Brad came out and explained what needed to be done. He fixed the telephone wiring problem then. Since we also needed to replace a fixture, he told us where we should find one to our liking and he would install it in a separate appointment. He was polite, knowledgeable, and professional - exactly the sort of person one wants to work in and around one's house.

We like them very much. We have had them out several times. This is our new house and we have been having electrical problems. They came several times to trace the problems and fixed them. They were very efficient in explaining things. They did what they said they would do. They came on time. We were just very impressed with their helpfulness for us. We did not do much of a price comparison. However, we did have an estimate from someone else that was much, much higher and wanted to do a lot more than what was necessary.

Polite serviceman, wore bootcovers in the house, tested outlets, found the problem to be outdoor birdbath shorting out bathrooms, dismantled undercabinet fixture for return to store of purchase, answered all electrical questions, offered to return for diagnostics of whole house if we choose. Took a check for servica call today. We were well pleased.

It was a great experience overall.

We were given an 8am-Noon time slot and arrival time was right at 8am. The technician covered his shoes before walking in our home, and was courteous throughout. The work only took about 15 minutes and the technician explained what he was doing the entire time. Would be willing to use them on larger jobs in the future.

From beginning to end, it was perfect. Response to inquiry, arrival, work, cleanup and departure were without flaw. Impeccable experience.

Brian Aspaugh came out and looked over the job, explained requirements and submitted a detailed proposal the next day. We accepted proposal. They called us when the parts came in to schedule installation time. They coordinated with Power & Light company to shut off power to the house for time frame needed. Installed a new "riser" according to code and installed a new breaker box replacing a very old fuse box. Techs were neat and professional. The whole job got done in a day. They took care of the roof connection and it looks very nice.(the roof had just been replaced)Job looks great. We had no idea how much this would cost but were very pleased with the pricing.

We had just a bit of trouble with getting the person answering the initial call to understand what we wanted. But a time was scheduled. That day they called and said they had to postpone from morning until afternoon which was not a huge problem but we didn't think they could get the job done in that time. Tech came out and assessed our situation. He insisted that he submit a quote to us for approval. He made quite a few good suggestions, was able to give some ballpark pricing on individual items to help us figure out what changes were feasible. Proposal came back in a day and was reasonable so we signed our approval. Work was completed in two days to our satisfaction. It started out looking a bit unorganized but quickly things went into place and we are thrilled to have that part of our project done.

The person was prompt and very professional. He kept me informed during the process.

Ashpaugh performed the work over 3 1/2 days prior to Christmas and was performed to exceed our expectations. Greg was fantastic to work with and Brian made sure to check in with both my wife and myself to ensure we were happy. Excellent work overall. It did take us a while to get the quotation after initially meeting with Brian but in all fairness, it was a lot of work from the time it took to complete. Greg was our constant on the installation and was punctual and excellent to perform work for us. I am an engineer and have been around construction for over 25 years and these guys were definitely one of the best contractors I have ever worked with. We made a slight modification to lighting mid stream once we saw it in practice and the changes were accomodated the next day with no issue. I would definitely use Ashpaugh again and have recommended them to others already.

I am fairly handy and could have ordinarily fixed this myself but the line into the receptacle broke off so short that i couldn't begin to rework it. The Ashpaugh man had no problem with it however. He got the plug-in and circuit working in short order and gave me the Angies List discount without my having to ask for it. I am very pleased with Ashpaugh.

I have used them before and I got them off Angie’s List. They have always been very good. I thought the price was good and I was almost going with them.

The Ashpaugh Electric representative came to my home the day after I called and gave me an estimate for having overhead cam lights installed in my kitchen. An appointment was scheduled for the following week. The electrician called prior to arrival and was at my home at the time stated. He was very professional. He put down tarps to catch the crumbs, etc from the cutting he did in the ceiling. He was efficient and friendly. He cleaned up all the scraps from the job. I am very pleased with the new lights in my kitchen. I would call Ashpaugh again for electrical needs.

My experience with Ashpaugh Electric corroborates their very high-quality feedback on Angie's List. From start to finish, this was a pleasure. Upon my first telephone call, the individual who answered explained their booking and billing policies. When I had to postpone my first appointment at a late date because of business travel, she was kind and reassured me this presented no problem to Ashpaugh Electric. When the time came for the service call, Steve was prompt, courteous, efficient and effective. He fixed the problem while I worked in my home office, interrupting me only when necessary in order to explain what he to do and then what he had in fact done. These are quality people. Next time my old house has electrical problems, Ashpaugh Electric will be my first call.

I was called 20 minutes prior to arrival and they were well within the timeframe I had been told. There was no waiting and wondering when they might show up. He was very friendly and professional. Listened carefully to the description of the problem and had everything fixed within an hour. I would very definitely use this company again. Very pleased with the service.

I was given a timeframe of 12-3 and received a call letting me know Steve would be here 45 mins before he arrived. Steve arrived on time and was professional and knowledgeable. I thought I needed a new receptacle but after Steve evaluated the area, he determined all I needed was the single receptacle switched to a double. I appreciated the fact that I didn't just get what I thought I needed, but instead was given an alternative--which made much more sense. I asked Steve if I could watch and learn while he did the repair---he educated me step-by-step while he did the repair. It only took about 15 minutes for the repair. $70 trip fee a little high but worth the repair cost minus the Angie's List discount equaled a VERY SATISFIED customer. I will recommend Ashpaugh Electric to others and use them again in the future without hesitation!!

Larry came out and gave a quote (which we obviously accepted) and started working immediately. The price was perfectly fair, and much lower than another company. Larry was courteous, personal, honest, and hard working. The other electrician who came to quote the job mentioned that he would have to really rip up the drywall to do what we needed. Larry, however, found a way to do minimal damage (in the end saving us big money on drywall repairs!). I know that it took more time to do it this way, not to mention quite a bit of patience to fish the wires from one end of the room to the other through the ceiling, but he made it work! We genuinely could not be happier!

New outdoor electric service and indoor outlet installation

Excellent. They arrived on time, and came back to the house later after the wall was built, to finish. The owner, Brian, followed up with a phone early in the evening to insure everything went well and was to our satisfaction. Unbelievable service in this day and age! They will be our electrician as long as we live in Indy!

Ashbaugh's communication was superb throughout the entire process, the estimate was detailed, things got done when promised. I don't know what else the company could have done to provide a better experience.

The Ashpaugh Electric crew installed all of the new wiring and lighting over a two day period. This included 7 recessed lighting fixtures in our kitchen and 9 in our family room. Due to the skill of these experienced electricians, all work was performed without any damage to the walls or ceilings! We were very happy with the results. The team also replaced an existing ceiling fan and pendant light fixture in the kitchen. They even came back at a later time to adjust the light fixture height and reverse the fan paddle. Great customer service!
