"The welding to repair the tractor loader was of excellent quality. The welding technician also took the time to repaint the welded section and area around the new weld, so it looked great! The welding technician worked efficiently, charged fairly, and was personable."

"I needed a fence (or really more like a railing) installed along my walk, which my roommate needed to hang onto. I got 3 bids. Remarkable Fence charged half as much as the other two and they did a great job. They gave me just what I needed."

Small jobs welcome

Hello I have been ironworking for 13 years and been welding for 16 years(including the 13). 10 of those years i have been union. I have been working for big name companies such as Marr crane and rigging, Santini brothers iron works, E.D.M. construction, and tnt steel erectors. I have plenty of knowledge and plenty of skill to be able to work and get any job done. I worked on iron railings, fences, pipe, structural steel reinforcement, welding moments on steel beams. I can work within 100 miles from Boston. I will try to work with you if you are a bit out of my range. I think my company will be the best for you cause I will be the safest and quickest to complete any job and I will uphold those standards.

"I had put a message in the “Nextdoor Digest “. I was looking for someone to move my fence over so that I could enlarge the back yard area. Zachary was the first to respond. We set up a day/ time to meet. From the moment I met him, there was not a doubt in my mind that he was the one for the job. For a young person, I was beyond impressed with his work ethic. He is so motivated and so driven to be not just a successful businessman man, but a wonderful provider for his family. Zachary had sent me an estimate within hours of our meeting. His price was quite reasonable. He was there when he told me he could start the job. I had actually just poured my Saturday morning coffee and looked out the window to see that he was already hard at work. I recently had him back to my house a few days ago. We brainstormed ideas on putting a patio in my backyard. I was quite impressed with his ideas and creativity. I truly can not recommend Zachary enough! You will not be disappointed!"

"I recently had my shingle roof replaced and I?m very happy with the results. The team was professional, punctual, and completed the job efficiently. The quality of the work is excellent, and the new roof looks great. They kept the work area clean and communicated well throughout the process. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a roof replacement."

"Andy from ADT Welding and Fabrication was a pleasure to work with. Very pleasant, courteous, and dependable. A real true professional with excellent customer facing skills. Plus, his work was excellent and thanks to him we were able to restore a beautiful metal railing in the front of our house that had the bottom posts rotted away . Also, his prices are quite reasonable for the quality of the work he does. I would definitely use him again or recommend him to other home-owners."

Welding questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can cut plexiglass by hand using a sharp knife or blade (utility knife, box cutter, glass cutter, etc.).

Professional metal fabricators typically charge around $70 per hour, but the total cost of your project will depend on several factors. The largest cost drivers are the size, complexity, and design of the project, as well as the price and type of metal used. A good way to estimate the total cost is to multiply the cost of raw materials by four; typically, one-quarter of the total goes toward materials and three-quarters toward labor. Your geographic location can also influence costs, as labor and material prices vary by region.

Welders use a variety of methods in their trade. Different types of welding are better suited for different purposes and contexts. For example, stick welding is a versatile form suitable for most metals and alloys. The most common types of welding include:

  • Stick welding: $100–$1,000

  • Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding: $250 and up

  • Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding: $250 and up

  • Gas welding: $150 and up

  • Forge welding: $15–$25 per hour

It will likely take an experienced pro less than an hour to install a ground rod, which is another reason why letting them handle the job is such a good idea. Safety concerns aside, it would likely take you much longer to install a ground rod if you decided to take this one as a DIY job.

Yes, you can use a saw to cut metal pipes. The best saw to use is a reciprocating saw, but even a fine-tooth hacksaw can get the job done. No matter which saw you use to cut metal pipes, wear protective gear, like work gloves, safety goggles, and ear plugs. Apply a firm, steady pressure to the tool, and always ensure the pipes are secured so they don't move while you make the cuts.
