Brads continual correspondents with me over the telephone has been nothing but professional and courteous. He called to let me know what all the parts would cost before the services were even rendered, so there was no surprises on my bill when it came time to pay at the completion of the job. Not only did Owens Collision and Automotive Service Center do what they said they would do, but they were also able to save me a couple hundred bucks !!! It feels good to know there are still service departments out there that value the customer and are willing to work with them. Now they will always have my business, because they gained my respect and trust.

Unscrupulous, deceitful and borderline criminal are words that come to mind after dealing with OWENS COLLISION for the first and last time.  AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COST.  All you need to do is take a minute to actually READ the very carefully worded contract they want you to sign and you will be able to tell their intent is to do whatever they want with your car and YOU will be responsible for whatever charges they rack up on you. DO NOT SIGN THIS CONTRACT as you will seemingly be signing away all of your rights.  DO NOT SIGN THIS CONTRACT.
My daughters car was brought to Owens after an accident and the FIRST insurance appraiser determined the car was TOTALLED yet Owens partially dismantled the car and claims to have bought and painted parts ( without our or the insurance companies knowledge or approval ) when I challenged them on it they stopped talking to me and would not even provide me with a dollar amount to get the vehicle released. Their TRUE colors were beginning to show.
It seems their business model is to quickly dismantle your car upon arrival so they can tie it up and start racking up charges they expect your insurance company or ultimately YOU to pay ... I personally refuse to be ripped off and have turned the matter over to my attorney to handle.  Looks like we will be filing suit and I will also be filing complaints with the Attorney General and Insurance Commissioner's office shortly.
Do your homework ... a quick internet search will reveal a host of legitimate complaints against Owens Collision.
There are a lot of other good reputable body shops in our area ... take my advise STEER CLEAR OF OWENS COLLISION and bring your car almost anywhere else, you'll be much better off. 

I took my son's car to Owens but then went back 1 hour later to pick it up as I had changed my mind. Owens wanted $125 before he would give my car back "Because we ordered parts ". I was not happy, but let him keep the car and do the repairs. He took 22 days to complete the repairs. The list of repair items did not include any parts it was all labor and paint.

Brought car in and was told it should take approximately one week to do the repairs. Called several times to check on car and did not receive return calls back consistently. Some times calls were returned, other times they were not. They did do a good job of resisting used parts or substandard parts desired by insurance company of person who hit my car. I expect such advocacy, especially where discussed on the front end as in this case. Have a record of the insurance company promptly responding to all communications. Nonetheless, Owen's took over 40 days to complete the job. Upon calling them already frustrated one of the last times to determine if car was ready, they informed me it would be complete the following week. They would only accept cashier's check, would not accept the endorsed over insurance check, and refused to return the car on the basis of either a fully valid credit card payment or endorsed over insurance checks. Because I had a business trip out of state, I had to go another week with a rental car that the insurance company would not pay for. The general manager was rude and implied that we were trying to set the store up to get the car and then cancel the credit card payment. Far too difficult doing business with this shop. It apparently has had problems with other customers not being pleased and cancelling payment through credit cards. I have never had such difficulty "paying" an automotive service business and my family owned several dealerships. It is a shame because the technician did an OK job, even though the trunk interior was not adequately put back together, which I had to do myself.

The truck has run great since. The team at Owens are always professional, thorough and timely. They keep me informed about the repairs necessary and the cost before proceeding. Terry makes sure to explain all the work, going so far as to ask if I wanted to come by and look at the worn out parts. Every experience I have had with them has been great.
