Mortgage Companies
When I visited this company, I applied for a reverse mortgage with female employee. She repeatedly told me that the finance charges are 2% of the cost of the appraisal of my house which was about 210 thousand.
When I went with a friend to sign the contract, I was chocked when I saw that GMFS charged me over ten thousand dollars instead of the more or less 4 thousand. I had to sign the contract because I was having problems paying my mortgage bills.
When I claimed the reimbursement of the 6 thousand dollars, the office manager refund me only 1700 dollars.
I am a old fashion man who believes in ethics and honor. My agreement with their employee was verbal and I trusted her promise but felt betrayed after I have been charged over ten thousand dollars.
I will NEVER recommend this company to any of my friends or family.
