After living with a landscape that had been neglected for years—old camellias smothered by cast-iron plants, hidden raised beds turned to muck, and trees in dire need of pruning—I realized that we needed professional help. I called Landscape Baton Rouge, because of the consistently great internet reviews, crossing my fingers that the “landscape” in their title really meant something more than just great lawn service. Barron came over with his clipboard (and his cool hat) and, walking through the property with me, was able to see the potential in our old, tired yard. He created a detailed, affordable plan that was precise in its price points and options yet flexible, allowing us room to change course if we needed to…and we did change things, several times. Barron was a joy to work with—he is patient, he listens, and he brings a wide range of expertise in horticulture, design, and… just plain know-how. And his team is terrific. These guys not only are disciplined but also enjoy what they do. They show up early in the day, work hard, and leave late. This company is passionate about the quality of its work. Now, our trees have room to breathe, and those old camellias are blooming their hearts out. Thanks to Barron, we have a new paved walkway that winds its way along restored, lush raised beds, and even a cool veggie cedar raised bed behind the shed—an area that used to be just a muddy wasteland. Because of Barron and his team, our old yard is now a garden.

went well after a bit of struggle with scheduling

this has been a GIANT mistake - and it is as much ANGIE's LIST error as it has been the provider. we have been trying to schedule a time but then Baton Rouge flooded and the communications between Angies list and the provider has been terrible.

We were very pleased with the work completed. They stayed in communication through the whole process. The team that completed the task worked diligently and completed the job in a timely manner. They were very professional.

We were able to get an appointment within days of purchase, and Barron showed up right on time, despite impending bad weather. He did a thorough evaluation of our property and answered all of our questions and concerns. He also gave us several options in different price ranges, which was nice. He was even gave us a few gardening tips as he went through each garden bed with us, as to how we can better maintain what we have existing. He was very professional and seemed to know a lot about his field. We feel we definitely got our money's worth on the evaluation and are considering using this company for additional landscaping services.

The team did a great job completing a full day's work timely and at a fair price. I asked to have the work completed before we were having some guests in town, and they were able to accommodate. They also hauled away the trimmings, which was great because we weren't left with a front yard full of tree limbs and leaves.

Fantastic. I previously posted a poor review because I thought that Landscape BR had ignored the three (3) dates I had selected. That review prompted Barron (the owner) to call me, to discuss what had happened and to, as he out it, "Make it right" Believe me his work was excellent. I now am going to discuss a regular monthly contract with him.
