BC ELECTRIC

Our circuit breaker had issues, so BC Electric said they would replace it. I was instructed to wait 3-4 weeks for them to apply for the condo permit and get the materials; I asked again and was told to wait again, and now I've asked what the delay is, and received no response. When the circuit was first looked at and some adjustments were made, BC was paid on time, Whether or not the company wanted to provide services or not, I would have appreciated a heads-up ahead of time to go ahead and find another electrician, since they literally ghosted me after promising they were doing a job. I don't know what's so horrible about my home, my money, or whatever caused this lack of responsiveness/professionalism/respect for a paying, relying-on-you client. So, it's been 2-3 months now, no new circuit breaker, a giant cable runs from the laundry to the kitchen outlets, still. I messaged them again last week and no reply at all. I wouldn't waste your time.

He arrived when he said he would, got the ceiling fan up, and charged me an hourly rate.

We had a service upgrade and panel upgrade done 10 years ago shortly after we bought our house.  The company that originally performed the work is no longer in business, so when I had an issue with an RV plug that was installed at the same time as the panel change, I called Bill Clark of BC Electric to change the plug from 220 volts to 110 volts.  He noticed at the time that the persons who performed the original panel change had not had the work inspected at the time it was done.  I called the electrical inspector for our county to have the work inspected now.  The inspector noted some deficiencies in the installation.  I then called Bill back to correct these deficiencies.  Bill was great to work with, both in this situation and with the RV plug.  He arrived when he said he would be here and went right to work correcting the problems.  It took just a couple of hours and everything was done, and at a very reasonable price.  I would call Bill again if I need electrical service.  He is very knowledgeable, and is willing to explain what he is doing and why.

It went great. He was there promptly and got right to the problem. Fixed everything quickly. Very courteous and professional.

Everything went great!  This was not a simple case of changing the outlets and bathroom lights. The wiring behind an old full wall mirror was a mess that no one knew about until I took the old mirror down. The wires were going everywhere and there were fire hazards present. Bill was able to figure everything out in a way that would work safely and look good. He had to make several trips back to work with the dry wall installer and each time he showed up right on time. The fireplace lights were more straightforward and didn't take much time at all.

He called the morning the service was scheduled to pin down the details. He arrived on time, provided LED light bulbs, and had the new porch light connected in a jiffy.

We had a great experience. The work was completed quickly and efficiently. He worked very well with the plumber, which ran the gas line to the stove. He was also able to recommend strategies for completing other electrical work to be done in the future. I will definitely use him again in the future!

Provider was prompt in answering phone to discuss the work I needed. He was professional and polite. Provider made arrangments to come the same day to give an estimate. He was thorough, knowledgeable and friendly as he went through my home to provide an estimate. The price was a little high for the amount of work I needed, but the provider did compromise and we both came to an agreement on the price. I was impressed with this on the provider;'s part. I greatly appreciated his willingness to do this.
Electrician was due to come Wednesday 1/22, but the weather was extremly cold. So the provider promptly called to informed me the electrician would not be able to make it due to a water leak with busted pipes. I told the provider that was fine. I was use to frozen/leaing pipes as I lived in an old house during my childhood. The appointment was rescheduled for Saturday 1/ 25. Once again the weather was bad with several inches of snow. I called the provider to cancelled the appointment due to the weather.
Provider thanked me for the call and we both agreed the work would be completed the following week. The appointment was rescheduled for Wednesday 1/29. The electrician arrived promply. He was friendly and courteous. The work was completed in the amount of time the Provider informed me.
After the work was completed, I notice one of the sockets in the bathrom was not working. I called the Provider to report this issue.
The Provider had the electrician to come back out 7:30 p.m. to repair the problem.
I was overall pleased with the services. I will definitely use this service again.

I called Mr. Clark at 4 p.m. And within an hour he was at the house fixing the problem. He knew exactly what the issue was and quickly fixed it. His service level exceeded expectations.

He was punctual, polite and did good work. He responded quickly to my phone calls and listened to match my needs with what is permissible under code. Would definitely hire again.

I called Bill because the cord for my dryer was black and melted. I also had 3 outlets in the kitchen that were not working. He said he could replace the dryer outlet and would take a look at the kitchen issue. He replaced the dryer outlet and the cord to the dryer, took a look at the kitchen and said he would have to come back with a meter to determine what was going on in the kitchen. I was OK with this and we scheduled another appt. He would not let me pay him for the work that was already done, said I could wait and pay him all at once. He came back and not only took care of my kitchen but re-arranged some of my wiring in the breaker box so it was up to code. He kept me informed of everything he was doing, why it needed to be done and got my OK before he did it. When it came time to pay him, I had totally forgotten about the 10% discount. He asked me how I had heard of him and, when I told him Angie's List, he gave me the discount right away. I was very impressed with his honesty and trusting me to pay him for the previous work. I plan on having Bill back later this summer to discuss a complete overhaul of my entire electrical system and to install a few more outlets in my home.

I needed to have all the knob and tube, and old wiring removed and updated in my 1920’s home. From the first day I met Bill Clark, I had a good feeling about the work his company would do. He was very honest and straightforward with me, explaining what needed to be done to bring the house up to code. Also, since I am pretty handy they were willing to work with me, where I would do as much work as I could with their guidance. Compared to other companies they were also very reasonable in price for the amount of work being done. Other companies where extremely high with their estimate, and/or couldn’t give me a quote stating that it would be an hourly rate plus materials. I ended up working with one of Bill’s employees Rick, who was also very knowledgeable, trustworthy, and friendly to work with. I essentially bought all the materials, and worked hand and hand with Rick, at least as much as I could until all the updates I wanted were completed. Overall, the process took about a week’s worth of time, and I have all new electrical in an old home, that’s meets today's electrical codes. I am very pleased with the work that was done, and will definitely use BC Electrical for any further updates.

My oven kept blowing out the fuse. I'd called the Sears people to ask them to look at it, but they thought it sounded like an electrical problem. I found BC electric on Angie's List. The fellow showed up within 45 minutes of my call. He saw it was a problem with my breaker, and since he didn't have the exact breaker on hand, he switched it out with the air-conditioner breaker. He refused to accept any money for his visit...he figures he'll be back with a breaker when it gets time for me to turn on my air conditioner. Problem solved. Cost deferred.

Very knowledgeable and efficient service.

He started the job ealier than anticpated for the digging so we would not have to be waiting for them---his suggestion--great idea. He or his employee were there every day they advised us they would be and they were early. When we pushed dates back, they were agreeable to the delays. They offered suggestions and listened to our concerns, made changes to the original plans when we needed them---and never complained about it. They were great to work with and I would highly recommend using them. Their pricing was considerably better than two other companies from which we received bids.

Overall it went great. Bill Clark the owner first examined the house and fingued out how the job could be done but when he got here on the day to do the work things were not a simple as he anticipated but somehow they figured things out and mangaed to save the day with a niclely but difficult dedicated line to our new microwave. Bill Clard is very friendly and very reasonalbe too. I will definitely plan to use him again if I need any electrical work on my 20 year old house

Overall it went very well. We were selling our home and it required some updates. Bill was very knowlegable about the electrical codes that pertained to our Historic Home (@130 years old). He was prompt, professional and courteous. He was able to squeeze into some tight spaces and get the job done.His rates were very reasonable.
