Description of Work: After contacting NewBath and setting up an appointment for an estimate the salesman showed up at home promptly at 2:00 pm. He asked appropriate questions concerning the placement of a tub liner for my bathtub. He discussed options available and gave me his sales pitch. He wrote up an estimate for a tubliner and surround. He then proceeded to figure up a written estimate for me. He gave me several "discounts" from being a member of Sam's to saying a code verse (which I was given by someone at NewBath when I confirmed my appointment). After all that and he gave me my written estimate he waited for me to give hime my decision. Now - this estimate started out being $5295.00 and after discounts the final price was $3996.00. As you see this is a significant savings - which I was pleased with. However, when I explained to the salesman that I needed to think this large of a purchase over - the salesman informed me that this was a one day option. This meant that all of the discounts would be voided after to day. He then presented me with a paper of presentation stating that I would decline all discounts after the presentation was over if I did not sign and give a deposit today. As I said before, I was very interested in using his company to do my install until I felt pressured to sign and seal a deal in a very short amount of time without being able to think about it. I explained to the salesman that if my employer gave an estimate it was good for at least 3 months even if our fees go up we do the right thing and honor the estimate they were given. This gives our patients time to think over the procedures and make an informed decision. We do not tell someone "sorry the estimate was only good for one day". We would never have anyone come back for work if that were the case. So, this is what I would tell anyone who is considering using NewBath - realize that they use the pressure tactic to force their customers to give them an answer at that time of the presentation. I was VERY disappointed in this as I think they probably have a good product just a "take it or leave it" sales technique.
