This service was noteworthy because we were out of town and our kids found the kitchen ceiling damaged from water coming down. Mitch came out, identified and fixed the problem although he knew there would be no one there to pay him. I called him late to get info for an insurance claim and he gave a full description. Additional comment: I have used Neighborhood n five difeent houses ove about 12 years and have never had even the mildest complaint.

Arrived morning after being called. Worked about two hours. This unit is 34 years old. I think most service providers would have told me I needed a new one. Mitch figured he could squeeze a little more life out of it, and likely postpone the replacement until a cooler time of the year. Certainly few would have bothered to work on those terminals to keep an ancient piece of equ8poment running,

They were ready to start two days after I accepted the estimate, but readily put it off for three weeks because of conflicts in our schedule. They finished the job in two days instead of three. They also put in additional attic flooring and made a minor repair on my attic stairway. I didn't ask for these until they day they arrived, and nobody even suggested I pay additional. They didn't try to sell me a high-markup modern thermostat, which to me indicates somebody is more interested in doing what I need than in enhancing his revenue.
The new unit kicked off the next day, and they were out that afternoon to look at it. They blew out the drain again, but then asked the right question :"Why is this happening?" They checked the whole drain line and found a plugged trap leaking, They cleared it and reglued the fitting. About two hours work, and no hint of additional charge.
The next day it kicked off again. I again found the pan full and I found water dripping into it from a new fitting. This time two guys came out within a couple of hours. They spent over an hour tracing out my entire attic drainage and venting system, and finally found a section of a vertical roof vent that was plugged solid, building up a water level and forcing it out at the fitting I saw dripping. They spent two hours, one guy up on the roof and the other in the attic, trying rods, pressure, bleach and everything else. They finally got it unplugged after everything but a prayer meeting.
Again,no extra charge. Now bear in mind this was a pre-existing condition in my piping, a plumbing problem that was in no way related to their air conditioning work. Neighborhood has replaced about four systems for me in various houses over the past fifteen years plus more repairs and service calls than I can remember. They have always exhibited this remarkable attitude of "Get the whole job done no matter what it takes." I trust them implicitly and would not dream of using anybody else.
