We returned from a weekend trip to find that a storm had knocked out the power to several of our overhead lights and outlets in our basement. We'd checked the circuit breakers in the garage, to no avail. So we called Ashpaugh. The electrician arrived on time and went with my husband to the basement. In about 5 minutes time, he had located a GFI outlet in the storage room, reset it and "let their be light!" The best part of the visit was that the electrician did not make us feel dumb about only needed to reset the GFI!

As always, they were prompt, friendly and professional. They even straightened an old landscape lighting fixture for us. We would not hesitate to use their services again.

He was punctual and very pleasant and covered his shoes to keep carpet clean. Did the work that we wanted done.

Our outdoor front yard light stopped working. My husband didn't realize we're Angie's List members and called someone at random in the phone book. Prior estimates he received included the need to trench up our front yard to find the problem. I went to Angie's List and found Ashpaugh Electrical. They are local and very highly recommended on Angie's List. They spoke with my husband and agreed to come out and take a look. I could not be home on the day they scheduled, but they communicated with him by telephone. They came out, found the problem and took care of it same day (NO TRENCHING!) and even sent us the bill in the mail. Very simple and way less expensive than other estimates.

Good job. Outlet works well. Light switch looks great. Employee was on-time and professional. Price was quoted as dollars per hour plus materials with an estimated work time; work time was within reason.

They were within the time frame that they said they would be. There was one man. He did what he could. It turned out that it was a bigger problem that I thought, but he did as best he could.

They were easy to work with. They were on time and they came on our schedule. There was an issue and they came back to check up on it. Overall I was satisfied. I would recommend them to others. I felt like that spend a little more time than necessary on the lines which affected the overall price, it wasn't too bad.

Both of the experiences with them were absolutely fantastic. They came out on time and everything they fixed is working great and we paid a fair price for the quality of the service.

Dave patiently outlined the pros/cons and considerations regarding installation of an automatic generator for our house. He helped determine the size of generator that would be needed as well as what it would take to install it (e.g. we would have to extend our gas line about 50 feet to reach the spot where the generator would be installed). This helped us determine whether to go through with this project.

I was called prior to the appointment as requested. The repairman was courteous and explained everything he checked in our electrical system. We have been having a problem with our treadmill. When I am running on the treadmill it suddenly trips a breaker and I am in the dark. The repairman tried to make it trip but couldn't. He inspected everything and couldn't find anything to cause concern. He suggested I try to notice a pattern when this happens. He checked the light in the stairwell and said it was a special bulb that has a sensor that makes the light shut off when it gets too hot. He replaced the faulty light with one of our energy efficient bulbs and said that should take care of it. He said Ashpaugh would send us a bill. I asked him about how much it would be and he said around $160 with our Angie's List discount. I thought this was a bit steep for changing a light bulb but my husband says it is worth having the inspection and knowing there is nothing dangerous going on with our electrical system.

We forgot to give them the coupon at the end so my husband called them and they offered to still give it to us as long as we brought it in.

We recently sold our townhouse in Harbour Club, Indpls. During the inspection, an exposed wire from the water heater to the electrical source was noted. I called Ashpaugh to come out and repair it to meet code. They came the next day in the time window they had stated. The electrician was polite, well groomed, and articulate. The service was completed in a short amount of time.

Ashpaugh does a great job. They always come and do a thorough estimate, and the final cost does not vary from that. They show up on time and are conscientious while working in your home.

I realized I had an outdoor light that was out, so I got onto Angie's List. I seen Ashpaugh was highly rated, so I chose them. I didn't even bother to look at any other companies. I called them and they came out and did the work. Everything went great. I was happy I hired them.

Our microwave and oven shorted out about 7 a.m. in the morning. I called at 8:00 a.m. and they had someone out that afternoon to repair our issue. Work was done in less than one hour and, per my wife, technician was exceptionally nice and professional. Delighted with response time and professionalism. This is the second time we have used Ashpaugh. Both experiences have been exceptional.

I was VERY VERY pleased with Larry Shook's professionalism. What a great employee the Ashpaugh people have in this technician. Although my garage door was ka-put (20 years old, finally gave out) he was able to check my backyard lights and also fix my cook-top, which never heated up hot enough to boil water. I am extremely satisfied with the work that was done and they took off the Angie's List Coupon on their invoice. HIGHLY recommended. It's no wonder they have a top A rating on Angie's List.
