Our service electrician is a 24 year veteran in our industry with great reviews from other customers. All work is digitally recorded to file including a full premises audit of other pertinent serviceable equipment like electrical panels and associated service equipment, smoke detectors, Arc-fault/ GFCI devices, lighting fixture types etc. for knowledge and preparedness to service future electrical maintenance for all customers as information at our fingertips. We thank you for your business. Our Invoice to the customer: Customers Report: A switch in his kitchen that operates a light above the kitchen sink. The customer believes that there is something wrong with the switch. One receptacle outlet is without electrical power. This receptacle device was changed to a GFCI type by our company. -- -- Electrical Diagnostics and Repair - Countertop Receptacle device without power: Electrician findings; The wiring of the receptacle with intermittent power was wired properly. But further diagnostic found that another receptacle device on the same circuit on the line side of the problem receptacle without power had a loose neutral connection. Our electrician repair the connection issue. - Electrical Diagnostic Evaluation: light above the kitchen sink Electricians Findings: Switch control; Electrician diagnose that the switch is in good order and the circuit lighting fixture is defective which requires replacement. Our electrician offer to purchase a new lighting fixtures but was reported that the customer will install a lighting fixture.

He came with two men to install the fan. They job was to take two hours but it took the entire day. I wrote a check for $700 and left the workers each a $20 tip. Everything was fine until a few days later when we came home there was a rotten smell in the basement. I located the smell it was coming from the freezer. What had happened was instead of taking straight line from electrical box he cut the freezer wire and connected it to the fan. I called the owner who then came to my home. He was rude and yelling saying we did this ourselves. He then said they would fix it but would charge me more. They finally sent someone to correct the wiring. They left a open hole in my wall at least $400 worth of food ruined. I called their insurance company and the claim was denied because they said the hole was already there.
Description of Work: They were hired to install a fan in the basement bathroom. I was going to buy a Deal from Angie's List but the provider offered to honor the Deal price.

Response from JP McCurdy Electrical Services Inc
Unfortunately this customer is angry over an issue we did not cause. The electrical circuit our electricians worked on did not have anything to do with a freezer or a receptacle outlet. The circuit we worked on was older type 1940's rayon cloth sheath wiring cable. Our electricians and manager did not see a FREEZER plugged into the receptacle the day we worked on the Bathroom Exhaust Fan. The local municipal wire inspector reviewed the issue and found McCurdy Electric not at fault. We did notice that there was new wiring running through the ceiling area to the kitchen above. We found that there was no permit for this newer wiring installation on file at the building department. In good faith we forgave the cost of making the repair to the receptacle outlet circuit. But now a year or more later this customers is retaliating with untruthfulness.

Jack and Bill did a very good job. Clean, neat and courteous. Jack kept us informed during the entire project.
Description of Work: Jack and Bill did a great job. We needed some electrical work done to take care of those nagging items. Replaced a few outlets, repaired an outlet that was not working, replaced high up ceiling lights with new LED bulbs, and repaired a blinking recessed light.

The work that needed to be performed included knob and tube removal in the attic, replacement wiring to update most of the second floor, some light switches updated, and some new outlets added. The crew did a great job and what I thought might take several days was completed in under 2 days. In the process, the electricians also helped tidy up a shoddy job done by another electrician prior to when I purchased my home. The crew was professional and clearly explained what was going to be done beforehand. After performing the work, they cleaned up any areas that needed to be drilled, etc. and it was hardly noticeable that anything had been done, meaning it was as minimally invasive as possible to get access to the inside of the walls. I'd be happy to work with them again.

Once the rough walls were up, the electrical project manager, Karl, came and took a look at the space and marked up where all of the outlets and switches would go. He was very professional and answered all of my questions. He also explained that the project would probably require a third electrical panel for common (between the two apartments) electrical circuits in the house, but he would confirm with the electrical inspector. Rough-in work began with little delay. There was a large amount of illegal work that they had to fix, and they explained how and why it needed to be done. Since it was outside the scope of the original quote, this was at an added cost. The electricians were very professional and finished about on time. When it came time for the final work, the electricians were once again very professional and answered all of my questions. After discussing with the electrical inspector, it was decided that I did need a third panel (which was already in the original quote) and I might need a new external meter box on the outside of the house. This was in accordance with the local regulations. JP did not charge extra for installing the new meter box. There were a few delays, but overall, the project manager was very responsive via text, phone call and email. I can say with certainty that JP McCurdy is my go-to electrician company from now on.
Description of Work: I purchased a two-family house in Revere, MA with a partially renovated third floor. All of the previous work was done by the old owner illegally and without permits. It was also done poorly I pulled a permit to add two bedrooms and a bathroom. The electrical inspector in Revere said we needed a permit for the two bedrooms and bathroom.

