BAYOU FENCE & DECK

I hired Troy to build a 6 ft privacy fence around my backyard with bronze aluminum panels on the front. It was supposed to take two weeks for the materials to arrive and the work would be started immediately after. I called two weeks later to see when the fence would be started but I could not reach anyone for several days. When Troy called back he told me that he had been on vacation, but that the materials didnt arrive and he would check on the shipment as soon as we got off the phone. He called back and told me that it would be another two weeks and that he would refund my deposit if I wanted to cancel my order. When I told him that I wanted to cancel, he assured me that he would put the check in the mail that day. After a week, I called to see if he had mailed the check but couldnt reach him for two weeks. When he returned my call, he told me that he had been on vacation. He said that he mailed the check but that it must have gotten lost and offered to hand deliver it that day. The check was in my mailbox that evening and I thought the ordeal was fininshed only to get a letter from my bank a couple weeks later stating that the check had been returned for insufficent funds. I called and threated legal action, which he responded to very quickly, and requested a certified check be delivered within three days. I received the check the next day and hired someone else to build the fence.
