The initial repair was quick and successful. The work was supposed to be warranted for 2 years. Now almost 2 years later the work requires adjustment and I have called and emailed for over a month but the company refuses to schedule the warranty repairs.

This was a terrible experience and what ultimately prompted me to join Angie's List before moving forward with any large projects. We hired NFR to come to level and resurface our patio. I should have know from the first day when he appeared almost an hour late for our 8 or 9 am (I can't recall exactly) appointment. He had no one scheduled before me and after running late (for no apparent reason) didn't have the decency to call and let me know when to expect him. I had to call the office several times to see if they were coming. Once the bid was made and contract complete (should have known better but just thought he was behind for some reason), his workers showed at my house and did a completely sloppy job on resurfacing and leveling. My neighbors also reported a lot of standing around. The leveling was not actually level. The concrete resurfacing had spilled over the edges of the patio and looked liked spilled paint. There were marks and prints on the concrete surface and it was not smooth. On top of that, they concreted over my patio post bolts, so if they ever needed to be moved, we would have had to chip the concrete. They also set and spilled my tiki torches on my patio furniture cushions, ruining the cushions.  When we called Darren regarding these issues, he came over and put a footprint in the concrete swearing his guys would smooth it out and offering to paint. He did offer to reduce the price for the patio cushions. Nevertheless, the guys returned and did not smooth out the large footprint or any other marks. They basically painted over everything with what we later found out to be an indoor garage paint. They removed the concrete from the posts and kindly left it, along with their cigarette butts, in our yard. In addition, you could see streaks of paint along our driveway where I am assuming they decided to clean their tools.  I partially blame myself for not asking more questions about the paint. However, I stupidly assumed they knew what they were doing and would use the proper materials. The paint job was terrible and the paint was even worse, Within 1 month, the paint started to chip and crack. All they offered to do was provide us with more paint or repaint. At this point, we did not want his guys back at our house. After buying the paint, we quickly learned from reading the directions that it was not meant for outdoor patios and should not have been applied in cold weather. IT WAS DECEMBER when they applied it and my neighbor confirmed it was a very cold day. We recently sold our house to my cousin; however, we had to explain to the issues we had and now the buyer will have to deal with the YES, returning cracks, and chipping paint. It looks terrible and was an absolute nightmare to deal with. Under no circumstances would I recommend this company.

I called Darren with National Foundation and Repair to give me a quote on raising the walkway next to my pool. In his contract it states 50% due to start the work and 50% due upon completion. They came out drilled holes in my concrete and pumped some mud in then charged the balance on my credit card. I call asked was he done, he had to call his crew to find out what was going on. it took him basically a month to come back out and fill in with mud. At this time they left again and the slab was still the same. He said he would be out there to see what was going on. He never came. Then he tells me he had to get the slab to pop. They never came back. I finally tell him just give me my money back. He tells me he is going to have to go to the office and figure things out. He finally answers my calls and first he tell me he is going to give me $500. of the $900 back I told him that is not going to work, he then decides to give me $700. back. I am tired of fighting and waiting so I agree. The issue is he gave me an estimate to do a job, I approved the estimate. The quoted work was never done but he still charged me something. If what he quoted me didn't work why should I have to pay for anything, Darren never held up to his end of the contract. If mudjacking wasn't going to work give me another quote or option.

They did have to come out twice to get it right. The first time the job was done it looked like a child came and patched the work. I was very disappointed. BUT, I will say, after getting in touch with Derek he did make things right. My driveway looks very nice now. I realize people do not take pride in their work like they use to but it is up to the owner to make it right. I would refer a company more for making right what went wrong. Didn't stay to watch. However, inspected the finished job. Everything was clean and the objects moved were put back in place.

The cracks in the brick as well as the sheetrock cracks in the ceiling closed up completely once the house was leveled. The crew did an excellent job of cleaning up and putting our yard back into pre foundation repair condition.

I liked them. The price was very reasonable compared to everyone else. They did their best to get the house leveled. They used extra jacks which they did not charge me for.

Do NOT use National Foundation Repair out of Baton Rouge Derek Berthelot (Owner)
(and claim they have other offices) if you care about service after you pay these people...
They will ignore your calls (called 5 times) if you have an issue with the work they performed once paid in full. Take this as a WARNING!

During inspection on our new home, the inspector identified a possible problem with the foundation due to some minor cracking on the walls. He recommended we contact National Foundation.
They were contacted by our agent, came to our house and shot the elevations on the house - free of charge. We learned the house has sunk 2 inches in the back section of the house. The work was estimated at $3200 by Derrick. He thoroughly explained the work needed and answered all of our questions. We accepted the proposal and put the 50% down.
The work was scheduled for a week before our anticipated move-in. We contacted Derrick the Friday before work was performed and was advised we did not have to be at the house until 2:30pm, at which time he needed to come into the house to again shoot elevations as the house was raised. We arrived at the house well before 2pm.
The crew were working when we arrived. They were friendly, hardworking and definitely knew what they were doing. Derrick did not arrive at 2:30. We called him at 3:30 and was advised he would be there are 4:30pm. The crew were finished with all the advance work at 5pm and were awaiting his arrival. We again called Derrick at 6:15 and he said he was almost there. Explained to Derrick that we were unhappy that he did not communicate with us. Had he called to communicate delays, we could have done something beside sit in an empty house for 4 hours. We received numerous and quot;I'm sorryand quot;.
The crew themselves deserve an A+ right across the board. Communications from the Supervisor were poor at point of services.
