I would like to start out saying that my husband and I are first time homebuyers. Unfortunately we were very naive to think that general contractors and business owners just flat out do good business. We had no idea just how wrong we could be. Jeff Williams and Tony Grubbs are not only partners that own East Baton Rouge Glass, they also have a contracting business on the side where they do everything from electrical work to installing skylights. The work that we had done was supposed to only take 2 weeks. We wanted our home to be completed before we moved in. On moving day, there were large tools left in the living room, boxes of tile all over the master bedroom, our toilet was leaking so bad that it was dripping through the floor and down the back corner of the home, there was no shower door, and part of the crown molding was missing in the guest bedroom. Of course my husband called Jeff Williams to let him know what was going on. Jeff said that he would be there by 10 am to repair everything because the movers were going to be there with the truck at 11 am. He never showed up. He showed up around 1 pm while we had movers and furniture delivery trucks in our yard. He did such a terrible job with the crown molding that I still want to cry when I think about it. At one point, I walked in to see Jeff Williams and his partner, Tony Grubbs, standing on top of my refinished 1950's teacher's desk to install the crown molding. They scratched the top of it so badly that we have to sand it down and refinish it. My husband made a rookie mistake of paying him in full before we actually did a walkthrough to make sure everything was properly done because we thought we could trust him. We tried calling for 2 weeks with no response. Finally, we got in touch with Tony Grubbs to install our shower door. He installed it and it was leaking so badly that we had to get him to come back out to fix it. He stood us up twice before he finally showed up to repair it. A week later our television was plugged into one of the outlets that were repaired by Jeff Williams, and it fried so bad that our whole bedroom was filled with smoke. We have tried calling Jeff Williams so many times and he has not returned our calls once. I spoke with Tony Grubbs to let him know about our electrical problems and he said that he would call Jeff for us. He said that he told Jeff to call us back and that Jeff told him that he would call us. We have not heard from Jeff still. It's been a nightmare dealing with this group. Please save your sanity and deal with a different business. We basically feel like we were robbed. We saved up for 2 years to pay for this type of remodel. Some other things I should mention are that the paint job in the bathroom that was repair was awful. There were spots around fixtures completely left undone. Also, our bathroom is not level where the pier was supposed to be fixed. I'm happy to answer any questions regarding this service provider. UPDATE***Our electrical in our home will now have to be repaired for $10,000 due to the lies that these guys told us.
Description of Work: Lifting home to repair the foundation due to a crooked pier, remodeled our master bathroom shower, repaired faulty electrical outlets to be up to code, built a closet in our guest bedroom
