"Work performed is excellent. Communication is lacking. Job took 7 weeks to complete. He may have quit the business shortly after my install. He said he would be back to adjust my iron driveway gate and hasn't returned. Phone calls have gone unanswered, voicemails not returned, and now the phone says not accepting calls. So I don't know, if I ever get an explanation and the gate adjusted, I'd rate 5 stars."

Other mechanisms can help you keep your gate securely shut. Secure gate latch types will do the job, such as magnetic or spring-loading, self-closing lever varieties, or automatic gate openers. However, they won’t control the speed at which the gate closes. You can purchase slam plates that use rubber buffers to reduce noise and the potential damage-inducing impact of a fast-closing, heavy gate.

This largely depends on the layout of your property and your preferred walking route to various entryways. Take your time figuring out the perfect spot for the gate to avoid difficulties later on. With all this said, the best place to put a gate is an area free from obstructions that offer the shortest route to your house.
