The contract described in detail the scope, materials, and timing of the job. The contract was for 14 days, they worked at it for 62. The contract was ignored. Concerns were met with arrogance. Complaints were met with hostility. Rain was allowed in and my office was drenched, including my computer. The carpentry work was the worst I have ever seen. They tried to hide the many huge defects with wood filler and caulk. Kevin raged against the workers such that the best ones in the bunch walked off the job. The foreman complained to me that Kevin had gotten him out of jail and was now using him as forced labor or Kevin would return him to jail. The police were called twice to handle disputes among the work crew. I finally had enough and terminated the contract. I filed suit against Kevin and Roofmasters Mastercare. He has been ducking the summons ever since. He is apparently experienced in avoiding being served with civil papers. I have since heard his license has been revoked!
