use and recommend them again. They sent me an e-mail and said that the deal was about to run out and asked me if I wanted to give it a try which was very nice of them. It was certainly helpful to me. I am totally satisfied. They were very professional and very friendly. I was very comfortable asking them a lot of questions and showing them a lot of different things in my house. They were very thorough.

Victor was great. He arrived on time. Very quickly set to install a recessed light. He was clean and worked very well. I had hired him for 2 hours of electrical work and he finished the install with about 20 minutes left. He voluntarily asked if there was anything else he could do for the last 20 minutes and my husband showed him down to the basement to a light socket that had been giving him trouble. Victor fixed that as well. He was great!

We were very happy with all aspects of their work. We had a long list of electrical concerns and to-do list items, having recently moved into our house, and they efficiently went through the list, diagnosing problems, fixing things that were easy to fix, and explaining to us what would be involved in the bigger jobs.

Went very well - I decided not to have the new overhead light/fan installed due to an interfering ceiling joist, so the original unit was reinstalled. The 2 other projects turned out well, too.

VMA is an extremely well organized company when it comes to scheduling appointments, sending reminders, etc. The technician showed up on time and completed the work to my full satisfaction. My only complaint is that in the Big Deal ad there was no mention of a $55 base fee (they mentioned this only when I called to setup the appointment).

The deal was $99 for 2 hours of electrical work. The technician arrived on time and listened attentively to all my issues before starting. He began by checking out the overhead lights and assurred me that the blinking was not a sign of anything wrong and advised me to purchase a new bulb. He then re-connected the 3 bathroom fans and vacummed them as well as there was a lot of dust because they had not been in use for a long time. I had purchased a new fan for one of the bathrooms but after discussing with him about the condition of the fan and realizing the noice level was acceptable, I decided not to install the new fan. So I was able to save $80 by returning the fan to Home Depot (very thankful for that!). He then fixed the outdoor light fixture that was damaged by ice and explained which bulb to purchase and how to install it. There was some time left so he asked if there was anything else not previously requested. I asked him to check the fuse box and to check and secure the button that controls the garage door. He completed both these jobs sucessfully. He did the paperwork in his car which took no more than 5 minutes. All and all it was a good experience and I would definitely hire them again and recommend them to others.

The electrician they sent was wonderful

I purchased a Big Deal for 2 hours of electrical work that VMA Electrical Inc sponsored in November 2012. After discussion with Victor, the owner of VMA, I chose to have them send 2 electricians for 1 hour, rather than 1 electrician for 2 hours. The electricians arrived when they said they would, and and were very courteous and helpful. They completed the work in a very workmanlike manner within the hour that I had prepaid. The only problem I had with this Big Deal was that it was described as $99 for 2 hours of electrician work. There was no mention of any other charges. When I called the company, after purchasing the Big Deal, I was informed that the Big Deal didn't include their $55.00 travel charge. This additional fee surprised me, since it was not described in the writeup for the Big Deal. Except for the additional $55.00 charge, that I had not expected when I purchased the Big Deal, I would have rated their price as an A. If the Big Deal writeup had described the charge, I would also have rated their price as A.

VMA was able to schedule the job quickly and at an affordable price. They arrived on time, were affable and were diligent in their work. Much to my wife's delight they also were quite conscientious to both keep our home neat and not wake the sleeping children. We highly recommend them.