I had called McCurdy Electric to give me a quote on knob & tube removal due to the fact we are selling our home. Karl came out for the estimate was prompt and extremely professional. They were able to meet our short time line and the crew they sent were excellent in every way, cleaned and kept us up to date on their schedule to complete the work. At the end we could not have been happier with what we thought was going to be a nightmare. Would use them again on electrical needs at our new home.

Responsive: F. Ryan Shallow promptly replied the email after I purchased the Big Deal. No response after the first visit. I emailed 3 times and called 3 times, after the initial visit. Never returned any. I am eager to see their response on this review. Work: N/A. I called in advance and mentioned installing occupancy sensor. I have asked if they have the part, but short answer is no - "they need to come of site and see". They do not bother to ask further questions to for preparing the work. Technician came on site and fix the broken outlet in 15 minutes. Technician told me this need to be rescheduled as they need to order parts. Final Note: They might do a "great job" but due to the lack of responsiveness, I recommend stay out of it if you looking for a reliable provider.

It didn't go well at all. We hired this company in December-2014 for above mentioned work. They came to my house and started work on around 12/08/2014(Exact date don't remember because they rescheduled twice). Project Manager name is Karl Backer. Based on certain percentage of work completion he asked us for payments and we paid accordingly on time. I am writing review(which is basically a complaint about this company). Today its 04/15/2016 and still they have not finished entire work. Our house is a mess with the electrical garbage still lying around and no light in the entire house. We have lamps all over the place. There are few reason behind this which I would like to share with fellow members. MY QUESTION TO JP MCCURDY OFFICE IS, IT WAS $18000 AMOUNT WHICH I PAID ON TIME. I PAID THEM ON TIME WITHOUT ANY DELAY AND THEY ARE NOT SENDING THEIR CREW FOR $450 DISPUTED AMOUNT (ACCORDING TO ME I PAID FOR EVERYTHING, EXCEPT LED HUTCH LIGHT STRIPS). EVEN THOUGH IF IT IS DUE ON ME AND UNPAID THEY SHOULD FINISH PENDING WORK AND THEN TALK AND TRY TO FIND SOLUTION WITH MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING BY SHOWING SOME PROFESSIONALISM. INSTEAD OF DOING THAT THEY EXPECT ME TO PAY FIRST AND THEN THEY WILL COME. I DON'T TRUST THEM AT ALL ANYMORE. Detail : Company crew came and started working BUT the way they worked everyday was not very convincing, they always seemed to be in a rush because of which they incorrectly installed switches which they changed but disfigured our walls with their pencil drawings which was never taken care off. They never clean work area properly after work completion on that day. Our new LED TV had dust all over when we forgot to cover the living area once such was the level of unprofessional-ism and don't care attitude. We told them so many times about this but there were no changes in their cleanliness. Eventually we ended up cleaning our house every evening and then preparing the house for work the next day. For preparing the house the next day we had to move and cover the furniture because the electricians didn't do anything. Some how they finished Knob & Tube removal work, Electrical panel upgrade and installed few extra new Switches and receptacles which we asked for. They didn't finish light fixture installation(only 3 of our light fixtures were delayed)but there are no light or fan fixtures in the entire house which was taken down while working on Knob & Tube removal and also any new fixtures (except for a fan in one bedroom and an incorrectly placed new light fixture in the entrance hallway).(Reason for this was, Karl the manger said his crew will come back for installing new light fixtures so they will do all this together) In 2015(January-March) we had a series of severe winter storm in Boston area and because of some production issues 3 of our light fixtures, which we ordered online, weren't delivered on time. These came only towards the middle of March. Due to this fact and the work situation Karl(Project Manager) suggested to us that we get the town inspection done and when the light fixtures will arrive then his crew will come back and install all new and old light fixtures. . In order to do this he demanded us to clear all remaining dues and then only he will proceed to get an inspection date. I asked him why he was asking for full payment without work completion as his crew was coming back for work completion but he said it's company process and he won't be able to finalize inspection date unless paid in full. By considering the good rating and reputation of this company I paid remaining balance in full, AND now I am regretting for that mistake. Now I feel like Karl tricked me. Here is the story once we paid remaining balance. Prior to getting money he promised to come back once my shipment arrives and install all new and old light fixtures. After getting money h got inspection date from the town. To pass inspection his crew put temporary light holder(plastic holder with bulb) in all existing ceiling outlets and somehow managed to pass inspection from town. Do check the pictures for the condition of our house. Our 3 light fixtures came in March-2015 and when I tried reaching Karl then got no response from him(or an occasional response like he is busy and doing me some favor). I made several phone calls, texted him and even dropped follow up mails to get in touch with him. however the responses were always delayed. He texted me saying he will call me tomorrow(that tomorrow never came). These follow up sessions continued for several months. While doing all this I also start getting unpaid Bill from JPMccurdy office for couple of basement lights which according to them I hadn't paid. I responded back and included Karl in the conversation and asked for explanation. Karl never responded back. I was very busy with my office work that time BUT still followed up with mails over the time addressed to Karl but didn't get any prompt response. I got couple of further mails regarding payment issues and got frustrated and decided instead of running behind Karl it would be better to communicate with JPMccurdy office. So I started communicating with the office executive in August-2015 Judy and Darcy assisted me on this matter. They looked into this issue, and internally spoke with Karl and finally told me that I never paid for few basement lights which they installed and the company crew will come and finish work only when I paid. Even then the scope and and nature of unfinished work isn't defined and they haven't agreed to finishing everything. I was so tired and frustrated with their un-professional behavior. I don't know how many payments Karl reported to company billing department. I denied their charges and told them it's disputed amount and I will not pay without proper explanation. I suggested to look into all payments which I gave to Karl and come up with a solution. Instead of understanding the problem and agreeing to some mutual solution they have asked me to pay first. This issue dragged for long and became very ugly finally John McCurdy (company owner) came into picture visited our house and started looking into this issue. He got involved in November - 2015. He looked into this matter and dug out all possible issue points. I gave him all payment details with date and check number. Two of these payments were Cash amounts and one cash payment entry was missing in billing department. I told John that I don't have any proof for that particular cash payment apart from that we went to nearby Bank Of America ATM machine. I believe John understood the situation and said he will look into this and take advice from appropriate person and get back to me. John's last mail on this mater was on 28th March 2016. I waited for few more weeks for his response and followed up with mail too. I have not received response till now and decided to report this incident to Angie's list forum to share my experience with this company. Hope this will help fellow members to find a good and genuine company for their household work. Even the company crew isn't consistent and keeps changing so the customer will be left in a fix and the said electricians aren't professionals too.
