He skip stayed with $13000 of my money. He was not a licensed contractor. A friend of mine was a manager in one of the Papa John’s. He put up a Papa John’s for them. Therefore, I had rather assumed that with him doing Papa John’s, what I did was I went and looked at a house that he built in Portland. He said it was one of the houses he had built. I went in and looked at the inside of the house. I came to know years later; about a year and a half later after my house was done and when we had all the problems with the brand new roof. We had to tear the roof down and reframe it because the framework was all off. He did not pay the lumber company. He did not pay the sub-contractors. A friend of his has the house. He did not even build that house. I guess I should have checked a little bit further; his licence and stuff like that. He showed me a piece of paper, which said he was. However, I guess all of it was fake. When one of us really checked in to it after the facts, he was not. He provided me with a piece of paper that showed he had work-cum-charts, which was probably fake too. I would not use his services again in the future.
