"Anthony Dronet arrived at our house when he said he would. He talked to us for a long time and acted like we were his only customer. We discussed our needs vs our wants and he took notes and made recommendations. He scheduled a date for us to come to the store. Everyone was attentive to our needs and within an hour of arriving, we had selected our granite and backsplash, designed a new Island for Jonathan Dronet to build, and picked out our flooring. Once the flooring arrived, within three days, our Island was installed, new counter tops installed and flooring installed. Every installer was scheduled in coordination with others and everything went very smoothly. Some things we had purchased ourselves from other vendors caused a significant delay that Dronet's just adapted to. We couldn't be more pleased."

It’s a good idea to install a rug pad under the carpet for your stairs. To make the pad fit, you’ll need to cut one section for each stair tread that’s about one inch narrower than the stair runner so that it won’t be visible once the carpet is installed on top.

Berber is a loop pile carpet known for its strength, durability, and distinct looped look. It can be made from a number of different carpet materials, including nylon and wool. However, Berber isn’t as soft as cut pile carpet, so it isn’t the best carpet for a bedroom (although it’s a good style of carpet for living rooms).

With that said, if you really like the look of Berber, you can still install it in your bedroom—it just might not be as comfortable on your feet as cut pile carpeting.

You may get better coverage painting your baseboards if you do so before carpet is installed. The best course of action may be to attempt to paint them between having the old floor removed and the new floor laid, though this will render the room unusable for a period of time and may make the entire project a bit slower overall.

Because carpet tiles are designed to adhere to the subfloor directly, it’s usually not a good idea to install padding under them. Some carpet tiles come with padding attached to the tile if you prefer a cushier walking experience. In some cases, you can use a compact underlayment beneath your tiles, but you would likely need help from a pro to accomplish this type of installation.

Carpet installers use furniture sliders or blankets to protect your furniture during the installation process. They handle each piece with care to minimize the risk of damage. Additionally, they may employ techniques such as lifting and shifting furniture rather than dragging it across the floor to prevent scratches or other marks. If you have particularly delicate or heavy items that need to be moved, discuss special handling with the installers beforehand.
