    Jerry is a very nice guy. He seems to really like what he does, but the quality of the work is where things go down hill. The job was supposed to take 4 to 5 days. He and his guys (both are son in-laws from what I recall) would show up on time but always be in a hurry to leave by 2 or 3pm....

They cleaned up all the debris that had been cut from the trees, it was a two day job, and the last day was the owner’s Birthday, but that didn’t cause them to take any shortcuts, I was extremely happy with the job they did, the crew was friendly and knew exactly what to so. If you have any tree work, I would highly recommend Climb High Tree Service, I’m for sure one happy customer!! "

Yes, you can limewash surfaces other than brick. Plaster, stone, stucco, and concrete can all also be limewashed. Any porous surface that will absorb the wash is a good candidate for limewash, although it won’t help much with waterproofing. If you choose to limewash over paint, you’ll need to prep before applying it to avoid a powdery, chalky finish. Shiny surfaces like metal or glass can’t absorb limewash, so it’s not suited for these.

Wood stains last anywhere from two to five years, depending on exposure to the elements, your local climate, the type of stain, and the surface it’s on. For instance, vertical surfaces last longer than horizontal surfaces. Some types of woods, like dense hardwoods, will require a recoat yearly, as they are too dense for the stain to absorb. Wood stain is not flammable after it dries. The solvent in wood stain is what causes the liquid form to be highly flammable, but the stain drying process involves the solvents dissolving, which leaves behind a non-flammable product on your wood project. Wood stain is, however, flammable before you apply it, so you should always store partially full cans and used wood stain rags away from sources of heat and open flames.
