We have all the materials, all you would have to supply is paint and a 200 dollar deposit. Will do free estimates or an hourly charge of 15. You can technically just paint over hairline cracks in plaster since these cracks are often harmless, but this will mostly be a waste of paint. Paint will only hide the hairline crack for a few months before it shows up again. The best solution is to repair the crack with flexible filler or joint compound before repainting.

However, you can rough up the painted surface and clean it to test if the mortar will stick. Remember that the underlying paint's texture and color may affect the schmear's final appearance—so starting with a bare brick wall will ensure the ideal finish.

Rather than learning how to repaint a room in its entirety, you might want to touch up areas that are showing worn paint or damage. Learning how to match the paint color already on the walls can be challenging, though. If you don’t have any of the original paint, your local hardware store might have a record in your account of your past paint color purchases. Otherwise, remove and take a small piece of painted drywall to the hardware store to do paint matching. Test the new paint in a hidden area to be sure it matches.