Description of Work: We hired this company to remove knob & tube with regular electric wiring as per code. We also added few more line item as mentioned below. 1. Knob & Tube removal from entire house and replacing with regular electric wiring as per code. 2. Electrical panel upgrade to 200 AMP(Service upgrade). 3. New(Extra) Switches and receptacles. 4. Addition of few New(Extra) light fixtures. Completed Work : ----------------- 1. Knob & Tube removal from entire house and replacing with regular electric wiring as per code. - I will say this is partial BECAUSE they didn't put back all light and fan fixtures back to the ceiling. 2. Electrical panel upgrade to 200 AMP(Service upgrade). Pending Work : --------------- 1. Around 45 customized Wall plate replacement(This include both switch & receptacle plates) along with foam insulation behind the plates to be put up. Reason : We ordered brass switch plates which came in the middle of December 2014 since the work had started and we had already informed the electricians and the manager Karl about these. The electricians working on the job said that since these were brass plates they would only put these after the town inspection as they didn't want any hassle during inspection because these were brass plates. The electricians told us that even if they were left behind we could install them ourselves. The electricians assigned to the job were always in a rush and even when we communicated to them our wishes about the different color switches going accordingly in each room, also about installing dimmers and foam insulation behind the plates they never listened. The foam insulation was used to put our new expensive light fixtures in place they couldn't even straighten it which made us even question the authenticity and credentials of these workers. Please beware before hiring workers from this company because they don't do their jobs properly, never listen to owners, and we don't think they are even master electricians because they don't know how to put up new light fixtures also. 2. To put all light fixture back on ceiling, hutch lighting Reason : couple of light fixture didn’t come on time because of 2015(January - March) winter storm. According to Karl(Project Manager ) suggestions that we get complete inspection done and his crew will come back once shipment arrives and then they will put everything back on ceiling we went ahead with the inspection like fools. Our hutch lighting is partially placed around the hutch and we don't even know whether they have put transformers for those or not again no communication about the work with us. We had wanted to see how the hutch lighting would work out but they put the light partially in place without even explaining to us whether they have used any transformers or not and what kind and what wattage light they will be putting up. Currently we are stuck with a partially lit hutch with rope lighting. Please refer to our pictures to see the kind and quality of work the company electricians have done. There are holes in the walls that haven't been properly filled up. The wires and plates that they cut off they didn't even bother collecting it and disposing it off instead have left all the garbage for us to dispose off. Number of Light\fan\Chandeliers Chandeliers- 3 Family room and living Room – 1 (1st floor) Dining Room – 1 (1st floor) Master Bedroom – 1 (2nd floor) Staircase – 1 (2nd floor, This is big one) Light fixture – 5 Hallway – 3 (2nd floor) Office Room - 1 (2nd floor) Hallway(Entrance) – 1 (1st floor) Pendant Light – 2 Front Porch – 1(1st floor) Back Porch - 1(1st floor) Light&Fan fixture – 3 Family– 1 (1st floor) Kitchen - 1 (1st floor) Bedroom - 1(2nd floor) 3. Put 4 way switch at two places and 3 fan dimmers Reason – Switch was not available at that time because we only got informed about it once the work started. Derek and Eddie the electricians working on the job at the time put dummy switch as a placeholder for inspection in one place and the other hole was left empty. The inspection took place with the empty hole in the wall. Instead of fan dimmers they have put regular switches in the rooms. The electricians assigned to the job were always in a rush and even when we communicated to them our wishes about the different color switches going accordingly in each room, also about installing dimmers and foam insulation behind the plates they never listened. 4. Doorbell - After removing knob & tube doorbell stopped working. Derek the electrician promised that he would look into this but that was also never looked into. Currently doorbell not working and the wire has been cut off. 5. New Light outlet installation in back porch falls directly above the back door, which needs to be moved away from door so that any hanging light fixture will go over there. It is questionable how the electricians working at our house could leave a work like that and still call themselves electricians. The light fixtures both at the front and back entrance needs to be replaced. 6. Previously installed Two fan fixtures that wobbles(installed after knob & tube replacement), It looks like it has not been installed properly. Consider this as Service request. The workers were always in a rush so their work was shoddy and they ddin't even inspect if the fixture had been put up properly or not. A new expensive light fixture has been installed using foam insulation to keep it straight. The workers need to be continuously monitored and looked after and even then they didn't listen to us or communicate properly. 7. All their garbage left for us to dispose off. The electricians were so dirty and had a didn't care attitude that even after repeatedly requesting them not to move around in their work boots around the house they did that. They had no cleaning equipment but every morning we used to cover the furniture and provide them with sheets so at least they could not dirty the rooms. There was white dust all around the house still left and my wife who was expecting at that time was left with everything to clean after they would leave everyday. Their loads of garbage bags with even their coffee cups are still left around the house. 8. They didn't give us warranty slips or even retain the packaging of the common lights they have put in our basement and attic although we had requested for those. So beware before hiring this company for any work because even after trying to contact the manager Karl and the company owner a number of times the issue hasn't been resolved. They are not even listening to us and it seems like they are ready with answers regarding all the queries and have even consulted their lawyers about the same. We were first time home owners and taken for a ride and believed everything these guys told us without even taking down any written documentation regarding all the pending work from these guys. Other people can learn from our experience and save their hard earned money. The company seems to be a pro at doing shoddy work and then legally fighting out the claims. We don't have any experience neither time or money like these guys to be prolonging the matter in court and we have already paid them a major portion almost the entire amount except for a couple of hundred dollars for the hutch light. Whenever the manager said that we had to pay we did pay them on TIME. A very bad experience with the work which has made us wary about dealing with other service providers. The workforce of the company isn't consistent. The electricians coming to our house were changed twice and they have left the company now so no way of discussing the matter with them and presenting our side of the story. The workforce isn't consistent and not even professionals. Disputed Item : --------------- 1. hutch LED strips : This is unpaid item. The kind of agreement with Karl, the manager, on this item was that, if we like those strips then we will keep that otherwise will return. BUT after January 2015 we never connected with each other and decision on this item remains pending. 2. Basement Light : 5 basement flashlight remains unpaid, which I don’t have any idea. I paid all amount in full before inspection. I tried to talk to Karl the manager (brief explanation is mentioned below) which has been a fruitless conversation.

