"I recently hired CAS construction to apply traditional stucco to my home, and I couldn?t be happier with the results. From start to finish, their team was professional, reliable, and clearly experienced in their craft. They took the time to explain the entire process, answered all my questions, and made sure I felt comfortable with each step. The crew arrived on time every day, kept the worksite clean, and worked efficiently without cutting corners. The quality of the stucco work is excellent smooth, even, and exactly the look I was hoping for. You can tell they pay close attention to detail and truly care about their workmanship. Several neighbors have already complimented the finished look! I highly recommend CAS construction to anyone looking for quality traditional stucco work done right. They exceeded my expectations, and I wouldn?t hesitate to hire them again."

Basement Wizard employees were on time and very friendly. Since these employees were not involved in the original inspection and job estimate I showed them the two areas that needed to be repaired and described the problem.  I also pointed out how important it would be to control the dust which I knew would be created during the repair.  I was assured that the area would be enclosed and air cleaners would be used to control the dust.  Upon completion of the repair I was shocked to find that my entire basement was filled with a dust cloud.  Everything in the basement was covered in a layer of fine powder.  I contacted the original estimator (employee) who offered to have the crew return and clean my basement.  I told him that I had no confidence that they would perform an adequate job and I would perform the cleanup myself.  A couple of weeks later after a heavy rain event one of the "repaired" cracks leaked just as it did before the repair.  A second crew (which included a foreman) was dispatched to preform a second repair attempt.  The second crew did a much more professional job and their repair appears to have stopped the leak so far.  My disappointment with Basement Wizard is not with the fact that it took two attempts to complete the repair.  My issue is that I was assured by the original estimator and the repair crew that they would control the dirt and dust during the repair process.  They failed in this promise and I spend many hours cleaning up after them.

Stucco questions, answered by experts

The cost to replace the chimney crown or top is about $1,550 on average. The range varies widely depending on the size of the chimney, the materials used, accessibility, and the extent of the damage. If you suspect a problem with your chimney top, call a professional masonry contractor for an inspection.

All of the components of stucco are non-combustible, so the siding material won’t ignite or spread fire to the interior of your home. However, it also expands and contracts with changes in temperature, so it will crack from long exposure to heat. Eventually, fire will spread through those cracks. Still, stucco is one of the best siding materials for fire protection and can keep you and your family safe for an hour, on average.

Quikrete will set without mixing. The process of pouring dry concrete into your concrete form and then adding water is called dry pouring. While this method makes pouring concrete simpler and easier, it reduces its strength and durability. It can be a viable option for small, decorative concrete pavers for walkways or for setting fence posts, but it’s not ideal for pouring slabs that will bear any significant amount of weight.

You can use small bits that are up to 3/8 inch in diameter, or larger bits that are 1/2 inch or more in diameter. Make sure the bits you use are coated with carbide or diamond; this information is usually visible on the package. You can also use hole saw bits to drill into stucco.

Yes, using natural additives and methods that lower impact.
