On our next scheduled visit day for Easley, we came home and the pool had not been touched. I called to find out that my service had been cancelled. I had already been billed that morning over the phone and this wasn't mentioned. Without any warning, we were on our own. I was told this was because I didn't use Easley to replace my pool equipment. Though I had spoken to them for an estimate and about other matters, I had never been warned that this would happen.
I was told that it was very difficult to clean the pool while the equipment was broken. I offered to pay extra to cover the additional work during this time. I also apologized and tried to explain that I assumed that businesses gave their best estimates on the first contact and that I thought it would have been rude to put businesses into a direct bidding war against each other.
None of this make any difference. My service was still cancelled. I consider this very punitive and unprofessional.
"We are sorry [member name removed] is upset that we dropped her. She is a nice lady, but believe me when I say it was in her best interest as well as ours. We are a full service pool repair company and still have many of our original customers since we began the business almost 40 years ago. They have remained faithful because we are honest and do not sell them equipment they don’t need. For several months [member name removed] told [member name removed] she needed a new pump and filter. She indicated she didn’t have the money at that time. Mindful of what she stated her financial situation to be, he quoted her the price of a good, reasonably-priced, pump and filter. Then, around the first part of April, when they came out to the pool, [member name removed] found she had bought not just a high end pump and filter, but a salt system and other very expensive equipment and had it installed. Here’s the problem. Although we sell and repair the new system she had installed (it is an excellent system) it is very expensive and maintaining the warranty is important. We warranty what we install and I’m sure the company that installed the system does the same. But, if for some reason it should require maintenance while under warranty, it would be too easy to blame the “other guy” (us) for what went wrong and not honor the warranty. Our best recommendation to [member name removed] is to have the company that installed the equipment to maintain the pool as well to keep the warranty valid. PS she was only charged for March service. None of April’s."
1. The problem may be solved, which is the good part.
2. Price too high and not quite professional enough.
The Company sent a repairman to my house while I was not home. That was okay, since he called and I gave him the okay to check it out. He talked to my yard man and made what seemed to be a small repair. He said, "I don't get wet," he was just the repair assistant and not the boss.
Boss showed up and what made me a little unhappy was he left his truck blocking my driveway entrance. I live on a very busy street and I must have the driveway clear because it can get dangerous to have cars waiting to turn. He was asked to move by the yard guy, but he left it his car there for 15 minutes.
The problem may be solved, but it seems high to charge $150 for a brief visit and epoxy of the skimmer basket crack.
I'll pay it, because I didn't talk to him about it. Of course, he didn't call me about the price, either.
But, I won't call back.
He stabilized the pool water.
I needed my pool liner replaced and contacted Easley Pool Service for a quote. They responded quickly and were hundreds less than other bids I had received. I decided to let them do the work and ordered my liner. When the liner arrived, they scheduled me quickly and began the work. Once the old liner was removed, it was obvious I needed extra work done to the concrete walls and floor. They didn't have enough supplies on hand to finish the job and were unable to get more on a Saturday. So between waiting on supplies, being delayed by rain, and waiting for the pool to dry enough to apply concrete, the entire project took a full week to complete. They worked on my pool 3 of the 7 days, when it normally would have been completed in two. There were extra charges for the additional concrete work which is understandable, as only minor patching is included in the price. I felt the additional amount charged was fair for the work performed.
The workers that completed the job were excellent. They were polite, hard working, and kept me informed each step of the process. They took the time to finish the job correctly and took pride in their work. I was able to monitor their activities when I wasn't home through home security cameras, and always found them working hard to complete the project.
I was extremely satisfied with the project, and the new liner looks great and fits perfectly. It would have been nice to have it done in a shorter amount of time, but the delay was specific to my situation and not the normal procedure. I would definitely use them again and recommend them for your pool liner needs. You won’t be disappointed.
I will hire this company again.
He worked for at least two hours to make sure that the pool was completely clean.
After he finished, he provided a detailed receipt.
Overall I will call on Easley pools for any further work that needs to be done on my pools.