Response from JP McCurdy Electrical Services Inc
This is an unfortunate situation. The customer and service contractor (contractor) entered into a contract to do electrical work at the customer’s home, initially the removal of Knob & Tube wiring. As the customer states in his first paragraph: “We hired this company to remove knob & tube with regular electric wiring as per code. We also added few more line item….” The customer did add some work, which was included in the contract and added some work, which was not. The contractor charged him for the “add-ons” that were not covered in the contract. This was the root of the problem. The customer felt if the electricians were on site, then any additions, regardless of what they may be, were covered. That is not how the electrical business works, especially when it comes to purchasing parts not covered under the contract. In addition, the customer approached two of the contractor’s electricians and offered to pay them to do work on their own, “after hours”. Theses electricians have been with the contractor for over ten years and refused the customer’s offer. This added more fuel to what was becoming an unpleasant working environment. The contractor lost money on the job trying to appease the customer. The contractor could go into more detail, but he believes that anyone reading this complaint could possibly draw a conclusion that perhaps the customer is a bit unreasonable. The contractor has been in business for 35 years with a better than 95% approval rating. The contractor is not perfect and has made mistakes, but he has always been willing to do whatever it takes to correct the situation to satisfy the customer. In this case, nothing will suffice. However, the job was completed and past the municipal electrical inspection. Not only did the customer write an “F” review on Angie’s list, but sent the same one to the Better Business Bureau, with whom the contractor has an A+ rating. It’s apparent that this is more than a just an unsatisfied customer.

