Our a/c unit was not working during a time of record high temperatures and humidity. The temperature was over 90 degrees each day (plus an additional 5-10 degrees for the “feels like” temperature due to humidity). BR Air Conditioning & Heating turned out to be the best call we could make. The technicians arrived on time and were very professional. They initially made some repairs to the line but ultimately had to replace the entire line. The owner (Joey Touchet) was very hands-on and accessible when we called after the initial repairs which were completed on that Friday. After testing the system, the technicians determined that the entire line needed to be replaced. However, Mr. Touchet did not leave us hanging when the job was not completed as planned. He sent his workers out with 2 portable units for us to use over the weekend. This was huge for us as the temperature each day was really unbearable. Mr. Touchet was compassionate in understanding how detrimental the heat could be to our health and well-being. In addition, he sent his workers out to complete the job the following Monday which was Memorial Day. If you are dealing with a company that lacks compassion for their clients – you should give BR Air Conditioning a call. The owner is very fair and will not take advantage of you as some companies do. All of the technicians we encountered (Sterling, CJ, Spencer & Darian) were very knowledgeable, polite and professional. Apologies if I forgot anyone’s name because every one of them did an outstanding job. In addition, they did an excellent job at cleaning up afterwards and left no debris inside or outside. I highly recommend this company. They provide excellent service at a fair price along with compassion and integrity. BR Air Conditioning & Heating is the full package!

The man who came identified himself as an electrical engineer, was cordial and seemed to know his stuff. Further along in the visit, however, he made unsolicited, disparaging comments about the ethnicity of one of his competitors, which we found offensive and unprofessional. His bid was WAY higher than others we obtained, anyway. We took our business elsewhere.

From the first contact with Baton Rouge Air Conditioning & Heating , service was professional, timely, informative and detailed. After the installation was completed, a follow-up quality control inspection was done by the same young man I initially met with for info, estimate, details, etc. Great accountability and follow up which I have never seen in this industry before ! Would definitely recommend these professionals.

Over priced and did not use them and I found a installer not on Angie's list that will install my unite for 800.00 plus what I bought them for which was 900.00, for a total out the door price of 1800.00 instead of 5200.00 and saved 2400.00.

Both times that we have had them out. They were punctual, available the day of the call first time and the day after for the service/ maintenance check. The first time we called, our city had just flooded. We had no knowledge of contractors but our A/C quit working. Though we had not flooded, the humidity and heat was horrible and without A/C, we could have had enough humidity for mold to grow on our walls and carpets. They came out as soon as we could meet them, waited more than an hour for someone to arrive. We were held up in traffic while an overturned tanker was uprighted. They replaced the bad part and we were up and running with cool air. We were very pleased. We knew we wanted some cleaning and maintenance done on the unit before winter, we contracted with them. The very next day, the service man came out and completely cleaned both the furnace and the A/C. He cleaned and lubricated and checked it out thoroughly. He did not try to sell us a new system though this one is getting older. He did not tell us that we will be needing a new one soon. So far, we are happy to be doing business with Baton Rouge Air, and apparently many of our neighbors are also. We will continue to call on them in the future.

The very experienced technician was able to repair the compressor. Another company had been out earlier and said the compressor would cost $5000, to replace. I chose to repair at this time, however, I was given a much cheaper price to replace the compressor, when the time comes. Baton Rouge Air came out within the hour. Thank you Al. The air is working great.

First time dealing with Baton Rouge Air Conditioning and Heating and it was very positive experience. My AC had gone down while I was at work (thunderstorms) and because my regular AC guy had left Baton Rouge a few months earlier, I called Baton Rouge Air Conditioning and Heating the following morning. About 15 minutes after I called and made a service request, the technician calls and confirms that he will be at my condo in 30 minutes. He was right on time. After checking the AC system, he found the problem very quickly and took care of it promptly. He also did a full maintenance service of the system and my 11 years old AC unit is running like new. I'm very happy with the service and will definitely use the company in the future.

Originally used by the seller of our home to validate that two AC units were working and in good order. We requested an inspection and repair by an AC tech as part of our home inspection repair request. This company did perform the inspection prior to sale and replaced 12 pounds of coolant combined between the two units. They said otherwise the system was working. I challenge you to find an honest AC tech who won't tell you that you have a leak (which I now know, but at the time of the closing I had no idea - FULLY trusting the inspection by Baton Rouge AC and Heating).
After home sale was completed and we were moved in we had cooling issues with one of the units. Called this same company out since they did the original "repair" and inspection. They added more coolant and recommended replacing coils (at about $2000).
As for the second unit, we began having cooling issues with that unit soon after and now have been told the coils in that unit are bad (by two other AC companies).
My low rating of this company is because they performed an "inspection" which amounted to no more than recharging a leaking systems without ANY recommendations to the seller for true repair of the problems; yet they had no problem telling ME after the home was sold that we needed an expensive repair.
I will not use or recommend this company as I do not trust them.

"My apologies to this homeowner for these unfortunate events. As a service company who has been in business for over 40 years, we have developed procedures that we try to follow. We go on a lot of service calls where the unit is low on refrigerant. If we suspect that the unit has a refrigerant leak we recommend an electronic leak search to find the leak. After the leak is located, we can then discuss with the homeowner his or her options at either repairing or replacing the leaking component. Baton Rouge Air Conditioning and Heating has never been to this house prior to the inspection. We had no history that any refrigerant had ever been added to these systems prior to this initial visit. We don't assume there is a leak, and recommend an expensive leak search, only to find the system was just low on refrigerant. If our procedures were to recommend a leak search, charge the customer over $100 for the leak search, but ultimately find no leaks, we would get negative reviews for charging people for a leak search they did not need!!"

The problem began weeks ago. I called the a/c service I had used for many years. The technician blew out the line (below the drain area where it was stopped up). When that didn't work, I called them back. The same tech. told me I would have to get a plumber. I paid a plumber to come out and put in a new drain line. That didn't work, same tech. came back and told me I needed a plumber to snake out the lines. I paid another plumber to come do that. He said wasn't necessary to snake out the line, that the problem was at the drain, just as the other plumber said and what appeared logical to me. After three visits by the original technician, the cost of two plumbers and emptying the overflow pan a couple of times a day for a few weeks, I called BR Heating and Air (recommended by the last plumber). An extremely professional and nice serviceman came at exactly the time promised (same day I called). He fixed the problem at the source of the drain. He was at my house less than thirty minutes, problem fixed, very reasonable fee!
This will definitely be my regular A/C service and I will be recommending them anytime I have the opportunity.
