"Thanks for letting us take care of your truck. I hope it is working perfectly. I'm sorry to see you felt we perhaps took too long on the repair and we were not as professional as we could have been. Honestly, I do not recall the details about your specific vehicle. I do know that during that week, we were quite busy, and to compromise service further, I was planning a trip away from the office for a week the following week. (That was the first time I had done that, with the shop open.) I spent much of my time that week planning for a smooth running shop the next week, making sure we accomplished as much as possible before I left. I know you came from a long way to use our services. I hope the value and quality of our work make up for our short comings. As I look at your repair order, I can see it was not filled out correctly by my replacement manager. And, although the repair order doesn't mention it, remember you do have a lifetime 50% warranty, after the 100% warranty expires. I do not think you will find any kind of lifetime warranty offered by any other shop. No one wants to have to rebuild a transmission and nothing lasts forever. But should you ever need it done again, remember I own half of it as long as you own the vehicle. Thank you very much for the review."
"Thanks for letting us take care of your vehicle. And, for the kind review. Alan Shore"
"Thanks for letting us take care of your van, again. You're obviously taking good care of it. It's in great condition."
"Hi Mr. [Member name], Thanks for trusting us to take care of your Pathfinder. That Nissan truck platform is causing lots of problems. I hope yours never has this problem again. But, if it does, you have the warranty that never ends. Thanks again. Alan Shore"
"Thank you for letting CAPS Transmission take care of your vehicle. I appreciate your review and hope for more good customers like you. Good driving to you. Alan Shore"
"Thanks for the review. But, although you did have an expensive transmission, and it probably felt like $10,000, the invoice was about $4,300. The CVT transmissions are horribly high. I just wish we could get parts for them instead of having to buy the dealer units. Saturn definitely left a bad memory behind for the VUE owners. Thanks again."
Great experience!! Definitely will have my 2000 corvette transmission serviced as well.
"Thank you very much letting us take care of your Escalade. You're doing a good job caring for your vehicle. Its always nicer to work on well kept vehicles. I know the work we did was more than you were expecting, but I appreciate your trust in us. I always feel a little bit 'salesman-ish' when I recommend extra repairs. I believe what we did was necessary and I thank you again for your trust. Alan Shore"
"Thanks for taking the time to write a positive note. And, like all my customers, thank you very much for letting CAPS take care of your car. I appreciate every customer, I know you have a choice. I am the worst salesperson you will ever meet. So, I hope my sincere attempt to take make you feel appreciated and to deliver quality repairs with good value has been perceived. And, remember your warranty never ends."
"Thank you for a nice review. But, ... Hmmm. Whenever I respond to a review, I like to look up the repair order to see what work was done. I can then respond relevantly and address the details. I cannot find a repair order for this person. Strangely, I do remember someone with this last name, so I hope I am addressing the correct person. First, thank you for coming in and letting us take care of your problem. (A 2010 Ford truck??) Secondly, you were right to take care of this problem. This transmission costs about $4,000.00 to rebuild and Ford has had a few problems with it. Correcting a leak is definitely prudent. The easiest way to ruin a transmission is to run it low on fluids. Good for you. Thank you again, and have a nice Summer! Alan Shore"
"Thank you {removed member name}., I appreciate your friendly words. I wish we could have solved the engine problem for you. I know your car is important to you. I hope a good solution opens up for you. Alan Shore"
"Hello (member name), Thanks for coming in and letting us service your Cadillac. It is a beautiful car. Not a lot of people actually pay much attention to their transmission. With the quality of cars in general, many people only think about maintenance after a problem occurs. I am always amazed at how often I here of engine failures. I've driven for over 35 years and have never had an engine failure. But, I have always changed my motor oils regularly. But, to be fair, the only time I think about my air conditioner is when it is not working well. Thank you for writing a friendly review and I hope you had a blessed Easter. Easter is such a wonderful time in my church. I hope it is for you too. Alan Shore"
"[member name removed], Thank you for the kind words. And thank you for allowing CAPS to repair your vehicle. I wish what had happened to you at the dealership was a new story for us, but we've seen it many times. At practically all the dealerships. Strangely, I have found dealerships to be the most untrustworthy of repairs shops. It shouldn't be that way. My best advice to any customer for repairs is to find an experienced shop and let them get to know your vehicles. Franchises and dealerships are difficult and usually expensive just to get an opinion. Even if we don't repair every problem on a vehicle, I appreciate when any of our customers ask for an opinion. My crew is very good at pointing customers in the right direction. Thanks again, Alan Shore"
"Most of our repairs are not major jobs. Thanks for posting a review and I'm glad you liked CAPS. Alan Shore"
"Thanks for posting. I'm glad you were satisfied, and thanks for coming to CAPS Transmission Alan Shore"
"Oops. I don't know how I missed responding to this review. Thank you for letting us take care of the Jeep and for writing nice things about CAPS Transmission. I am very proud of my shop and love responding to reviews, both good and bad. I like responding to good reviews for obvious reasons. But, also to say thanks to any customer for allowing CAPS Transmission to serve them. I like responding to bad reviews because I want an opportunity to explain any unresolved issues. (I try very hard to satisfy every customer and if someone is not satisfied, it probably has more to do with my communication skills (as a man) than with our actual work. Oops, I just made a speech. Sorry to put you through that. Thanks again."
"Member, Thank you for your review. Regarding the valve body issue, unless we diagnose or discover a faulty valve body, the valve body is not replaced. There are updates we do to most valve bodies and your valve body was one of these. However, in the course of our test drive and diagnosis we were not aware the valve body had been replaced with a different valve body. There are dozens of valve bodies which would 'fit' in your transmission, we assumed your valve body was the original valve body. Therefore we concluded the problem with the transmission was normal wear and tear, and that the overhaul would solve all the problems. It wasn't until we got the transmission 100%, that we realized the valve body wasn't functioning normally. We rarely replace this part in this particular transmission and we had no reason to think otherwise, until after the rebuild. We strive very hard to control costs for our customers. When we repair a vehicle, I do not want to replace healthy parts. Doing so is wasteful and can add greatly to the costs for my customers. The costs of that valve body was about $300.00. Were I to replace it in each of these transmissions, the costs would of course be passed on to my customers. This cost was not passed on to you, as we did not detect the problem until after I had quoted you a price. CAPS Transmission does not change a price once we agree on an estimate with a customer. Neither do we take shortcuts on our repairs. My builder is very, very good at his job. No transmission builder, or repair shop is perfect, but our work speaks for itself. We get very few comebacks or problems with our work. Because my builder is so dependable, I have no motivation to replace parts excessively. And as a result I am able to control costs for my customers. The other point I would make, as you pointed out, is that your computer was also bad. Like the valve body, we did not suspect a problem with the computer. We were certain your transmission needed rebuilding and could not foresee a problem at the computer until we got the transmission working normally. The valve body and the computer have everything to do with how your transmission behaves. I suspect the problems with both had a great deal to do with your transmission failing. Thank you for pointing out we did not mark up the costs on the computer. CAPS does not have ridiculous mark ups on parts costs. I know I can, but I choose not to. This is especially true for parts which are not actually a part of the transmission. I know a transmission overhaul is expensive. I appreciate every customer who entrusts me with their vehicle. I feel for my customers and I do strive to keep down their costs, especially when they are faced with such expensive repairs already. Again, thank you very much for your review. I hope what I have written here explains better how we work and how we repaired your truck in particular. Alan Shore"
"Thanks for your kind words, I am glad you were happy with our services. But, yes we do have charge! I appreciate your using CAPS Transmission."