Was expecting work to be completed at first visit, instead, just did an assessment and estimate. Second visit, still did not complete work requested and able to do just 2 smaller projects. The main reason for getting the deal was for pool filter outlet to be replaced. Took 5 visits and multiple days going in late for work, as twice there were no shows. Once just call to cell phone but did not come to door, Another time, logistical problems with an elecrtrician car trouble. Finally, the last guy, on the fifth visit just changed the plug for the pool filter and we finally got done what we needed.

Response from JP McCurdy Electrical Services Inc
This is a situation where neither McCurdy Electric nor the customer was in sync with one another. It doesn’t usually happen but in this case it did. The customer was correct; the job should not have taken five visits. For that delay, McCurdy does apologize. However, there were extenuating circumstances that made it impossible to complete the work in a single visit. The customer wanted an up front free estimate which we give but with caveats. Without a diagnostic evaluation, McCurdy can never be sure what they will encounter in a “finished” environment – that is, finished walls, ceilings etc. A diagnostic evaluation is $95. It is a charge for electrician’s time and travel, but the evaluation pinpoints unseen problems making an estimate more precise. McCurdy Electric did not mention this to customer, thinking it was a straightforward job and a diagnostic was not needed. If a customer accepts a diagnostic evaluation and elects to proceed with the work, it becomes part of the job. It’s very similar to taking your car in for service. Dealer suggests a diagnostic evaluation to find out what is wrong. If you elect to have it fixed, there is no separate diagnostic charge. If you decline to have it fixed, there is a charge for the evaluation. In this case, had McCurdy done a diagnostic evaluation and the customer accepted the quote, McCurdy would have saved the customer one or two visits. So yes, the customer is correct. Unfortunately, it probably would have taken a second visit due to the pool motor having a non-typical socket receptacle that was corroded and required to be “special ordered”.

I would never recommend this company for the big work. May be for the small job they are OK but not for the big job. We took this company even the price was too expensive because they promised to do this job on time. It took them 7 months to finish to upgrade electric meter in our 3 family house. Very often they did not return our calls. Several times we called the company owner but without successes. They worked one-two days and after disappears for the weeks, then again work one day and disappears for the weeks. They worked not productive. They coming back to do the same work several times.

