+ -1 moreIt's going very badly--or, rather, it's not going at all. Since I paid this company they are pretty much AWOL. I wanted to post a warning to others: best not to hire them. If you do hire them, DON'T pay them any more up front than you absolutely have to, unless you like making endless, futile efforts to try to get them to come back & finish the job.
Description of Work: Professional Painters Plus contracted to make some repairs on my house and to paint it. I paid a third of the money up front and for a week there were many workmen on the job and things seemed to go quickly and well. At the end of that week more money was demanded of me and I paid it, in part because I was overwhelmed by the number of people involved. Since I paid the extra money I have barely had a day and a half worth of work. The contractor doesn't answer his phone, or--if he does answer--either lies (promising to show up & then not showing up) or complains about his financial problems, or both. Some of the work they did will have to be redone (shoddy craftsmanship, cheap, and inappropriate materials) & most of the job is undone--and there's really no sign that they'll be back to finish the work.
