He is very professional in handling it, and he looked at where we could get the cheapest mortgage rate. He was referred to us by a realtor, and he helped us through the closing, and he helped us getting the mortgage at a better rate. His price is competitive.

Good thing he's not a gambler. After being told we would 95% likely close on our house on a Friday, April 20th and had a 4:30 p.m. scheduled appointment, our buyer's lender, Steven Schiele sent me an email with purchase agreement extension. My husband and I called him to let him know we'd still like to close if the RD paperwork came in --as he stated he was waiting on paperwork from Rural Development office. He said, "Okay, I'll call you as soon as I get it." In the meantime, my lender called to check on the paperwork, as we were scheduled to close on the house we were purchasing for Monday, April 23rd. He told our lender that he did receive the package. He did not call us as he said he would. He also went on to tell my lender that "if they really want to close he can try, but now the lawyer is [suddenly] leaving at 3pm." If found this very odd considering the lawyer was scheduled to do our closing at 4:30 pm. I called him and told him we could leave immediately to close. He said he would find out. Instead of calling back, he sent an email saying we couldn't close because the title company is booked. Even better, considering that supposedly that was booked too. While reading the email my phone rang. It was Mr. Schiele to say he needs to know what time we want to close on Monday to get it scheduled. I said that was ridiculous because the Title company was supposed to already be booked. He said well when I sent you the purchase agreement extension it was my way of letting you know we weren't closing. That contradicted the phone call my husband and I had with him before signing the extension, when he stated he would call us as soon as he got the package (which he didn't, we called him). I said wow. Now the next part is where it gets very interesting. His response (in a very cocky unfriendly manner). "And there's nothing you can do about it, GOT IT?!?" I said, "Oh I certainly got it." People in the service industry talk like this? Every one you speak to is a potential customer who connects with many other potential customers. And now we have this thing, called the internet and social media. So then you know the rest of the story when it comes to home closings, the trickle down effect happened and it pushed back multiple closings. Now don't get me wrong, I know closings don't always happen on the scheduled date. But I don't expect to be verbally ridiculed like that either in the event that it changes.