Response from JP McCurdy Electrical Services Inc
On June 29, 2015, The customer contracted McCurdy Electric to do “knob & tube” replacement as well as electrical service upgrade at his four-unit apartment building in Lynn, MA. The building consists of three two-bedroom units – on third floor and two on second; and a three-bedroom apartment on the first. One of the four units was vacant. The customer could not have been more helpful. He tried to coordinate access to the units with tenants. We contacted the electrical power utility company, National Grid. As those who have ever worked with National Grid (NG) underground know, it can take forever to get their attention due to their bureaucracy. For instance, getting National Grid to survey the job was problematic. Once on site, NG was indecisive about age of wiring and power load. Then they needed to test the main transformer. By now it was mid December when NG scheduled work almost six months after we contacted them. Once on site, it took them a while to decide to update and up size the underground service conductors and to trench the street to install new conduit piping. The tenants proved to be another problem. Our agreement with the customer stated that all obstacles had to removed so that our electricians could gain access without delaying them. He did his best but unfortunately some of the tenants did not heed our customer’s request. For example, tenants were not at home, refused us access or were asleep and didn’t want to be disturbed. Beside replacing the knob and tube wiring, we also found that the general lighting circuits and heating system wiring were intermix between the common areas and individual apartments, These needed to be separated and relocated into the proper tenants’ electric panels. We never charged for the electricians’ time to do all this, instead doing it in good faith because of a good relationship with our customer. In the end, the building had all knob and tube wiring replaced; new romex wiring and all systems and circuits brought up to code. The municipal wire inspector of Lynn, Craig Whitconm, was impressed by our workmanship having inspected the wiring and noting hazards prior to our work. In addition, we corrected “out of code” wiring systems that were not part of the original agreement gratis. The job was completed on February 9, 2016, some 7+ months from our start date. The customer appreciated our efforts. We received final payment on February 25, 2016. Our customer's wife wrote the negative review. We never had any contact with her during the project and were totally surprised.

I purchased an older home in Marblehead and waned to make sure there was no live knob and tube wiring in the house. They sent two guys out who were on time, professional and polite. They inspected the entire house and confirmed that there was no live knob and tubing. Following the inspection, as promised, the sent me an email confirming their findings which I requested for insurance purposes. I am very pleased with the work performed and would use them again for additional electrical work as needed.

They showed up on time with two gentlemen. They were friendly and courteous and did nice clean work. They didn't ask for anything extra above what the price was quoted which was nice.

They said they would be at my house on Friday at 7:00 AM. After waiting until 9:00 AM with no one showing up I decided to call the guy that originally came out. He was surprised that no one was at my house yet and said he would look into it and call me back in a few minutes. I received an email at 2:00 (5 hrs later) that started off with "Stephen I just got back in the office, took most of the day off because my boss totally screwed the schedule and I was beyond p*****". I understand that mistakes happen and it would not have been the end of the world but the customer service was just unacceptable as I should've been contacted much earlier and notified that no one was coming out to me. After I wrote my original review, I was contacted by Darcy Shaw. She was very understanding and apologized on behalf of JP McCurdy Electrical Services. After our discussion I agreed to have them come out and take care of the work we originally agreed on. The service and work were very professional. I am now a satisfied customer in spite of the original hiccup in customer service.
Description of Work: I originally contacted this company because I needed a quote on an install of 1 electrical outlet on the outside of my house, 4 outlets installed in our 3 season room and a replacement of a faulty circuit breaker. An electrician came out to look at what needed to be done and emailed me a quote later on that day. I was satisfied with the quote and we agreed on a date and time to have them do the work.

My husband had a trench dug from the cellar to a shed that he was looking to have electricity wired to,so that he could work out there. We originally had McCurdy Electric come out and look at it and he had so many other things that he said we had to do,that we decided to do it ourselves. We pulled a permit only to have it rescinded the next day with the inspector saying that the city can not give permits to homeowners anymore. That we could do the work but it can't be inspected. So we again contacted McCurdy electric. The pvc conduit was already done and the estimate that we agreed to ( after three phone calls over four weeks )for having the wiring at both the cellar and the shed done was $480. They came out today and worked 5 hours for what they said would be a few hour job. Then they said they would be back tomorrow. Mr McCurdy brought the city inspector out with him and said the inspector made all these new recommendations that would now cost $1800 ! Hmm...the inspector was here before McCurdy ever was and said everything looked good. Needless to say, we told him we could not afford that, to which he replied" well you can make payments." We are not interested. We just want what they gave the estimate for to be done, for the payment agreed upon. We will know more tomorrow and keep Angie's list posted
