Carlton Jones, owner of Pendulum Home Inspections, has over 15 years experience in the construction industry, and six years as a Louisiana Certified Home Inspector. He is also a member of the most respected professional organization for home inspectors in America, American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI). We made an offer on a home and needed an inspector to come out fairly quickly. I called 3 inspection companies. The first was booked solid for 2 weeks and couldn't meet our required time frame. I left messages with 2 other inspection companies and Carlton Jones (Pendulum) was the first one who returned my call. I initially called him because he was listed on the ASHI website as being ASHI Certified. He took time to explain how a home inspection was conducted and was able to commit to coming out the following week to conduct the inspection; so I confirmed his services before we ended the phone call based on his professionalism and the time he spent talking to me and answering my questions. Because the home has a pool, Carlton suggested having a pool inspector inspect the pool as well. A service he provides is coordinating with the pool inspector and incorporating the inspector's findings into his report. We liked the convenience of this because we are out of town; hence, we asked him to do this for us. On the day of the inspection, we met him and the pool inspector out at the house. Both were prompt, professional and courteous. Carlton was very efficient and took many pictures which were included in his report. The house has 3160 square feet and he spent about 2.5 hours on the inspection. We pointed out things to him and he answered our questions as he went along. Since our last home inspection for a home purchase was over 17 years ago, I can't compare the services provided by Pendulum to any of the other available services; however, we were satisfied with the home inspection performed by Carlton and the way the report was electronically presented and would use him again if needed.
