"Bob responded to my request the same day and was very flexible to us having to delay his work repeatedly as we waited for a dry streak this wet summer to finish something else first. Bob had the right equipment (55' lift) to get the jobs done while protecting roof. Work was high quality and Bob is easy to work with. Would definitely use again."

"For a small job (patch holes caused by hummingbird), John provided me a timely and affordable estimate, while other contractors gave me fixed price 4-5 times higher than what I paid for John's work. John did a great job. I would hire him again and recommend his services."

Small jobs welcome

"Yes! Joe was great! He was very courteous, on time and cleaned up thoroughly! He did a good job and was sure that everything worked before he left. He installed a couple of door locks and a hanging light in my kitchen."

Customers say: True professional

"We just purchased a new house and needed several things done. I put out an inquiry on here and Claudius was very responsive to my inquiry. He was available the next day to come and give us an estimate. He gave us a very reasonable quote so we decided to proceed with the quote. He was here the next business day to complete the work. He installed exterior shutter on 9 windows, installed 2 ceiling fans and replaced 2 broken light ballasts in our garage. He is extremely hard working, and his workmanship is perfect. He is also a very nice person, and easy to deal with. I’m sure we’ll be needing him at some point for something here or there around the house and I’ve already recommended him to a family member looking to have a patio done in the Spring. I can’t say enough good things about Cladius. He is truly a gem. If you need any project done, no big or large do not hesitate to contact him!"

"My husband and I hired Jessie to replace 3 rotted window sills with vinal and put new frames around them. He demonstrated superior carpentry skills in that this project was perfectly done, impressively custom fitting the window encasements. He and his son also shored up an existing deck and replaced the compromised metal braces on the ends. They did a very good job. Excellent communication and cleanup. Hope to hire him again!"

Childproofing questions, answered by experts

Yes, tamper-resistant outlets are a safe and effective way to protect children from electrical hazards. They feature a spring-loaded shutter that blocks the outlet slots when not in use, preventing a child from inserting foreign objects. While they are the safest option available, it's important to note that few things can be considered truly 'childproof.' Children may still try to imitate adults by inserting a plug, so constant supervision around any electrical device is recommended. Tamper-resistant outlets are a much safer solution than childproofing covers, which can be removed by children and may pose a choking hazard.

Many parents, especially first-time parents, agree that professional childproofing is worth it. These professional childproofing services are trained to recognize dangerous home situations that many people would overlook until it's too late. Furthermore, professional childproofing experts have access to top-of-the-line equipment you can't purchase at most stores, providing longevity and peace of mind.

A professional childproofer will first survey your home to identify potentially dangerous locations, including stairs, cabinets, and pools. Once approved, your professional will order and install the safety equipment for you.

Some ways a childproofing professional will make your home safe include:

  • Anchoring large furniture

  • Installing safety gates

  • Installing safety latches on cabinets and drawers

  • Covering railings that could trap a child

  • Covering electrical outlets

  • Installing a swimming pool fence

  • Removing or covering electrical cords where possible

Yes, tamper-resistant outlets are designed to be safe for use in homes with children. They feature a spring-loaded shutter that blocks the electrical slots when not in use, which helps protect children from electric shock if they try to insert an object. While they are the safest option available and highly effective, it's important to note that few things are truly 'childproof.' Children may still try to imitate adults by inserting a plug. For this reason, it's best to use tamper-resistant outlets over less effective solutions like plastic covers, which can be removed or pose a choking hazard. Always supervise young children around any electrical outlets or devices.

The best time to hire a childproofing professional is at least three months before your due date. Although it might seem early, proper childproofing takes time, especially if you need extensive services like a pool fence. Getting your house ready now before your child is on the go only helps to protect them at all stages of life.
