When I brought my car there, they do the honest work to figure out what is actually wrong.
They don't overcharge and they don't do jobs that don't need to be done. When they do the job, I've never had it fail me so just integrity. They do what they should do.
The latest issue with the car - my son told me the car had stalled on him while driving home and the check engine light was on. I checked the car and it seemed to run ok but the engine light stayed on so we brought it to Siegen Car Care the next day. They ran a diagnostic and the readings indicated low oil pressure. They checked and found the vehicle was low on oil. They changed the oil and filter and all is well. I can only assume that when the dealer fixed the mechanical problems this past Spring that they failed to put in the 4 quarts of oil needed because there was no oil leakage indication on the concrete where he parks it. According to the indicator panel on the car it said he had 60% oil life left so there was no indication there that there was a lack of oil issue. Fortunately, according to Siegen Car Care, the car has safety warning features that when there is a lack of oil, which would cause intermittent low oil pressure readings, the car shuts down, so at least that works on this car. Fortunately for all concerned we were able to resolve the problem before serious damage occurred to the engine. Bottom line - I trust Siegen Car Care to fix my cars and give me advice on who can, if it's something they do not do.
Daniel said they could look at it right away, but not knowing anyone in town, I told him I had no ride back to my office, about 2 miles from their shop. Daniel was so kind as to even offer (and give me) a ride back to my office.
Within an hour, I got a call from Graham, who told me what was wrong and how much it would cost to fix. I was totally impressed with his honesty and forthrightness. In my experience, a/c work can be extremely expensive. A couple hundred bucks to have working a/c in Louisiana right before summer...you bet! And a couple hundred bucks is a lot cheaper than a new car payment!
I picked the truck up later in the afternoon and have had zero problems since. Kudos to Siegen Car Care! If I need to - and I always hope the answer is no - I'll be back!
