Highly recommend Greg and Cole II. They were both extremely professional, and honest. Originally thought it would be a more expensive diagnosis, but when they realized it might not be as complicated as anticipated, they adjusted the price down. Unique to see that honesty and integrity in this day and age. Highly recommend, and will be making an appointment requesting Greg and Cole for them to come back out for additional work.

I’ve used Ashpaugh in the past so they were my first call. I contacted the company, thru their web site, and explained that I had a light pole that had broken off underground and that I was relatively sure that the cabling was not up to code. I wanted someone to come and look at it and give me an estimate to fix the issues. I was contacted by one of their staff and she told me that she could send someone to look at it, but that it would be a trip charge to do so and if we didn’t take care of it then another one to come and actually do the fix. She said that the company didn’t do free estimates. I was a little taken aback, but agreed to have the guy come. But after I thought about it some more I decided that wasn’t right and I canceled. I went searching for another company thru Angie’s List and contacted them. While they were relatively responsive, and highly rated on Angie’s List, I just didn’t get a warm and fuzzy from them and felt like their price was a little high, so I went looking again. The whole thing with Ashpaugh really bothered me as I felt like this was not the company I was used to dealing with and wondered if there was just some miscommunication between me and the employee. So, I perused their web site and it clearly states that they do free estimates so I once again contacted them thru the web site. I very clearly stated the issue and what I wanted and was quickly contacted by one of the staff. They said that they could set up an appointment with an estimator in a couple of weeks; that was agreeable with me. That same day, I received an email from the company saying that there was an estimator in the area and would it be possible for me to meet with him today; I agreed. The estimator showed up on time and we looked at the situation and discussed my options and the specifics of the job. Within a day or two, I had an estimate for the whole job, including the cost of the new pole and light fixture and it was significantly less than my first estimate. I agreed to have them do the job. I had to pay 50% up front. They set a time a couple of weeks out. They had to cancel because of the weather, but rescheduled for the next week. The electrician showed up on time and we briefly went over the plan and he started the job. It took about two hours for him to remove the old pole, trench the yard, install the new wiring, pole and light fixture. He also replaced the junction box that connects the outside wiring to the inside. He did a good job of cleaning up and, while you can see that work was done in the yard, it’s not very noticeable. I’m very happy with the new light and also with knowing that the whole circuit is up to code. Even with the initial bad start, I am glad that I used Ashpaugh for the job and will contact them again should we need more electrical work done. One thing I would suggest is to buy your own fixture. I opted to have Ashpaugh purchase the fixture and pole for me. While I like the looks of the one they selected for me and it’s an energy efficient LED design, I wasn’t super thrilled with how it illuminated the area. Mr. Ashpaugh explained to me the technology and design behind the new type of fixture and I understand and, honestly, I’m not sure that the old one did any better job of illuminating the sidewalk area, but I know that it “appeared” to do a better job than the new one. And even if the light coverage isn’t an issue, you would be selecting a style that fits your tastes.

Dudley arrived on time, took time to assess what needed to be done, and explained everything. Special light bulbs will need to be ordered, and he will return to finish the job. He was courteous and professional.

Dudley was great. This was a serious problem and not easily located but Dudley's experience enabled him to systematically and efficiently search for and resolve the problem. Nice guy too. Would definitely want him back for any future work we might need.

Perfect! They were always very explicit in putting a price to a job. If there was any changes they explained why and how much. I mostly worked with Dudley and he was very sweet, professional, explained everything thoughly. Highly recommend .

It took two and a half hours to do the work. He was very precice in his measurements and very neat. He let me know up front how much he would be able to get done in the 2 hour offer I had purchased and that he may need to go over.

We did have to wait a week for them to return to find problem but realize it was hard to locate and needed more than 1 man to work on.

Excellent. It was a difficult run to make, but Ron and Micah did a great job of getting it done. They were quick and efficient and the finished job looks great. Well done!

On time, got the job done efficiently. Utilized an angie's list deal for an hour of labor with service call. It covered everything except $12 in parts.

Went well other than initial scheduling mistake

I've used Ashpaugh a number of times for minor electrical jobs and have always been extremely pleased. Steve and Micah arrived on time and were efficient and professional and I was very pleased with the work. The only problem I had was some scheduling difficulty with the office requiring a couple of reschedules. I've not had that problem before, so hopefully it was just an aberrancy.

Dudley was on time. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything very well. He went the extra mile to make sure I was happy with all the work! Will ask for him next time!

Electricians Steve and Cole II were nice and worked efficiently.

Steve and Micah diagnosed my electrical problem immediately; they had the parts necessary to do the repair and it was done so quickly. We are quite pleased with their service.

Gary determined that it was the outdoor post light that was the culprit and ran new wiring to it. He also added two outlets for the freezer and garage frig so they are now on their own circuits and won't get kicked off by something else. He even installed my new post light since he had to take the old one off to rewire. Gary was helpful in getting me a great price for the work. He was very professional, personable, explained everything that he was doing and made sure that I was satisfied with the job. I would have Ashpaugh do electrical work for me again and would ask specifically for Gary. Kudos all around.

Both Steve and Micah were very responsive and professional. Pleased with their attitude and speed of working the problems.

I've always experienced outstanding service from Anspaugh Electric and today was excellent. Dudley, the electrician for this visit was outstanding. I had several items needing attention and he was patient with my questions and explained relevant details about what needed repair and why, and, in the case of an item that didn't need repair taught me how to manage it. He gets an A+++ from me.

Dudley as always did outstanding work. Very professional and knowledgeable.
