"Overall, it went very well. I was very happy that the man who did the estimate was the same man who came out and did the work. Mr. Dupre even came out to my house the Saturday before the job started and applied a sample to make sure the stain color was what I wanted. I live north of Baton Rouge and that (along with traffic) caused Mr. Dupre to be a little late some of the scheduled work days. I did not get a competitive quote because I found very few providers who do actual refinishing and the price seemed reasonable based on the amount of time needed to do the job properly. I don't know if "refacing" would have been cheaper, but I wanted to keep the wood grain pattern and I think "refacing" removes that natural look. Mr. Dupre did need to come back a few days after the job was done to touch up the polyurethane on some of the cabinets. The cabinets are more glossy than I had anticipated, but I am not going to fault Mr. Dupre for this. They look excellent in my opinion.
