It didn't. This was to be the first rear brake job on my car so should have been the listed price. They did the alignment and then called me to tell me that instead of the $189.99 it was supposed to cost it would be over $500 because the pads were so thin that the rotors had to be replaced, and they'd run the test and the brake fluid needed to be "flushed." I told him to hold up, don't do anything. I'm calling my trusted mechanic. I got a call about 30 minutes later from who I assume was the head "used car salesman" telling me that he would work with me on the price and none of what was suggested was mandatory, just what they suggested, etc. I told him, no thanks and goodbye. I realized I had made a big mistake by not using my extremely reliable mechanic, Brakes & More, just because of convenience. So I called Art, owner of Brakes & More and he questioned all of it. So I scheduled an appt with him, B&M, for Monday. When I picked up my car, Art showed me the brake pad and confirmed that none of what Tire Engineers was factual. Do not trust these guys!!!

Brought the car in with no other issues than a torn boot. When I picked it up the car was making a very loud clunk from the front end. Brought it back and the service person said to leave it and they would look at it. Called me Monday morning and said it needed front end strut bearings because they were old. I explained this isn't possible as I had personally changed them just recently. They explained that their "suspension expert" had looked it over and that's what they found. They said for another $390 they could change them out. I decided to take the car back and check it for myself. As a side note while the car was in their possession someone cleaned out $8 in change from the coin holder, they said I was either mistaken or that maybe someone from the Sonic drive thru next door cleaned it out while the car sat on their lot...utterly insulting and ridiculous. Yesterday I had a chance to check the car myself, I had my wife push on the front of the car and in less than three minutes diagnosed the problem. Both the left and right side sway bar links were loose. The problem here is the following, I found what their expert couldn't in the span of three minutes, there's absolutley no reason they would need to touch these for the job they did. Lastly if they were loose prior to the car going in, even just a turn the car would have made the noise. These weren't loose, they were on the verge of falling out. I tightened them up and the car was fine again. I drove over to tell the manager what I found and he admitted they wouldn't have touched those in the scope of the original repair. The entire time I laid out my complaint he couldn't look me in the eye, they had no explanation on how both sides could be loose. Offered no apology for the missing change or even reimbursement and to top it all off at the end asked if I still wanted to change out the part that wasn't faulty to begin with...Seriously? I've used them in the past but will never use or recommend them again.

The provider performed the services required to get my vehicle running. Skid Marks charged at least $150 more than another out of town mechanic said the service should have cost. The service took longer than originally quoted and I feel the provider charged for services that were not neccessary.

Service Manager, Danny David was fast, friendly and fair.
Price was so low compared to the competition that I also bought the road hazard warranty and still came out less expensive.

Initial Repairs seemed to go well.
Vehicle seemed to drive and operate OK after repairs.
On 10/15/2012 about 6000 miles following repairs vehicle experienced wheel bearing failure while traveling out of state.
Bearings began making a loud noise that grew worse over a distance of about 300 miles.
Vehicle was taken to mechanic and problem found was front bearings were over torqued on both wheels.
When right front wheels was removed, bearings were damaged.
Mechanic recommended changing all bearings, seats and seals on both front wheels
Mechanic also stated that it appears that bearings were not cleaned and new grease applied, a service I was charged for.
Total charges for all service was $300.00
Upon return to town I visited the Service center, explained the problem and requested reimbursement for the repairs.
Owner refused, and offered a small refund.
I also has expensed of hotel and meals out of state for 2 days due to delays caused by breakdown.
I have copies of all services I can submit to support the above.
